After seeing the other reviews I felt compelled to leave my own. This was the second time I’ve dealt with this dealership on a leased vehicle after having prior makes and I must say, this was the most enjoyable leasing experience I’ve had to date. The last one was good too but this one was even better with Steve Zagoric who was the sales associate I dealt with. He was very patient with me, didn’t try any hard sell tactics and worked with me to meet the numbers I wanted for my lease and he had a great sense of humor throughout the whole process which made it enjoyable. Chris Wells in finance had he same patience and respect for me. He went through everything step by step and didn’t push any “upsell” on anything. The whole process was probably the most relaxed I’ve had in leasing vehicles over the last 10 years, so although not everyone may agree with me I would absolutely recommend Wayne Mazda for someone in the market for a car.
This dealership is the lowest of the low. The owner will tell you one thing then turn around and do something else. Go anywhere else but this dealership; they have secured their reputation based on shady business practices. Ask any other dealers who know these guys. One of my best friends is a car salesman for years and would not go near this dealership.
This is a dishonest dealership, stay away at all costs.
The owner/salesmen are underhanded and sleazy.
Please, do yourself a favor and check dealerships online
to see their rating before wasting time as I did here.
Dealership poorly managed, salesman Steve seemed decent enough, his mgr.John was rude and condesending and as a result lost three sales for his salesman.Save yourself from starvation Steve and find a decent place to work!
I purchased two Mazda vehicle from this dealership last year from a salesperson whom Wayne Mazda fired since then. It seems this auto franchise owned by Mr. Kevin DiPiano changes staff like the patrons at a fast food restaurant.
I went through tremendous ordeal to remove two extended warranty purchased reluctantly during new vehicle purchases. So far, I have filed two complaints with this dealership for shady business practices.
I strongly urge you to do some research if you’re shopping around for a new Mazda or pre-owned vehicle as I cannot recommend this dealership.
I bought two cards from this dealership from September to November in 2011. I was pressured into purchasing the extended warranty not being explanined by the Finance Managers at the time as a third party warranty and not from Mazda. Mazda in fact does not even offer factory extended warranty nor offers financing. Dealership should have been more up front telling me the facts. I have manageed (after making complaints) to remove one of two extended warranty contrac; playing phone tags with Travis to remove the second one; it’s going to take one hell of a fight I can imagine. Wayne Mazda was okay at first but time proves that this is one of the dealer to stay away from.
totally dishonest
Nope im done with them………..they tried to do the shell game the old switcharo,,,,,,,,,,,,,my god they tried to get me with the final numbers and i did the math and they was trying to MILK me for another 3500.00 i will nevr go there again and ash was stuck on fatting his POCKETS
I was pressured into purchasing an extended warranty from the Finance Manager at the time of purchase of 2012 Mazda5 back in September that was rolled into my loan. I signed the doc to remove it back in November 2nd of last year and waited and waited. Got fed up and filed a complaint on BBB on 1/6.2012. Wayne Mazda replied back saying they sent the check out to my bank on 1/7/2012. Coincidence? Not a chance. They had the money sent back from Mazda a while ago and held onto it until I complained. Don’t trust this dealer with a 10 foor pole!
I was treated very badly by the OWNER, KEVIN DIPIANO of Wayne Mazda. I was not ready to sign on the line right then and there, said “WE ARE DONE HERE!”and he stormed off and threw the chair into the table. I think he saw the perfect target when two women walked in to test drive a car. Don’t go there unless you expect to be treated like trash when they don’t get what they want from you. I cannot believe an owner would set such a terrible example in his dealership. I will be posted my negative experience on every website I can find so nobody else will be belittled and upset as I was. I sent an email to Mazda North America but I highly doubt that will go anywhere or they will do anything. Too bad because I really liked that car but will not buy it on principal now.
PS-I was not treated this way when I was there with my boyfriend! Ladies don’t go there and guys.. would you want your wife, sister, mother to be treated this way??
A Tale of Two Miatas
Wayne Mazda had two 2006 used Maitas on the lot. There was a gray one with approx. 60,000 miles and a blue one with approx. 30,000 miles. The gray one was priced at $15,000 and the blue one was priced at $17,000.
I requested a quote on the blue one and offered $15,000. They instead send me pricing for the gray one at $15,000. I called them up and let them know that it’s not the gray one I am interested in, but the blue one. They e-mailed me a quote of $15,595 on the blue one. I called up and said I will buy the car for $15,000. He said it was a deal, and I had him e-mail me the quote in writing. I confirmed that it was for the blue car and checked to stock numbers to make sure they matched.
I drove 45 minutes to the dealership, confirmed the price with the salesman and then took it for a test drive after thoroughly inspecting it. When I got back at the dealership to work up the papers I asked if they could fix a large scratch on the bumper or take another $100 off. At this point the salesman, who was very nice, went to the manager to talk things over. The salesman came back and said there must be a mistake, this must be the price is for the gray one. I showed him my e-mail, confirmed the stock numbers with him, and then printed it out. He brought it to his manager who came over to me and said that it was a mistake, but they can sell it for $15,995. He said they are losing money even at that price. I then left, angry and disappointed.
Moral of the story… Wayne Mazda is your typical sleazy car dealership when it comes to working the final numbers; its only redeeming quality was the great salesman. Yet car dealers wonder why they get such a bad rap?
we had a great first meeting everyone was really nice. we then spoke on the phone several time and ”thought” we had firmed up our final details as the sales person gave us bottom line numbers including taxes, fees, tags, etc…. we drove a long distance to sign the deal and when we got there he said that was not the case. we walked out and bought from another dealership that did not lie. it was not that the price was so high but the fact that they outright lied to us. shame on you!
Came in for price asked if they could do it and not waste my time, 3 hours later I got my answer – car not sold at price promised
I went to buy a car a leased from them when the lease was up. They charged my $500 MORE than my buy out price PLUS $399 documentation fee, $199 Registration fee and $99 for a credit check ,even though I paid in cash. When I questioned these fees I was given a speach about how the sales team needs to make money. After all that- I paid it all- it took over a MONTH to get the plates and Title. I bought out another car from another dealership that same week (not a Mazda). They charged me only the registration fee- no other fees- and I got the plates and title within 2 weeks. So for all the extra money- you get nothing. Also I leased the car from WAYNE MAZDA 2 years prior and they still charged me all these fees. The registration fee is legit. A SMALL doc fee is legit (should be $99, not $399)- and charging me $500 extra above the contract price for the lease buy out is b****t. Also I kept getting email from someone named ZAC Kawczak saying he is the “internet manager”. When I called a few times, I was told there was no one at the dealership by that name-yet I get emails from the dealer still from ZAC. What a sham- avoid these crooks. They should be locked up.
Do not buy/lease a car from Wayne Mazda. I chose this dealership because it was convenient and the price was low. However, my overall experience with Wayne Mazda was awful. Some of my issues are as follows: 1) negotiating via the internet, yet being introduced to a closer to complete the transaction, 2) having the closer sneakily shut off his computer when he was trying to manipulate the numbers (e.g. monthly payment) when visiting with his manager, 3) being told that the numbers, while higher than what my computer software stated, were accurate, 4) losing the plates to my trade-in and not returning my calls when I wanted an explanation and assistance, and 5) suggesting that they would have the police escort me out of the showroom if I arrived and demanded to see the general manager about this matter. (While I admit I was vocally angry at the time when I was threatened, I did not deserve to be treated the way that I was.) In addition, I was told that the district manager did not respond to the representative at Mazda USA with whom I spoke to about the above matter. I like the car, but hate the overall experience.
My car was in for service on the Saturday before the March 2010 flood. Service could not finish the work and said I could either pick the car up or leave it. I was concerned about the impending rain and local flooding; the service rep said they would leave the car inside since they were also looking at tail light condensation. On the Monday following the flood I was contacted by the service rep and told my car was affected by the flood and that I should contact my insurance. Service did not leave the car indoors, and now my car has been written off by my insurance company. The water was halfway up the doors, and cup holders were full of water. Wayne Mazda has not assumed ANY responsibility for what happened, and has not even tried to help me purchase a replacement vehicle. I am not the only “service” customer who was affected. Their lack of consideration is abysmal. I would never recommend Wayne Mazda for a car purchase or service again. Plain and simple, Wayne Mazda lacks any consideration for their customers based on my experience.
STAY AWAY FROM WAYNE MAZDA. THE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!
The entire staff is horrible! I like my car, but the treatment I recieved after they got paid was terrible. The salesman are uneducated about the product they sell, the salesmen lied, and the managers are unprofessional! I just sent a mass email to everyone in my contact to never purchase a car from that dealership.
This has been the worst costumer service experience I have ever received from a staff. I am not pleased with my experience. I have a pending issue that has not been resolved and I have not heard from a manager regarding this matter. I was told I would be called by the end of their working day at 9pm May 28,2009 from a manager and to date to do have a response.
i was contacted over the phone by a woman named milena. she told me that i was approved and not to worry about credit score or money up front for the taxes, that i could build them into my montly payments. i continually asked if she was sure about this because i didn’t want to waste anyones time – mine and the salespersons. i was continually reassured that basically all i would have to have to drive the car home was the first month’s payment (plus a little more for reg. etc.). i set up the appointment to meet her and the salesperson chris and when i got there i got the runaround. not one, but two different salespeople waiting on me, plus countless paperwork that i already filled out. i never saw milena, or chris, and i was told i HAD to put down at least $3500 on the car to drive it home. i was looking at a mazda 6, but i didn’t even pick out the exact car yet. basically, i will be taking my business elsewhere, and will never recommend this place to anyone looking for a mazda.
I had nothing but the best to say…My sales person, Giancarlo, was so helpful and knowledgable. He made the transaction very easy and came through with everything. I wish every Mazda dealer would be like this! 🙂
On 10/4/08 my father and I went to Wayne Mazda to purchase a car. We put a deposit of $2500 on the car, signed a promissary note to pay the remaining balance on 10/11/08. Upon completing the necessary paperwork, we were told to wait for the car to be detailed. The wait for, “detailing” took over 2 hours. I went to the detailing section and witnessed that the extended wait was due to employees having their own personal vehicles detailed. Furthermore, the dealership failed to provide the mandatory temporary plates for the car, risking my subsequent arrest/fines/revoked license. This fact was not discovered until I attempted to park my car. The garage attendant was the one that brought the lack of proper paperwork to my attention. I was required to park my car for 4 days in the garage, acruing an extra expense of $75.74. On 10/6/08 I called the dealership to have the situation rectified. Initially, I was told by an unprofessional employee that the plates would be sent in the mail for the following day; which I found totally unacceptable. The Sales Rep, Mr. Castro brought a temporary plate to my job in the Bronx. On 10/11/08 we returned to the dealership with the remaining balance of $17,250. A copy of valid insurance coverage was provided as required for Motor Vehicles. The Temp. plates are due to expire on 10/23/08 as of 10/21 I am yet to receive plates and a refund for additional expenses. In addition, rude comments were made by Wayne Mazda’s employees reagrding this consumer’s sexual gender and orientation.
They say they will beat any price by $ 600, but they didn’t. They barely beat the agency around the corner from my house, but it wasn’t worth driving back to buy from them.
They hide things, and if you catch them, they still try to charge you for it. One example is the window etching. It says right on the contract that window etching is optional, but you have no choice, and have to pay the $ 300 anyway. They say the car was etched the minute it landed on their lot, and you have to pay for it.
The minute you agree to a price, your salesman is gone. He is off trying to sell someone else. You never see him again. We had to track down the sales manager 4 times to keep things moving. It took over 3 hours just to do the paperwork after we agreed to a price. This is a small agency, and they treat you very bad. I don’t even want to SEE what the service is like. I will take my car to someone who cares.
I think these practices are taught by Mazda USA. I called to let them know about the agency, and they couldn’t have cared less.
