Beware buying a used car from Larry H Miller Toyota (Boulder Toyota). They will tell you they will to a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle you are about to buy. Fact is they may or may not actually do the inspection. Either way, they will not advise you of all the things that are wrong with the vehicle you are about to buy. Tell them you you want to take the vehicle to your mechanic you trust for an inspection. If they refuse, walk! We bought a 13 Honda Civic from them (for my daughter) believing they would do this “comprehensive inspection”. found out shortly after a number of things wrong with the car. I know better, which is the worse part. Fuck!!!!! Brought it to the dealers attention, they politely told me to fuck off,
Bought a new car from this dealership. The salesman, Ricardo, was an absolute gem. His manager, Tony, is an absolute liar. He claimed that he couldn’t touch the $599 handing fee because he would get sued for giving certain customers preferential treatment. I know for a fact that all dealership can remove whatever fee they want. It’s called sales. I also graduated law school and know his claim was a complete lie. The is no liability risk for removing fees. He’s just a liar. The he undervalued my trade in at $4500z I showed him that those cars were selling for $10-12k. He claimed that they would be sending my trade in to Utah or somewhere so his dealership wouldn’t see any of that profit. I checked their site a week later and they are selling my trade in for $11k. I am astounded how easily and repeatedly he lied to my face while claiming he was being completely up front about everything. He also acted like I was crazy for calling him out on his bullshit. I will never go back to that dealership, to service my car or otherwise. I am disgusted that they operate with complete dishonesty. Toyota, you need to talk to this dealer about their practices.
Jennifer was outstanding! She helped me right away and was extremely knowledgeable. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I would recommend this service department to everyone!
We brought our 2006 Highlander in for scheduled maintenance at Boulder Toyota, including replacing the cabin air filter. We were told at another shop that the filter needed to be replaced, but they didn’t have one (and couldn’t get it) and we’d have to go to the dealer for that. When I called their parts/service department to purchase the filter so I could install it myself (it’s an easy job) I was told that they didn’t sell them, and I’d have to pay $45 to have them install it.
OK, I can’t buy one myself, so the only alternative is pay them $45 to install a $5 filter, which takes less than 15 minutes. Swallow hard, and hand them my credit card. But that’s not the kicker.
The next time I have my oil changed (at another shop) they tell me that the cover door for the cabin air filter is missing, as well as all the retainer clips for the engine cover. Not only do they charge me $45 to perform a trivial job, but they don’t do it correctly and leave off parts. When I called them about it they said I should bring the vehicle back and they’d try to find some replacement parts (at my expense). Excuse me? It had a cabin air filter when I brought it in do you plan to sell it back to me, or will you be taking that off another customers Highlander?
I’ve bought a new car about once every 4 years for over 30 years. This is the first time that I felt no pressure, that the salesman was honest. And so, for that matter, was the finance manager.
I’d definitely go back there for my next car.
I feel like these people are not honest. They do not give you the right information and all they are interested is for you buy the vehicle and it is up to you there after. Please please be careful when you deal with these guys. You better do shopping of a good dealer some where else if you did not buy any vehicle from them.. if you already bought one you already know what getting service by them like. I am really disappointed specially after I bought my car. I bought all the services and I am told that I should pay when I brought in. The reason was the finance guy with whom I dealt was not there anymore… then the customers who dealt with him will be “sorry that guy who told you so is not here anymore ..”
Good luck for those who already bought vehicles and and take care for those who are considering these guys.
This was the MOST high-pressure experience I have had at dealerships. They attempted to get me to “negotiate” on a lease/loan paper, when I clearly told them I want to purchase with my own financing. My husband was so upset when he heard how they cornered me and wouldn’t let me leave without signing something I did not feel comfortable doing, he called to complain. The sales manager said, well, “some dealerships require a commitment, we wanted a signature on what he might want to pay(on a lease paper that they did NOT disclose was s lease paper), some places even want you to leave a shoe”. Hmmmm….I’ll bring my shoe next time.
Manipulative and sneaky. DO NOT GO HERE!
