THIS DEALERSHIP SOLD US A BAD VEHICLE UNDER 20K MILES AND WE HAVE USED MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO GET REPARED WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND THE SITUATION IS ONLY WORSE. THE DEALERSHIP FEEL THEY HAVE DONE ALL THEY CAN TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. VERY FRIENDLY ON THE PHONE BUT I NEED RESULTS AND A RELIABLE VEHICLE FOR WORK AND FAMILY. JUST NOT DELIVERING. OUR ALMOST NEW VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIRS AT LEAST HALF A DOZEN TIMES IN UNDER 6 MONTHS! IM VERY FRUSTRATED THAT THEY WOULD STIFF US WITH A BAD TRUCK!
I had bought a 2003 Dodge ram 1500 4×4 in September 2008 for more than $12,000 this May of 2009. The truck wouldn’t start. I took it back to the dealership, and was told the repairs werent covered in the certified waranty. The employees there were rude, and vague as to what my waranty covered, how long I would be waiting, and did not attempt to even look at my truck. They kept me waiting 8 hours. They were dodging my questons.(no pun intended)My truck has been at the dealership since May 26. It is now Wednesday, June 3. I am getting very upset and I am considering taking legal action. I would strongly discourage ANYONE from doing business with Tate Dodge. I have read several other reviews on this particular location, and have found most of the reviews are repetitive to my complaints.
As is usually the case there is always 2 sides to every story. With relation to the above mentioned customer visit there was several extenuating circumstances.
The vehicle was purchased as a used vehicle and the failure was a non-covered component under the certified powertrain warranty.
The failure was electrical in nature and was very difficult to reproduce and when it did happen it was in an electrical connection under the dash that does not normally see a failure. We were able to finally locate the failure but with the weekend and the difficulty in finding this problem it ran longer than we expected it too.
The person writing this review is over dramitizing this situation because of the lack of warranty coverage on this item.
It is unfortunate that some people choose to vent there frustrations in this way.
We feel as though this situation was handled correctley and efficientley. We regret any inconvenience this caused the individual who wrote this message and we endeavor to repair all vehicles as quickly as possible.
Thankyou Tate management
IT IS IRONIC THAT THE WORD CORRECTLY BY THE TATE BRANCH MANAGEMENT IS SPELLED IN-CORRECTLY. I TOO HAD A BAD PURCHASING EXPERINCE WITH TATE BRANCH IN ARTESIA SO IM INCLINED TO BELIEVE THE CONSUMER. THIS DEALERSHIP IS BAD FOR THIS TOWN.
