Just a word for the wise. Never do business with Landmark Dodge in In Belton. This dealership is incompetent. Worst experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle and I have bought a lot of vehicles over the years. We traded in a Ford Explorer with a buyout of 23,000. The contract agreed to that amount. About 2 months go by and I get a bill from Ford for $1,222. Turns out they don’t know how Ford does their trades and they just turned it in to Ford “for me”. So now I owe excess mileage charges and late fees. Not once did this dealer notify me they were having a problem. It took me all of 2 minutes to figure out all they had to do was pay the 23,000 with a check to Ford on my behalf and I take the car to a Ford dealer and do the buyout. That way I would not have incured further charges. When I contacted the dealership all they said was this was a nightmare and I should be glad they got it handled. They would not pay off the additional $1222 and that I was out of luck. So now I have to sue them to get the money rightfully owed to me! Terrible customer service. Avoid this dealership at all cost.
Though the issue was not intentional the customer service provided by associates at this business was unacceptable and disrespectful. I had called to voice my concerns to the management staff. Though there are members of the staff that seemed genuinely concerned with my issues. The initial manager I made contact with was disrespectful, unprofessional, ostentatious. This was the behavior that I found to be unacceptable. Additionally, the company should have offered a rental vehicle until the issue was resolved. I missed work, my wife missed appointments for herself and our children. and we had to call family to pick us up to return home, due to the issue. Basically I was without a vehicle for a day, when I was not at fault. Lastly, I requested to speak with the owner, since he personally (according to the associates at the business) denied my request for a rental. I was told by his assistant that there was no contact information for him, and would not schedule a meeting, provide a email, or phone number for the owner. Subsequently, she stated that I would never speak with the owner and I should basically move on.
In closing I have found out that at Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep, LLC. everyone is a manager, but no one is responsible. I was passed from Manager to manager each stating that the other was their supervisor and they were just doing what they were told by the owner. When asked to speak to owner, there is no contact for the owner. Needless to say this will be the last vehicle I will purchase from this company. They are not all bad people, but some lack the character to do the right thing. Instead, they wait for someone else to make it right. Though the issue is in the process of being resolved and they are making an effort to change the VIN Numbers. The Fact that I was at a loss for something I did not do, and the company basically stated it will be ok to drive the car with illegitimate paperwork has soiled my relationship with this dealer.
On Wednesday September 26, 2012, my son Joseph Hicks took my 2009 Jeep Compass to Landmark Jeep, in Morrow Ga. The car seemed to have a bad battery. Service Advisor Jamal Diamond told my son that he would need to first replace the battery, and then check for other problems. He was quoted $79.00 plus installation for the battery, and $107.00 for diagnosis. Mr. Diamond was told hold off on any repairs until he talked to me.
I spoke with Mr. Diamond, at approximately 7pm, at which time we discussed the cost and the possible problem. I told Mr. Diamond, to just replace the battery. On Thursday, September 27, 2012 I tried reaching Mr. Diamond, beginning at approximately 12pm and after being transferred to the voice mail of two other Service Advisors and finally getting his voice mail after three tries, I was able to leave a message. No return call. At 430pm I called again, I finally was able to speak to Mr. Diamond, he advised he that the final cost was $223.88. I was clearly shocked that a $79.00 battery was now costing over $200.00. He stated that they had run the $107.00 diagnosis (that I had not authorized), and that the car would be ready at 530pm. When I arrived at the dealership at 545pm, and questioned the bill, I was told that “HE” did not feel comfortable just installing the battery, in case there was another problem. Any decisions made regarding additional problems or concerns with my car should have been mine. After a very heated discussion, including me saying “I would not recommend this service department to anyone I knew, and would warn every one that I know of the deceptive practices and poor customer service, offered by Landmark.” His response was “Every one doesn’t have to like everyone”. I then ask to speak with the Service Manager; he was paged but no response. I paid the charges because I needed my car for work.
I feel that I am due a refund of $107.00 plus taxes for services that I did not authorize.
Mike was a great salesperson and even located the exac jeep grand Cherokee I wanted instead of just trying to switch me to something they had on the lot
I went to Landmark Dodge to buy a car I was a repeat customer I have never had a more insulting experience in my life! I attempted to puruse a vehicle I knew I could afford. The vehicle cost 6988 and after making me wait 24 hours and costing me a deal someplace else. They decided to tell me that the Bank wanted 3900 down and larger payments than $175 A month!..What a crock of crap. If I had 3900 down for a car I could have bought a new car for much less than an 11 year old truck! I believe that Landmark Dodge does not want to sell cars they would rather rape any customer they can find! My advice do not buy a car from these folks you will not get a good deal no matter what car you are looking to buy. In addition the salesman was constantly telling me to stay where I was not to go out side to have a cigarette. The Price of the doing business with Landmark Dodge is not worth any vehicle you could buy from them My advice….never buy anything from them show them that customer respect should be the highest priority.
what truck were you buying?
What was your credit score?
Who is Mike Riddel?
And finally, why would you pay that much for an 11 year old truck anyways short bus? Sounds like ur just dumb
