My J K Chevrolet reviewI am a not so proud owner of a 2010 Equinox. On April 13th 2015 I
had a massive transmission failure. I am 80 yrs old and I am a
disabled polio victim. I was on a major highway and couldn’t stop
until the next exit, I drove on short distance to a Transmission
repair shop and had them diagnose the problem. They drove it around
the block and by the time they got back there was no forward or
reverse left wouldn’t move at all. The guy at the shop said he would
call me later about what he finds out.
I got to checking on my warranty and I found where I had a
100,000
miles on the drive train. My 2010 Equinox had 51,400 miles at the
time of the failure, I immeadiately called Chevrolet about it and
spoke to Josh at customer service he gave me a case # of
71-1465793952. He told me that he could arrange to have my vechicle
towed to J.K. Chevrolet to be repaired. I called the repair shop and
the guy had already taken the transmission out of the vechicle. I
talked to Josh and he said they could still tow with the
transmission in the rear of the vechicle, he said he would call the
contact guy at J.K. and have him call me.
The contact guy called me and absolutely refused to even consider
repairs because he could not diagnose the problem with the
transmission out of the vechicle. I had it repaired and I am sending
you a copy of the repairs. If this is the way Chevrolet is going to
treat older disabled people I will certainly see about everyone
knowing what kind of warranty service is available at J.K.
