It is obvious to me that you have no intention of honoring the sale price you advertised on the Internet of $31,866.00 for the 2019 Blue SS Camaro you have in stock.
Instead of being transparent and up front with your advertised pricing, your dealership is practicing deceptive and false advertising to lure unsuspecting consumers to your business. This is a hurtful practice that destroys any good faith reputation that may exist in the automobile industry. In case you did not know, deceptive business practices and theft by deception are criminal felonies and I hope you are called on this, or even better yet, discontinue this practice.
I am not interested in doing any business with a business that practices deliberate deception. Instead of selling the car for the advertised $31,866.00, I now have the “real” price of $37K. They should all be ashamed of themselves. As I shopped around this ad was shown to other Chevrolet dealers who know all about what they are up to. It seems they have developed quite a reputation among their peers that is far below acceptable.
They all need to get God in their lives and correct their moral compass. I don’t know how any of them that facilitate these practices can sleep at night.
Parks Chevrolet in Huntersville, NC is the most unprofessional dealership ever. I made a service appointment one week in advance. This appointment was confirmed over the phone and via email. However, upon my arrival the service adviser states that he doesn’t have me listed in his appointment log and that he will have to fit me in (can you believe this S…?) which may take up to two hours…I was absolutely livid. I told him no thanks and left. I ended up getting an appointment at near by Victory Chevrolet last minute and the service was great.
Parks buyers & clients be aware! I have owned a vehicle “pre-owned” from the Parks at the Lake dealership for only three wks. I paid close to $38,000 on 2/20/12 for this SUV – cheap car? It started having significant trouble two weeks after the purchase. A local mechanic specializing in that type of SUV found problems, totaling over $2,900: 1. Right rear shocks leaking fluid, bushings saturated 2. Cam solenoid and left cam position sensors leaking (prevents oil from wicking up the main engine harness) 3. Power steering reservoir leaking fluid (leaks can cause steering pump to fail at any time) 4. Transmission service with filter past due 5. Dirty brake fluid and 6. Dirty engine filters 7. Front headlamp out. While test-driving the vehicle, the tire pressure alert came on. We asked them to have this fixed and they claimed they did. After getting the car home and the tire deflating two more times, our mech found a nail in the tire. I think Parks would have found this IF THEY HAD CHECKED THE TIRES LIKE WE ASKED. (Head lamp – same as #7). We had to replace it ourselves. When I followed up with Parks management, David Zeigler, I was told that my warranty that came with the car covered none of the above and that they were not responsible for any of the above before putting the car on the lot to sell. Zeigler also commented that “there are probably a lot of used cars on his lot that have repairs and leaks…I can’t pay the service department to fix these…we would lose too much money.” *Update* On 3/13/12, David offered my husband $400 towards the $3000 of repairs to “keep quiet” and even said that if he gave us that check, “he’d better not see any bad reviews of Parks out there.” Is that more of a threat or an insult? I’m not sure. Also,to quote owner Sissy Parks’ email to my concerns that they sold me an unsafe SUV, “When we go over a pre-owned car for sale, we only look to make sure the vehicle is safe and it must pass a North Carolina state inspection. We do not completely refurbish the car…You bought a four year old vehicle with over 50,000 miles. It was priced accordingly. It is normal to see seepage at the seals in a vehicle of this age…you should have had it checked by an outside mechanic.” REALLY? You would think in the year 2012, buyers would not have to drive the car 20 miles to the nearest mechanic and pay for an inspection of a car they do not yet own – most dealers handle all problems themselves because they have a QUALIFIED SERVICE DEPT. And we were never allowed to take the car off the property by ourselves. The sales consultant insisted on riding with us. No wonder…I’d be a scared sales guy too, working there. Well, not only do they not take care of major repairs, they do not take care of minor ones, either, before putting them on the lot. And, these are significant leaks, NOT SEEPAGE. I was also handed a report from the service department through sales consultant, Greg Clayton, with the assurance that it had undergone a thorough inspection and refurbishment process. The defense that this is a four year old vehicle, and that I needed to buy another expensive warranty, in addition to the one that supposedly came with the car, and implying that it is too old for them to repair prior to my purchase, is insulting and a poor business practice. Shop somewhere that will back their cars for at least 30 days! Parks has no problem, morally or ethically, with selling you a $38,000 lemon. I would have to assume that the only way they stay in business is tricking all of us one-time clients. I cannot imagine that this was what the initial founder, Hubert Parks, intended for the future of his dealership. Sissy Parks’ and the Parks’ management way of handling modern-day customers should catch up with them!
I bought a 2007 chevy cobalt 2 weeks ago from this dealership. Had to have 2 recalls done on it . Then i drove it to my girl friends dad house and when i hit the gravel in his driveway it sounded like the whole front end of the car was falling apart. I then took it back to the dealership and they had to replace the entire steering column. At this point i am up to 4 return visits to the dealership 3 for repairs and 1 for the salemen doing the paperwork incorrectly.I have 700 miles on the car and 400 are from going back and forth to the dealership. After having the steering column fixed i noticed all the wiring behind the steering column under the hood was practically tied in knots. The dealership looked at it again and told me this was normal. While sitting in the dealership one man returned with his truck saying that his engine blew 2 weeks after buying it from this dealership. another guy told me he had 50000 miles on his truck and the odometer went out and had to pay over 1000 dollars to be able to see his mileage again. These guys are buying the cheapest dealer auction cars they can get the ones the other dealerships dont want. detailing them really well and selling them at retail price. all i want is for them to give me a car in retail condition but of course they want do that becuase that dont have any cars in retail condition. Buy a toyota or a honda. I traded in a mazda for this car and would do anything to have it back. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE PRISE IS GOOD. You will loose in the long run. Go to carmax get a warranty and enjoy your life.
