The salesman (captain Morgan) lied as much as was needed to get the car sold. He did a great job of it. He was friendly and very nice. In other words, a typical salesman.
I couldn’t get them to budge much on a price. They were telling me how it had passed all their rigid inspections and how nothing was wrong with it. They also told me they already had a sale on and the price was not really negotiable.
I ended up getting it for $20,100 (about $700 off the tag). We noticed when we got it home that the whole drivers side protective wheel cover was GONE. The passenger side was half gone. When we went back in to complain we got the expected “You already bought it too bad” speech. Yesterday we noticed that the whole undercarriage protective cover is gone. This is exposing the oil filter, belts, wires, all the engine components. This is extremely dangerous. One of the belts already has a chip out of it from what appears to be a rock that got lodged in there. Again, the dealership doesn’t care. It is going to cost us close to $2,000 to get all this stuff replaced. Not what I was expecting after I purchase a 2 year old car for $20,100.
I can already hear the salesman telling the original owner this car is in too bad of a shape for us to give you much. They made a KILLING off of the original owner and myself. I will never be back to this rip off dealership.
Like a lot of people I feel going shoping for a car is like going in for a root canal. I had a different experience with QM. Three visits there to finalize my purchase and drive off in a new Outlander SE. Steve and Don who I worked with the most, well everyone I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Professional if you will. Steve bent over backyards to put together a deal that was fair to both parties. Did I get everything I wanted? No. There was give and take on both sides and a relationship waas established so that I actually can now look forward to going back to Quality Mitsubshi to have my new car serviced.
Think twice before you use these clowns for service on your Mitsubishi. I had a vehicle in for service and had $2300.00 worth of work done by Quality primarily on the engine. Less than a month later the engine in the vehicle has been destroyed by a part of a valve lifter which has fallen off and is now lodged in the engine after they worked on that region of the engine. I ended up in court over the matter with the owner Larry Workman. They denied all responsibility and tried to counter-sue me for $3440.00. This amount was for their time away from the shop and included charges for gas mileage.
An interesting point is that their mechanic is paid a whopping $17.31 per hour to work on your vehicle while the dealer bills the time to you at $110.00 per hour. Another point to consider is that there is no mention of any warranty on their work. In fact, there is a disclaimer of warranties right on their invoice. Another Mitsubishi dealer in the same area, Mile High, has their warranty clearly stated right on the invoice. The final point to consider is that if you go through all of this trouble and do obtain a settlement, you may be given a bad check from Mr. Workman like I was.
I would strongly recommend finding a different place for service.
