Stay away from the service department! If you have a Nissan, take it elsewhere for service or repair. My bad experience began when the service guy named “Robert” or “Robbie” actually lectured me when I didn’t park close enough to the shop. I was parked about 30 yards from it so go figure. I live in Conroe Texas and I normally take my vehicle to the Nissan dealership there for oil changes and such and their facility is top notch, but I was visiting my grandmother in Longview. Coming to the Longview location was a stark difference and I am surprised that as long as this dealership has been in Longview that they have not invested more in the service facility. It is quit inadequate. I took my Titan there for an oil change and a diagnostic on a tire light that was on. I already knew a sensor may have been bad but was hoping not and it needed to be reset. After being lectured where I parked, I told Robbie this info and he said it may be about an hour because of people in front of me. Keep in mind I was there at 8 am on a Saturday with no one hardly there yet, but I am patient. It took well over an hour and when I asked him about the light he says that one of the sensors could be bad, he didn’t know which one and that any Nissan dealership could take the tires off and check. Did he forget I asked him to do that and forget they are a Nissan dealership? Did he even attempt to reset it? I don’t know. I was like “Okay…”. He then says in a mildly condescending way that they are upwards of $200 each as if I didn’t have any money. I didn’t even bother to tell him I am under warranty ( I thought Nissan dealerships could notice this) but I had cash too. I just glared at him wondering. He then actually decided to patronize me and said I could put some black tape over the light so I couldn’t see it! I was appalled and instead of reading him the riot act, I said to him kindly I would have my people back home look at it. I think he did me a favor because I probably would have regretted any repair I let them do, but his attitude about it was unprofessional in the upmost way. I don’t know if it was because I am a woman or I am black, but this is not how you treat customers. Thank God I don’t live in this town anymore.
