I lost my husband a few years ago so this was the first car buying experience by myself. I felt they knew I had no clue in the car buying process. They knew I had been in an accident and was in a crunch to get my rental car back. I found a truck I really liked but after hours of false promises they refused to lower the price and said they could not take that big of a hit because what a great truck it was yada yada yada, finally after several hours I left. When I went home I looked on line and saw the same truck for $10, 000 cheaper! I went back the next day and bought it and there were things that needed to be done and the salesman promised me they would be done and it would look like a brand new truck. When I went into financing, the finance manager Rod Martinez told me about the extended warranty that would make my warranty “certified” and that it also would cover dents, chips and scratches up until 80,000.00 miles. He told me this along with the salesman Frank and my son Steven and had my older son on 3 way on the phone. I was concerned still about the stuff that had to be done on the truck and asked if there was a time frame that I had to have it done by and Rod Martinez said no if I wanted to wait I could include the items into whatever I took the truck in for and it would be included in my 100.00 deductible.
I went yesterday to have everything done and the service man said nothing but maybe 2 things would be covered but that he wouldn’t know until looking at it and of course paying a service fee if it is not covered. He asked me if I had a “we owe” or “I owe” I had no clue what he was talking about all I knew was nothing that was promised me when I bought the truck would be fixed. Had I known this at the time, I would have never bought it. I was definitely hustled. The things that need to be fixed will only get worse and I will be forced to fix it somehow. I am just sick to my stomach and definitely feel they saw a naive woman and completely took advantage, every penny I got from my accident went into those hustlers. I believe they should fix everything they promised me and give me back my money I paid for this senseless warranty.
I left Parkway Chevrolet in tears. I will never do business with them again.
I came here cause i needed a car quick, they did it for me. HOWEVER! I got hosed.
They don’t take any pride in their cars. they don’t care what is wrong with them. I bought a van from them and the tranny started going bad 3 months after i took it. Nice right?
i have two other negative stories too.
just know, if you are going to come here to get a car, you’re going to overpay, and you’re going to get a car thats going to break down, soon.
My visit started well, ended up buying a used car from them. Everything went well, after reviewing the financing paperwork a few days later I found that they had snuck in $987 in extra fees. Two were for warranties which the finance person said”These come with every car we sell” and no mention of price… thought it was a free perk of buying from them. The third was a $300 window tinting service, which had not been explained or offered… and to boot not even done on the car!
They are refunding the tint but refuse to refund the other $700.
DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP, THEY ARE SCAMERS!!
