Originally I took my car in for repairs” I also wanted to purchase a new car. The service department was terrible and took advantage of my lack of understanding. They were rude and one person actually called me a dumb b**** when he had not replaced the phone properly.
I had the repairs done at a highly inflated price. However they lost a customer. I went to State Park motors and received much better service.
I went to get a fan belt tightened on my car because of a squeeling noise. I was told they replaced 2 belts. Cost was about $280! ! ! ! ! Within 1/2 hour after getting home it squealed again. I then just took it to another repair facility. They told me and showed me that the nut that was needed to take the one belt off, was so tight they had trouble removing it. Upon getting it lose, they said one belt was not changed. I was told auto tecks get paid by the job. For changing 2 fan belts they may get $18 by the dealership. IF they brake a bolt, that may take 5 hours to repair during this job, they do not get compensated for it, so the repairman probably was scared of breaking the bolt, so he lied about changing the fanbelt. I also took the fanbelt to an auto parts store, they said it was an old belt also, that it was never changed. I contacted Team / Biggio, I even contacted the BBB and Toyota, none of them would do anything. I suggest you contact the Attorney General in Ohio if you have been ripped off by this company. I won’t ever buy a car, or anything from this company. When I went to purchase a car, they would not even give me the time of day once they found out I was a price shopper. There is a ford dealership in wellsburg / follansbee, and a toyota dealership in wheeling WV. Go there, not here.
I have used this service department in the past without issues. I recently had a timing belt changed as well as a mass airflow sensor and when the car was returned the air conditioning suddenly did not work ( very cold prior). I called the service department and told them about the issue and they said that bring it in and they would take a look, I also told them that I neede the stabilizer links replaced and asked if the parts would be there when I bring it in since I live 45 min from the garage. A few days later I dropped of my car as was planned and they called to tell me that they had nothing to do with the reason why the air conditioning did not work but could test it for a leak and charge it. They also told me that the links were not in stock and they would have to order them. They stated that I could leave my car there until it could be fixed. I told John that I did not have and extra car available and I would have to discuss the issue with my family to decide how I could handle the situation. While waiting to hear back from my family John called back and stated that he located the parts in Cinncy and that if he ordered them in 15 min then they would be there by Saturday( the following day) and the mechanic would come in on Saturday to finish the job. Well, I did not receive a phone call on Saturday morning so I called around 1:30 to see about the progress and was told the service department left at 1:00. I am without a car come Monday morning. They are incompetent and not worthy of anyones hard earned money!
