I HAVE BOUGHT MANY VEHICLES IN MY TIME AND NEVER HAVE I BEEN TREATED IN SUCH A WONDERFUL WAY. THE EXPERINCE WAS A PLEASURE AND SADLY TO SAY THE DEALER IS CLOSING . I AM SURE TJ AND HIS STAFF WILL RELOCATE TO A NEW DEALER AND CONTINUE THEIR SUCCESS. THANK YOU ALL AT SATURN OF SOUTHGATE WE WILL MISS YOU
:mad:Where do I start. I called the Saturn dealer because I saw a car I liked listen on craigslist. I was told it was sold but they had just gotten a new one in that day that I could come take a look at. I was told the price was $17,800. I went and drove it and liked it. Then the new price was $19,000. Since they put new tires on the truck and also charge me for a safety inspection. Hmm this should have been my first warning but I loved the truck. TJ told me that they still have to detail it because it just came in that day and they hadn’t done anything with it yet. He said they are gonna safety inspect it, detail it, get two stains out, and an oil change. He said that I am covered for another 36,000 miles factory warranty. Came back the next day with the deposit to buy it. The stains were out, TJ said that they needed to reset the oil change light because their mechanic forgot to reset it when they did the oil change. While doing the paperwork I was shocked to find out that I am buying a $2500 warranty!!! TJ had never mentioned it and informed me it was part of the price already, until it got down to the paperwork. Next day the truck is extremely loud. I took it to the Chrysler Jeep in Taylor on Telegraph rd. The truck needed an oil change and was 2 quarts low on oil. That could have ruined my engine!!! I was furious. The truck is still acting a bit weird, and my boyfriend got fed up with TJ and his attitude and almost beat him up. TJ was very unprofessional and he was rude and threatened to call the cops. He is not a person to trust, especially not one to buy a car from. Nothing against the dealership, but everything against TJ! DOOO NOT go to him to buy a car. They lied over and over, and when I came back to talk to them they said there’s nothing wrong with the truck they drove it for a week when it got there! HAH TJ told me it just came in the day I came to drive it. They will lie to you about everything! Don’t buy a car here, they’re closing anyways.
The used car area has a well reherarsed scheme to get as much money out of you as is possible. The buyer does not get any choice at all in in the sales process. Once you decide to buy a car the the paperwork is done inside and the person doing the typing is told what to type, what to add
If you happen to agree to buy a $10,000.00 car by the time they are thru typing the price is well over $16.000.00.
You are presented with the paperwork and told where to sign, where to initial and if you ask what is this charge you are told,”I don’t know. They give me the paperwork and I have you sign it” You do not get a chance to read the small print and they will not permit you to change your mind. They will do what they want and and take as long as they want.
If you’ve waited 5 or 6 hours and finally get really frustrated and ask for your paperwork back so you can go home they will not give you your paperwork
they will hold you against your will till closing time then they hussle you thru and send you home without any copy of the paperwork you signed or any proof that you purchased the car you are driving.
The general manager does not seem to care aboutt this, when called he turned me over to the used car manager who caused all this trouble in the first place.
