This place is pretty horrible!
My problems here surfaced when I first went to purchase a vehicle in 2012. I was given an “out the door price” that I was told was the complete price inclusive of everything – tax, DMV charges etc. To my surprise, when I went in to purchase the vehicle the next day I was told there was a misunderstanding or miscommunication somewhere. Additional charges were being assessed. I advised the manager and rep that I was given a price that was inclusive of everything and now that was changing. I told the manager I would take my business elsewhere not because of the few hundred dollar difference but because of the broken commitment…I did!
I purchase my vehicle at another Toyota dealership within a day or two. Now, I have had 5 service encounters with Toyota as regards the Toyota Care package. After a gut feeling after the second service or so I began to number my tires and note things on the vehicle to see what was actually being done relative to what was supposed to be done.
On my fifth service I decided to go to Penn Toyota for convenience as it is the closest location to my house. This was the ONLY service I had done out of the 5 at this location and I proceeded with numbering my tires. After waiting about 40 or so minutes approximately I was given my vehicle back with documentation showing that the tires had been rotated and a whole host of other things done.
Now, that was CLEARLY NOT the case. My tires were not rotated. My liquids were NOT topped off. Inconsistencies in my tire tread with earlier services were clear and my gut said that a whole lot more was NOT done that was checked as having been done. This dealership is definitely NOT a dealership I will go back to and I would suggest you follow suit!
In addition, I called up Toyota Care’s national number to complain about what I experienced and was essentially told that there is little recourse for anything as the issues are addressed through the that specific dealership. This made no sense to me and I thought it best to put this review up and look-up additional options – looking into a BBB filing and other things. I would STRONGLY recommend others follow suit with their complaints and check-up to insure they are not being defrauded as well!
