First let me start by stating the salesman Dustin was wonderful, unfortunately his manager is a jerk. I went into the dealership the last weekend of the month with all intentions of purchasing a certified pre-owned 2011 Subaru I had seen on the internet. Dustin took us out for a test drive and as I stated he was extremely helpful. I had pre-approval from my credit union for the purchase. Never once did they ask to see my paperwork, instead the manager wanted me to purchase the car right then under their financing at a higher interest rate because they wanted the end of the month sale. Per the sales manager the car was going to sell by the end of the month and they would not wait on my financing. I left and told Dustin to call me if it hadn’t sold by Monday night the 31st. Yesterday I purchased an exact replica of the Subaru that I had viewed and wanted to purchase from Annapolis Subaru with the exception of color. I paid less and they had no problem with me utilizing my credit union as I gave them proof of the pre-approval. As an added bonus, the car I had wanted from Annapolis Subaru was still for sale yesterday. Annapolis Subaru must be doing well in this economy as they would not sell me a car. I’ve never had an experience like that before, but I also will never step foot in that dealership again. For the sales manager, raising your voice so I can hear your conversation about how “this car is going to sell by the end of the month, we can’t hold it”, I’m not stupid and more than likely better educated then you…you are an ass who throws business away.
