We went to the dealership looking for a specific car and
year the salesman offered us a good deal on a New Corolla. We did not purchase that car because it was out
of out price range, but did purchase a used car from the dealership. Also only had one key so I called the manager and asked if I could get a second key made they told me to come over and get one made. I recommend Kirk Martells and
Team Toyota.
Stay away from the service department! I ordered 4 tires in May 2012, after I called asking if my tires had arrived, I went to have them installed. I asked that service counter person to make sure they put on the correct tires – she wrote the name of the tire on the work order and said if there was any problem they would come and get me. 1 hour 45 min. later the car was done, paid the bill. Later at home I found out they put on the wrong tires. “Buy 3 tires and get the 4th for a dollar.” Never has a dollar cost me so much! Numerous phone calls, total of 3 trips to the dealership (one to have the correct tires installed), only to walk away very dissatisfied. The company make quality vehicles but buyer beware of the service department!
I saw advertised on this dealer’s web site a new 2011 Yaris hatchback for $13,999. When I then e-mailed the salesteam to see if I could get it even cheaper, a salesperson called me back and quoted me around $15,600 (MRSP was $16,800). I told him the web site said the price was $13,999 so how could he be quoting much higher. He then said, “oh that sale went off yesterday, I guess they haven’t changed the web ad yet.” I then told him I had a better offer from another dealer for about $14,300 so he agreed to honor the advertised price of $13,999 as the vehicle had been sitting on the lot for a long time. He put in writing the out the door price and when i went to purchase it, he again reiterated he would honor the price of $13,999. So, I’m sitting there filling out finance papers and his internet manager approaches me to say, “I’m sorry but we can’t sale that car that cheap; due to hurricane we can’t discount it ANY.” Needless to say, I was furious. How do these crooks stay in business? Not to mention, it broke my daughter’s heart as it was to be her first car. I will never, ever, ever step in that dealership again. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
Ok, there was no sex associated with this sale (:p) and it’s not ENTIRELY fair to characterize Team Toyota professionals as thieves (:devil() – But, the fact of the matter is, I purchased a vehicle in May of 2007. The deal went south and they agreed to refund my money. It’s 2011 and they still have just under half of the money that I paid. They lied about providing me with two sets of keys, the car they sold me wasn’t safe by my standards, much less the perception I got of their standards – since every vehicle sold supposedly passed a 21point safety inspection. I never took full possession because of those issues and eventually asked for a refund. They refused, stating that I purchased the car “As Is”. Not only have they kept thousands of my dollars in their coffers – but I have additional expenses in the thousands – hiring an attorney just to get my money back. Buyers 😎 Beware!!!
Dishonest
On the way to courthouse now to file lawsuit. Finance manager fraudently place a $2000 year service warranty on loan. Returned the next day and insisted that warranty be taken off. Dealership has yet to return money to my financing company that was refunded by the warranty company. Cannot get a return call. Had enough after no resolution for 1 year. Off to the courthouse:mad:
My mom searched many dealers over different regions 7 states to be exact. We live in Tennessee and chose to purchase with Leslie Finklea at Team Toyota in Lithia Springs. Originally, we started to purchase with another dealer in GA however once we arrived they changed the price. Although the price we received from Leslie was not the absolute lowest she was honest and delivered not only a vehicle but a life long client. Her product knowledge was exceptional and I recomend any one purchasing a Toyota contact Litha Spings at 770-941-1200 and ask for Leslie. The correct vehcle and an honest Salesman. 🙂
I was given an excellent Internet price ($21,441) on a new 2009 V6 Rav4 by Cleo. I arrived at the dealership and was assured that the car I wanted could be delivered the next day, so I filled out all of the purchase and finance paperwork. The next day I was informed that the car they had sold me was gone, as the dealership that owned it had also sold it. They said they would do whatever they could to make sure I got a car. For the next four days the only time they communicated with me was when I called and left messages (repeatedly). Each time the comments are the same: “Well, because the end of the month just passed, there just aren’t as many cars on the lots anymore. We really have to search to find the car you want.” (Except most Toyota dealerships allow you to search the inventory in your region, and the Southeast Region has consistently shown 35-45 new 2009 V6 Rav4s available with exactly the same options as the one I originally “bought”. In fact, several of them are less than 50 miles away. In addition, I checked the status of the car with the Vehicle Identification Number that was on my paperwork, and could see that it had, in fact, disappeared from the inventory. I fail to understand why *I* can find appropriate cars left and right, and yet they seem to be having lots of trouble doing so.) At one point the sales manager, Lewis, said that he might be able to offer me a 2008 V6 Rav4 Sport instead, because it had been sitting on their lot for 300+ days. He promised to let me know about it the next morning. Of course, the next morning comes, and there is no information at all on this car. I have gotten no further information from them, the end of the month has passed, all of the incentives on the car are gone, and now I have to start my car search over from scratch.
My wife is 39 weeks pregnant, and I wanted to buy a new car before she goes into labor, as my car is not suitable for children, as it is 18 years old, and lacks many of the safety features common on newer cars. (I actually had a discussion about *this very topic* while I was in the dealership with Leslie, as my wife is obviously pregnant, and was with me at the dealership. In fact, they made quite a big deal about the safety features of the car for children.) I’m ready, willing, and able to buy a new car, yet this dealer has fumbled every opportunity to actually sell me a car.
To be fair, I finally got to speak with the sales manager, Tucker. (I
was mistaken; Lewis was evidently the inventory manager.) He explained
that with low volume (40 cars divided over 5 states) most dealers were
holding on to their stock, and so it was hard to get the cars in stock.
I asked about the 2008 Sport model; they finally got around to offering
it to me for $4,000 more than the previous price we agreed upon. I
decided to pass on that offer, and I was told that I would get a call
before noon the next day (today). I hadn’t received a call at noon, and
my wife was showing signs of early/pre-labor, so I drove back to the
dealership and requested a letter stating that I didn’t owe anything,
and that the car that matched the VIN on my paperwork had been sold to
someone else (which I got).
