I took my 04 Camery in for an oil change. After they told me it was ready it took them 40 minutes to finally locate the car. After 40 minutes, the car comes back with the engine splash guard (the protective cover under the engine area) loose; dragging on the floor. The clock and passenger Airbag Indicator in the center of dash were not working either. After pointing these issues out, they said that it was like that when I brought the car in!!! After I told them it was not and they checked the paperwork and saw there was nothing on it about such problems they said that “we don’t inspect cars when they come in to the dealership” What a crock of sh**!!! I asked to speak to the manager and they told me he is not in and finally the “Consumer Relations Manager” came in. He offered to fix the problem if I paid $57 for some clips (Should be 50 cents each!!!!) and he will do me a grand favor and install it for free!!!! So I told him that it was ridicules and I want something in writing that says they did not damage my car and it was in that condition when it came in; off course he refused. After spending 2 hours in the dealership they finally clipped the guard back up and told me to look for a new dealership for service; as if I would EVER go back to this place!!
Oh and I think this is the saddest excuse of all; they said the reason that the clock is not working is probably due to a weak battery!!!! Anybody who knows anything about cars knows that this is bunch of bull!!!! I couldn’t believe they tried to pull such crap and off course the clock and airbag indicator were never fixed….Anyways, I am reporting them to consumer affaires; Toyota Consumer relations department and City of Santa Monica business Commerce….Crooks like them should not be allowed to continue doing business. I hope others will read this review and all the others and stay away from these crooks.
