Beware of Stone Mountain Toyota!!! They use high pressure sales tactics and will say or do anything to get a vehicle off their lot. I traded in a 2005 Altima and they wrote up a contract without even seeing the vehicle. Ultimately, I’m stuck with a lemon (2009 Camry SE) which has been serviced twice already in one week. I spoke with the Sales Manger 3 days after my purchase to let him know I was unhappy with the vehicle and he basically told me “so what”!!! I was supposed to have leather installed and I promised a call by the end of the week. Needless to say, no call. I’m very leary that I may never get my leather because it is not written anywhere in the contract. They told me one price but wrote up the contract for another. The sales manager told me that the security feature was already built into the price of the loan…but after looking at the contract it is added as a seperate line item. BUYERS BEWARE ESPECIALLY OF THE SALES/FINANCE MANAGER!!!!!!!!
Stone Mountain Toyota is unprofessional and sales-centered. The salesman insisted on convincing me to spend outside of my budget–literally more money than I had available–yet was desperate to make a sale. After walking away without making a purchase, the salesman and sales manager followed up via error-ridden e-mails using poor grammar and unprofessional language. Everything during and after my visit to this dealership has been a turnoff from the car buying experience. Even after calling the dealership to ensure receipt of my reply e-mails, the operator was offended I suggest they include a return e-mail address or notify recipients not to send a response to the sender’s address (their server is incapable of receiving them). I highly recommend visiting another Toyota dealership in Atlanta.
We come from a long line of dependable Toyota vehicles and we’d definitely recommend buying a Toyota vehicle but DO NOT BUY FROM THE STONE MOUNTAIN TOYOTA DEALERSHIP!
Our Tundra was totalled in an accident and we wanted to replace it. We paid the extra premium for a Toyota Certified Vehicle from Stone Mountain Toyota and it turned out to be a most frustrating and disappointing experience, with no consideration for our valuable time to have the vehicle brought up to the standard we thought we were purchasing at the onset.
Even though this preowned, low-mileage, 2006 Toyota Tundra truck was “Toyota Certified”, it came with many deficiencies and problems from a flat tire (the day after purchase) to having the wrong size lug nuts on all wheels, to having to have the driver’s seat belt retractor replaced, to having a windshield stone chip repaired (hidden by oil change sticker at time of purchase), to learning that the box was so beat up that a cheap liner was installed to cover up the damage. We found out that the tire tread on all 4 tires is the barest minimum for legal sale and now we need to replace them at an additional cost of almost $1,000. A cheap no-brand battery was put in the truck and it’s having a hard time since the cold weather came, so this also needs replacement. Even the windshield wipers need to be replaced.
We understand that this 2006 Tundra was a preowned truck and we weren’t expecting perfect but if you read the terms & conditions of what you get with a Toyota Certified Vehicle, Stone Mountain Toyota took advantage of us, taking many liberties and cost-cutting measures to ready the vehicle for market. Of course all of the problems could have been resolved at the onset but all they did was argue about ‘who’ and ‘what’ department was going to pay for the repairs and fixes, with no regard for our valuable time driving back and forth to the dealership and wasting hours in service waiting rooms. It quickly became the story of a small, annoying pebble stuck in your shoe. After most repairs were made, in the end we were told by Stone Mountain Toyota that they would arrange for the exterior paint finish to be repaired but they were not going to guarantee the outcome or the job itself. A little consideration and any customer service would have gone a long way.
The main reason I’m writing this review is because I just saw an advertisement for Stone Mountain Toyota on television, boasting it’s great customer service. Nothing could be further from the truth and if you’re living in the Atlanta area, there are many other good Toyota dealerships that could deservedly benefit from your business.
BUYER’S BEWARE…STAY AWAY FROM THE STONE MOUNTAIN TOYOTA DEALERSHIP!
