Never buy a car from Don McCue Chevy!
While looking at a 2013 Chevy suburban we asked the sales rep if the running boards on this vehicle moved up and down and his response was
“They are stationary on this model”. We purchased the car and had our mechanic look over the vehicle and he discovered the running boards were not working and they are supposed to move up and down/poower but were not. I called the General Manger, Abe Mustafa, and told him the problem and he said they would not fix or replace the running boards even though his own sales rep told us they were stationary when what he really should have said was they were BROKEN!
Never buy a used car from here unless you want to get lied to!
We were looking at purchasing a new car for the past 4 months and have been to over 30 dealerships in the Chicagoland area. We have had amazing experience with the staff at Don McCue Chevrolet. We were taken care of thru the whole process from the selecting the vehicle via email and phone calls, being updated regularly during the entire build process to the service we received in picking our brand new Equinox up. Their staff was very informative in regards to how the vehicle worked, warranty and service information. The whole staff was very polite and I highly recommend anyone to buy from Don McCue.
We won a free car in a sweepstakes, and this dealership was chosen to provide it for us. Even though we weren’t there to buy, everyone we encountered from start to finish was friendly and polite. And even though we chose a vehicle that was slightly above the price range we were awarded, the owner waived the additional cost for us. When we are next in the market to buy, we will most definitely be returning to Don McCue.
Felt we made a deal that made everyone happy == staff friendly and respectful == no pressure to buy

only one complaint == car was delivered with less than a quarter tank of gas == this one of the little things always remembered

p { margin-bottom: 0.08in; } I went to Don McCue Chevrolet on a Friday looking to test drive a certified used Chevy Malibu. This was the first stop in my search for a used car. My salesman, Chris Basso, showed me the options and took me on some test drives that night. After some thought, I decided that a new Malibu would be a better fit for what I was seeking in a car. Being my first stop, I didn’t want to make a decision that evening and left without making a purchase. After I did some looking online, Chris followed up the next day with a phone call and we made a deal on the following Monday.
At first I felt that I broke a cardinal rule of car shopping by only stopping at one dealership. However, everyone I dealt with at Don McCue Chevrolet was so upfront and honest throughout the whole process that the uneasiness did not last long at all. There were no pricing games, negotiations were relaxed, and they gave me a fair value for my trade. The people at Don McCue Chevrolet are the type I seek out when doing business.
I have bought a couple used cars in my life, and the process has always been frustrating. Comparing cars, options, and the typical “dealer” experience. After buying a car from Don McCue Chevrolet, I can safely say they are no typical dealership. They care about being fair, honest, and selling the customer an excellent car for the price they pay. When I need to replace this car a few years down the road, I will definitely be stopping at Don McCue Chevrolet. They will very likely again be my first and only stop.
This dealership was great! I did not feel pressure at all, everyone was very informative. I would recommend this dealership to any of my friends and family!
I’ve not bought a car in 9.5 years so I was anxious. Mike Basso put me at ease and took me to the perfect car for my needs. I didn’t need to look further. The finance manager, Don, came prepared to address my greatest concern and that was the financing terms. He too came through. All in all, they turned what I expected to be an very uncomfortable experience into one that was exceptional.
