I meant to give all 5’s – not sure why it was showing 3 stars…
This was the most pleasant buying experience I’ve ever been a part of. I went into this process completely on the defensive. I wanted to have as little human interaction as possible because I have experienced some classic stereotypical car buying stories in the past. I used Edmunds.com to do all my research and once I hit the “send” button to distribute my contact info to all the local dealers, notifying them that I am interested in buying a car “within a month”, my phone literally started ringing less than 2 minutes later. Taylor’s (from Huffines) response kind of stood out from the rest. A casual email, letting me know he’s there if I need him. I visited a couple other dealerships before Huffines, but I was in the area one weekend and decided to stop by. Taylor took me for a test drive and it was the best of the 3 test drives I had been on. I really enjoyed Taylor’s laid back attitude and knowledge of the vehicle. I was wearing a Mustang t-shirt that day, and he joked that he would have to get me the correct t-shirt if I buy the Camaro, and he lived up to his promise – he ordered me a t-shirt after I bought the car. That small gesture is huge in my book. He didn’t have to do that, but it made probably the biggest impact on me choosing Huffines over anyone else. I felt comfortable with Taylor – he wasn’t hard selling me. He just told me he’d be there whenever I was ready. I guarantee you I would have gone somewhere else had it not been for Taylor’s outstanding customer service.
Not to be outdone, I was dreading my time with “the finance guy” even more than a car salesman. I was ready to fend off all the spells he would cast on me spending more money on things I don’t need. But honestly, I had an even better time with Jay than I did on the test drive. He is amazing at his job. He explained everything so well, in terms I could comprehend. I never understood what a bumper-to-bumper warranty really covered, and Jay made it all make sense in less than 30 seconds. Amazing. But the most significant thing he did for me, that I appreciate more than I can put into words, is he went out of his way to try and find me a better percentage rate, and he did – a huge 1% savings. I am in awe of his kindness and professionalism. Best. Car. Buying. Experience. Ever. Jay and Taylor are superstars.
