😡 after an 8 hour wait at suncoast, we drove off in a 2005 colbalt happy as could be. 9 days later they called and told us that we needed to bring it back because we were not approved? Issue 1 Faulty information. we return the vehicle and get our trade in back. Later that day we called and mentioned that the down payment was not returned. After 30 minutes on the phone trying to get response they told us to come get the check. we get there and the man that said the check was there over the phone had the day off, but we could see him hiding behind the desk. Issue 2 Shady information and lies lies lies. we had an experienced member of the family go to talk to them about the money and tell them the check needed to be here tomorrow or we would contact our lawyer if they wanted to play games and one of the “bigger” sales associates put his hands on him and pushed him out the door. The cops later came but now we know how they make their money. Issue 3 assault and criminal content.
They advetise that they will approve anyone “REGARDLESS” of credit, they go as far as to advertise they were “Waiving” all credit checks, yet first thing in the door they are asking for a form to be filled out to get a Credit Score on you (You advertise one thing and do something else), what other lies are in store for me.
Upon pointing this out, F Santiago points out quickly that all there dvertising is checked by their legal team to make sure they are NOT crossing over the line. HEY, Be legit and Honest from the start and why keep a legal team, those that have to have things checked by a legal team to make sure they are not stepping over the line are misleading the consumers.
My suggestion, keep on driving and locate another dealership;)
Made two visits (dumb me) – both a real waste of time. They advertised take over payments for a 2008 Ford Escape at $179 a month. Yes, they have the car but they didn’t tell you the payment is AFTER you put $5,000 down. They use all the tired games, “fighting for you”, “good cop – bad cop”, and they don’t listen. When it was obvious I wasn’t going to buy, they became insulting – “are you going to let this great deal go because it isn’t the price you want to pay?” “I spent all this time and you are not buying”. Promised me a minimum tradein for my car and then no one could remember that or find it in the computer (Iinsisted they do that). No wonder car salesmen are at the bottom of the trust list.
