Wow. Just received an email to ask me about my recent service.
Yesterday, my car froze, and stopped working, all electrical OUT. Couldn’t even lock my doors…… Luckly I was pulling into a convenient store and not driving down the highway. I called the service department and after a number of times, left a voice mail with the service manager. I called repeatedly, and finally connected to someone (off site) who tried and tried to contact someone in the service department but could only get voice mails. The only advice the women on the phone could give me is “bring your car to the service department!”. Really? That’s all you can say?
How was that going to happen? I told her the car was just 7 days old with the Guidepoint install done 2 days prior. She also gave me the number to the “Guide Star” installer who NO Longer installs the systems for BOCH…. I called the number to be told “we no longer do installs for BOCH because their fee’s are too low”. Wow, I wonder who is now installing these systems.
After sitting in my “dead” car for over one hour, waiting for a call back, my AAA (thank goodness for AAA!) service flatbed driver came to take my car. When he opened the hood he found BOTH battery connection disconnected to my battery. (one bearly attached and the other not attached) The service consultant did NOT tightened the battery connections after installing my Guidepoint.
Good thing they fell off while I was pulling into a parking lot because this carelessness could have caused a catastrophic incident when the battery cables finally fell off. Leaving the car stiff, brakeless and unable to safely stop. I have still yet to receive a call back from the service manager. I wouldn’t expect to get one back either.
Well, my husband warned me NOT to buy at Boch. I should have listened to him. You can be sure that you will not get any more of my $$ in service. I will travel to Copeland Toyota in Brockton.
EXTREME DISSAPOINTMENT! This past Sunday, after seeing a Toyota Camry special commercial on television, my father suggested that I may want to check it out. He was skeptical but told me to ask questions before we drove out (we live over 2 hours away). I first spoke with the salesman who told me that they did have the Camry’s advertised in the commercial in stock, and in several colors including “several black, gold and silver”. I told him I would be coming from CT and needed to make sure it would be worth the drive and that they were definitely available. I asked about additional fees and he confirmed everything in the ad. I then received a call from the sales manager, Arnold. He said that he called to make sure that his salesman answered all of my questions. I asked how the deal was available in MA but not CT, and he told me how the company pays cash for their cars, how it is such a large dealership exc. He told me the specs on the car and once again confirmed that they were available. I told him that I would be travelling over 2 hours and inquired about registering the car in CT. On Monday, before leaving to make the drive I once again called and spoke to Brendan who confirmed that they had the cars and told me he could have a salesman available to get the purchase process going. Upon arrival at the dealership, the salesmen I worked with told me that you did NOT have any of the stock numbers in the ad available. He said although he had Camry CE’s they would be more money and that he only had silver in stock. I explained everything to him that I wrote in this comment, including giving him the names of the people I spoke with. I told him I drove 2 + hours because I was told the cars were available. He spoke with several people and then came back with a sales manager who told me the price for the same car but different stock number would be $2000 more and only silver unless I spent even more for an updated model. I am disgusted by the blatant use of this “bait and switch” tactic! I told every person I talked to how far I was coming, asked every question, and was repeatedly lied to by the sales staff. My father and I wasted over 6 hours driving to and from your dealership to be lied to by unethical salespeople.
I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Though the sales person was good, but the supervisor with him was real bad. I regret i bought car from him. There are many other dealers in market not just Boch toyota the one. Email them, get the quotations and then negotiate accordingly, you would get much better price the Mr.Boch. I would never go there again in my life. When I said I have to see another car as well, sales person told us, let me know if you really interested, as otherwise I would be wasting time with you when I have many other costumers to deal with. Also Sales Supervisor,my God, he was so rude. I have never seen somebody so rude in america. He dint even said hello and introduced himself, just started what is your probelm. And when we said the other dealer giving this price, he started arguing so bad. I regret i did business with them and I wonder where my self respect went of that day and I bought car with them. This is just to let people know my experience. Nothing personal.
Hope this helps atleast one person.
Good Luck
I deposited 500$ to reserve a car with this dealer, and ended up with canceling it because I don’t want to drive that far and another dealer beat its offer. But the salesman didn’t return my deposit back to me!
These folks have no sense of salesman ship or service . We were made to wait for hours …these folks are
Salesman struggled with English, couldn’t understand half of what he was saying. Pressured me to buy car that was not what I wanted. After 5 trips back and forth to Sales Manager (at least 10 minutes each) I walked out. When I went back to drop my leased vehicle (lease had expired) they took 3 weeks to notify Toyota Financial. These guys are just like their owner, Ernie Jr.: all glitz, couldn’t care less about the little folk.
After receiving a new leased 2012 prius, I drove off the lot with intense shaking as soon as I hit the highway. I brought the car in for service because of this problem. I was notified that my vehicle had two bad tires that needed to be replaced. I was assured by Steve that this can happen when “a car has been sitting on the lot for a few months”. After three hours of waiting, the problem was “fixed”. I felt uneasy knowing that two bad tires were not discovered when the car was initially detailed and prepped for me. Come to find out, there were actually 3 bad tires, rather than two as my sales team told me. I notified my sales team that I was not happy with my purchase. I expected the same if not improved ride with my new 2012 Prius. He told me it was the exact car and should drive the same. Rob also said it will take 1,000 miles to break in a new car so I needed to give it time. I never had to let my 2010 Prius “break in”. When I refused to sign the final paper releasing my old lease, Steve told me I could leave with my old car but “I would be leaving here owning two cars.” Sales clearly knew I was dissatisfied but did absolutely nothing to try and make things right. I have returned to the service department for alignment issues and tire concerns. After having the car two days since my last service appointment- the alignment is off again. Do yourself a favor and do not buy your Toyota from Boch, even if the price is right, having to work with the sales team is not worth the savings.
