I took my truck in because the blower motor quit working. Removing and replacing the fuse fixed the problem, but for only a short time. In addition, my XM radio reception had been poor, so I asked that it also be repaired. When I picked up the truck they told me that they were unable to fix the XM as it was not dealer installed. I wasn’t aware of that. I purchased the truck from Speedway, and the radio was in it when I bought it. It’s the same radio that is pictured in my owners manual.
A day after the truck was “fixed” the blower motor quit again. Their $300 repair wasn’t any more effective than playing with the fuse. I reviewed my receipt for my repair and realized that they’d charged me $92.00 to tell me that they couldn’t fix my radio.
I called and told them that they had not fixed my air-conditioner, and they put me off until next week.
I’ve had problems with their service department in the past. When they replaced a headlight under warranty, they left my cruise control disconnected and left the old wiring harness lying on top on the engine.
Save yourself the headache. Avoid Speedway Chevrolet.
Great overall experience. We were not pressured, not made to feel guilty about going to another dealership to check prices, all of our questions were answered. We did not even feel pressured by the finance guy to purchase the extended warranty. He presented the facts and our decision was made based upon those facts, not him spinning horror stories.
We did visit another dealership, and returned to Speedway to close the deal.
Great experience. I will be back.
