I bought my 2005 Kia Rio new from Brodie Buick. When they recieved my tags, I took my car in to have them put the new tags on, after leaving there I went to Sonic and the girl who brought out my order ask me if I knew my front tag was on upside down, honestly, I didn’t! I didn’t bother to look at them when I left Brodie Kia’s service area. When I had it service the first couple of time (lube, oil changed etc..) for free, every 3,000 miles, as agreed on the warrenty, they got right to the job, I was in the waiting room for probably 30 min. Then after that it was pretty sorry service, not to mention, I had to sit and listen to them aruge and curse at each other the whole time I waited while they service my car. I no longer would sit in their waiting room after about the 3rd or 4th time because it stunk so bad, and too, I wanted to see just exactly what all they did under the hood. It seem like when I would sit outside the waiting area they would not only take longer to service my care but, they would curse and degrade each other more and louder, ( they were so mad at each other one time, one got in a customers truck and the other went to move another customers car while cursing back and forth at each other, neither were paying attention to which way the other was going that the one driving the truck stated backing out of the shop while the other one had gotten in another customer car was moving it closer to the building and parked it right in front of the exit where the other guy was coming out of and they hit, they didn’t hit hard but it did make a small indention near the edge of the back light, but the thing about this, the owners of the car and truck were in the waiting room and had no clue that this had happened and they did not bother to tell them because they were so busy cursing and blaming each other) me and another customer witnessed this. After about two years, I was informed that I had to have a transmission flush done, and it could only be done by their service tech. because if I took it somewhere else and something happened to the transmission, the warranty would no pay for it to be fixed. That flush was not free ( $190.00), after the tran. flush I had one other oil change, then when it was almost time for another oil change the check engine light came on, I request that they find out why my engine light was on, and, they didn’t find anything wrong, they unhooked the battery and rehooked it and said ” It’s o.k.” After a couple of days, the light came back on so, I took it back, they again found nothing wrong and they unhooked the battery. When it was almost time for my 3,000 mile service the light came on again so, I took it in to be service and told them that the car sounded different and that it acted like it was having a hard time shifting gears. After the oil change the service tech drove it down the highway a bit, then came back and reported “it drove just fine to me”. Well I didn’t get no more then half a mile from the place when the check engine light came on. After driving my car like this for another 2 1/2 months I called them one evening and informed them that my car would not moving when I put it in drive and that I was having it towed in that evening. A month later I got my car back from them (it had to have a new transmission). It’s a good thing I took everything out of the car( even my insurance card) before I left it with them because when I got it back, someone went through the whole car including the trunk ( the felt and the cover board were out of place), and it STUNK! After a couple of more oil changes the engine light come on again, and again I took it back this time they said that it was some sensor, they said they repaced it and everything should be fine. well it wasn’t the light came back on, but this time after about a week. I didn’t get anymore of my free oil changes, they were closed down shortly after this happened. I parked my car and waited to see when they would open again so I could take the car in for an oil change and service but, it didn’t happen, and 5 months later I had to pay someone to replace the oxygen valve ( $209.00) that had come loose somehow and the wires were slowly being cut in half, and too, I still haven’t had my oil changed.

SOOOOO true! I got ripped of by this dealer as well. They are currently being sued by Mitsubishi Motors for $1,000,000.00 and they have had their dealer license taken aways as well as all the cars on their lot. Check out this story about what happened to brodie kia.
