We bought a brand new Ford Fiesta SE here this week and we love the car itself, but Carlos the sales guy lost my wife’s driver’s license and never found it. The 2 months of no payments they promised is only 6 weeks plus a 10 day “grace period”. The service department damaged the car while making us a key. Return business is not what they strive for evidently, they have terrible customer service, can’t even get them to tell us who our lien holder is so we can get insurance, and have wasted many hours of our time just trying to sort this mess out. I can’t ever see myself buying from O’Meara’s again.
I bought my car here recently, I went through hoops for this car and was continually pushed around. I was told they could not work in my price range only to be called back the next day stating they could get me into another car same year and make with less miles for the price I wanted. I bought it and a week later I was called back to be told my intrest rate was increasing almost 3% which changed my payment and they wanted 500 dollars down. By that time I had had the windows tinted and spent money on accesories for the car, I felt stuck, so I folded and bought the car with a post dated check that they were supposed to hold for a week and a half. 2 days later they put my check in causing me to bounce other checks. To top it off they put the same check same check number through on the agreed date again, caused more bounced checks…. I am still waiting for this mess to be straightned out. I will NEVER buy another car from these people. Who changes a deal 3x’s a week later and cashes checks they were supposed to hold. These people are crooks and I hope they all get their own karma coming to them! BUYER BEWARE
I went into O’meara just to check out the new Boss Mustang. While I was there, I overheard what I learned was the general manager being totally rude to some customers and to the salesman helping them. All I can say is that if he is the general manager, I would hate to think I would get treatedby anyone lese there! I left and have no desire to ever set foot in there again!
This was the most high pressure sales staff I have ever dealt with. We just wanted to look at cars in there lot to see what was available in our price range. We were first taken into there waiting area to meet with the finance dept. Told them we were just looking. 3 hours later we had to demand to leave. They held our credit card and had two other people come out and ask what they could do to get us to buy a car right then and there. We told them over and over that we wanted to leave. My young child was asleep in my arms, and they still pressured us to stay and buy a car. I would not recommend O’mera to my enemies. Horible experience and we will never step foot on there lot again.
I never thought that they would treat me as a criminal. I went 8 days ago to try to purchase a viechle a Nitro and as I thought everything was going well with what they where offering me…. I recieved a phone call saying that I needed to come in the office to sign some paper work that they forgot to give me 8 DAYS ago. I thought everything was ok and decided to go in. Once I got in there they started to Bullshit about the bank calling in saying that the payments where going to go up becuase of my credit score and started to harras my husband and me saying that if I didnt sign the paper work that I had to leave the nitro there. That I didnt have an option other to just sign the papers . I told them that I had to call my attorney and they said VERY VERY rude that I can call all the attorneys I wanted but that I was still going to have to sign the papers. I told my husband that it was best to just pay for the mileage and the 50 dollars per day . So we didnt have to deal with them anymore. I think this is all a RIPOFF ….they even parked another veichle behind the nitro like if I was going to run off with it . They are very rude and I am going to make sure not to recommend this place. I think that every person that got ripped off we should all gather toghter and make sure that they close this place down. So they dont take money from anyone else. >:( JUST DONT PURCHASE A VEICHILE THERE PERIOD ..
Worst expierience ever with a dealership that claims to be number 1 in service . what a joke
Omeara Ford has stepped up and is handling this situation
I first went to O’Meara looking at a Roush 428R Mustang. The price was higher than I had been seeing in my online searches but the dealership was local. I went in and was nicely greeted. I looked at the Mustang and drove it. It was a really nice, brand new Mustang. I sat down and worked out a deal. As it was getting late, I was told to come in the next day and the deal would be done.Everything had been agreed upon and I signed the worksheet as did the salesman. The next day I was told my salesman wasn’t in that day and they couldn’t find my deal. I saw my salesman walking just outside the building and pointed that out. The manager went to ask him about it and I was told the salesman was just trying to get me to say yes to something. There really was no deal at all.
I left O’Meara Ford and went to Go Ford West (no longer there) and made a great deal on a brand new (in 2009) Shelby GT500.
I took that car to O’Meara for a check on a clutch recall and got the car back with black rubber dust all over the rear quarter panels that usually comes from doing burnouts. The car had an additional 50 miles on it. I was furious as my Shelby had 3,000 miles on it at the time.
I traded the car in at another Ford dealership in Broomfield where I was treated fairly and nicely. Sorry O’Meara but two times is two too many.
i went to get a truck from omeara ,and was told the trade and deal was done ,gave them 1000.00 bucks on the spot with 750.00 to follow .walked out door being told by cory one of the finace mgrs that the deal was done ,another finace officer which name i did not get he said finace was no problem he got 5 responses on my app .so i left with trk ,and left my trade there .now 10 days later i get a call from ford motor credit ,sayin my truck that i traded .the payment is late .so im wondering why omeara ford has;nt paid it off .so i call the sales guy i had named mike john ,he says there having trouble with bank aproval ,im thinkin this is a real fix ,so to make a long story short i had to return the said truck i thought i had bought ,and then to make matters worse ,Cory the finace mgr ,says there goin to charge me for the time i had the truck ,even though they did,nt call me to tell me that they were having finace issues .so bewhere if they say the deal is done and take your money ,thats just a racket ,so they can make xtra money without makin the deal ,there ripoffs in my opinion ,
They contacted me when I appiled online for financing. I made a appointment to come in and they told me I qualified for a low interstrest rate and very little down payment for what wanted to pay. When we go there they pulled every single dealership bs trick. I was deperate to buy a car as we were carless at the time. Flat out lied about my % rate, down payment. They showed me cars I didnt want and after I finally found a car I liked and would work for us they started the wear down process. The whole process took like 5 to 6 hours and it was game, after game after game. “let me talk to my manager” “we would need another 1000.00 down to get that payment “. I finally bought the car and then they sent me over to the finacde department, where I waited another hour because they had one person working. The guy came out to get some paperwork and I asked how long do you think this will take? and he was flat out rude to me. So after the wait, I end up in the room with this guy and hes all smiles and tries to sell me extended warranty. I explained that I bought a Kia which has a better warranty than what you are trying to get me to buy. At which point he turns back into his a hole self . Two days later the internet guy who lied to me orginally calls and said I need you to come in a sign some paperwork again. I agreed to go there during my lunch because this will only take a few minutes . I get there and they keep me waiting and this ahole comes out and says they need another 500.00 to close the loan. I told him to f off went back signed my paperwork and left. I would never reccomend this bunch of used car salesmen to anyone. They made this purchase absolutley the worst dealership experience of my life. Say away go anywhere else but Omera! BWT I actually love the car lol
had work done and had to return 4 diffarent times and they still havent got it right. now they want to say its not related..they are scammers, and for saying they serve the community i have lived in the neighborhood since i was a kid and they do not, they are a horrible dealership and to treat a honorable discharged iraq veteran like this and keep my mustang for a month shows how america is turning for the worse not to mention their high quality products…what a joke i d rather have a toyota that at least gos…even if its into a wall!
do your job right the first time.
Me and my husband went into ford to buy Me a new SUV and him a new Truck. Cory was the first and only sales person to come up and greet us. He was wonderful he realized we had two kids with us so he located the vehicles we wanted and took down our information and since it was so late at night he told us to take the kids home and he would call us in the morning. We did the majority of everything over the phone so we would not have to drag our kids in there and sit and wait. When we got everything done that we could do over the phone then we went into the dealership to sign the paperwork and then we drove the vehicles home. He was even willing to drive the paperwork to my job so I would not have to leave work but instead they stuck around at the dealership so I could come in and fill it all out. Then Cory took the time to help me figure out all the gadgets on my new car and helped sync my phone to the new car. Anytime we have a question he would call us back with in minutes of our call and if he did not know the answer he found it for us. I would really recommend asking for Cory if you are thinking about buying a car from o’meara ford.
On 7/31/10, my family & I went to O’Meara Ford. I had originally set up an appointment in the internet department, but that person had to leave on an emergency. We found this out 15 minutes after we sat down in the showroom & Ken Ferguson came up to us, introduced himself & said he would be assisting us today. We told Ken what we were looking for, a minivan or large SUV to fit a family of 5. Ken was very snooty, condescending & rude through the whole process. Ken showed us a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. We looked through out the vehicle, loved it & went for a test drive. Right before we test drove it, we asked for a car fax when we returned from the test drive. My husband & I fell in love with the van & decided to purchase. As we got back to the showroom, we reminded Ken that we wanted a car fax again. After asking 7 more times during the process, we finally got one. We told Ken what payment we could afford, what we could put down in cash & that we were trading in my 98 Dodge Caravan. 30 minutes later, Ken came back & stated that we could not be financed because it was 8:30pm & all the banks were closed. We got the family packed up & were ready to leave when Ken & his sales manager Freddie returned asking us where we were going & that they got us approved & we could go home with the Town & Country. That next Friday, we got a phone call from O’Meara to call them back. When I finally got a hold of someone, it was stated that the financing had changed & we had to go back in to resign the paperwork. Little did we know that when we got back to O’Meara, that we would have to return the 08 Chrysler. They informed us that the financing had gone through. We asked to get our 98 Dodge back, to which the 2nd chance financing manager, Brian John, stated that we would have to pay around 3000 dollars to get the 98 Dodge back & it was even hinted that the car was not available to us right away, but that we would have to wait a week to get it back. They informed us they did get approval for a 05 Dodge Caravan SXT. This van had massive crack in the windshield, the engine had been completely redone, the tires are at about 40% tread life remaining & the power window on the driver side struggled to go up & down. We were informed we would have to take the 05 Dodge as is, with no new tires, no new windshield, & no mention of fixing the power window. We knew we had no choice but to take the 05 Dodge. We took it home & noticed the next morning that the car was completely dirty & had not been detailed. I called Brian John & he agreed to have the car detailed the next time we were in the dealership. On 8/27/10, my power window stopped working. I called Brian John as well as the service department to get this fixed. When I showed up at my appointment the next morning, no one had a clue who I was, sent me home, & never called me back after leaving several messages.
They seem to be using the situation to maximize their profits, apparently to get me to buy a new vehicle instead. At this point I do not trust the need for the repair, the quoted cost of the repair, nor the facility in general.
Buyer Beware! I have purchased several cars over the years and have to say that this was some of the worst bait and switch tactics that I’ve ever seen. My wife and I went in to look for a 15 – 18,000 dollar car and wanted our payments to be under $400. We test drove a couple cars in our price range. Not bad rides, but we wanted to look around a bit more. Then Cory (sales guy) proposed that we test drive a car that seemed out of our price range, though, when I asked him, he said it would be about 17 – $18,000. When we sat down to talk numbers, we still didn’t get a good idea of what they actually wanted for this car…only that our payments would be ~$390 for 72 months. Ok, fine…we moved forward and found out that the car was actually $21,000 NOT $18,000. Not happy, but the payment and term were about what we wanted. NEXT…after sitting for about an hour, Cory came back and said we would have to agree to $400 to $410/ month to get this deal. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED, “WILL THIS BE THE TOTAL PAYMENT?” Cory said “yes.” Great, shake hand and move on. After over an hour, we finally sit down with the finance guy (at 10:45PM). We sign several forms regarding our trade in and come to the actual contract…Payment of $436 for 75 months!! Passed 11:00 now, 6 hours at the dealership everything moved out of our old car and into the new one. Pissed off and feeling duped, I signed the contract and am here to warn all of you to stay away from this place!!!
I am writing to rescind my comment from Sunday about O’meara Ford. I didn’t pay close enough attention to the contract and the terms. I let my aggravation about this get the best of me and let it out in my review. I definitely misunderstood some parts of the contract and negotiations and should have clarified those issues before signing anything. Lesson learned…the hard way.
I also apologize to the staff and management of O’meara for any problems this might have caused. They did nothing wrong and are completely in their rights to uphold the contract.

To update my situation with O’meara Ford. When I went back to the dealership, it was made VERY clear to me that management was upset that I posted a complaint on this site. Understandable. I was told that they didn’t want to work with me on the contract issues due to this complaint. I said I would retract my statement if they would consider working with me to fix the contract. As you can see, I did retract my statement…but they still haven’t worked with me. The contract was explained incorrectly by not one, but two different people. It took running this up the chain to a higher finance manager to get the truth. If you choose to buy from this dealership, bring a calculator and run through the contract line by line. Ask lots of questions and don’t assume, like I did, that they are being straight with you. Have them give you a written statement of what you will get for your trade, exactly what you will get before going to the finance department. They make you initial by the negotiated numbers on the deal sheet…ask them to do the same. Most importantly ASK FOR A COPY OF THE FOUR SQUARE DEAL SHEET!!! If you don’t, you will never see it again. My deal sheet made it clear that we did not get the deal that was negotiated, but when I requested to see the sheet, I was told it would not be made available. Now why would that be?
I have run this up the chain as far as I could. The folks at the top have not returned calls, so now the issue is with the BBB. By the way, they have not responded to the BBB yet either. When we pass the deadline to respond (June 30) I’ll post my full complaint here.
Obviously there are some good folks there, but be very careful who you deal with and don’t assume anything.
Absolutely would not reccomend this dealership to anyone. The whole experience was horrible and when I talked to the sales manager about it he told me that because I wouldn’t purchase from them again he couldn’t help me and hung up on me. If I could return the vehicle and go somewhere else I would in a heartbeat.
My partner and I purchased our first car from O’ Meara Ford yesterday and this has been by far one of the most disappointing experiences of our lives. This is not an exaggeration. The car they sold us, which they promised us had undergone a safety check, has an exhaust leak that is not only expensive to fix but extremely dangerous. This is just one of the many problems with the car that they flat out refused to fix or do anything about. We were also told the car was under warranty when it was not. While they admitted that they lied about the warranty, they flat out refused to do anything about it. The sales manager was very rude, treated us like we were lucky just to have gotten a car from them and nearly ran over our 1 year old son with his golf cart in the parking lot. We are very disappointed to have dealt with these people at all and our only hope is that someone else doesn’t fall for their tricks. I urge you to look elsewhere when buying a car.
Bunch of FRAUDS
Was new in town, and brought in my 2000 Ford Explorer for an oil change. When they quoted me 45 min, they called us back over to service 1 1/2 hrs later. They then suggested over $870 worth of “necessary” repairs to the vehicle. They showed us (my roommate and myself) a small plastic tray where they showed us ‘drops’ of oil from our car and compared them to the color tables next to it. They included the front and rear axle oils, transmission oils, and some others.
They suggested in particular a full transmission flush. I said no way, and that the transmission had been COMPLETELY rebuilt less than a month ago. I asked to show me the fluid from my car. The clerk then said that most likely the transmission had not been filled with the correct fluid and that was what caused it to be so dirty and in need of repair. Again, I said that was not the case (the person who rebuilt my transmission was a 17-yr veteran Ford technician who had started his own business – for sure he could have chosen the right fluid….). Again, I asked to see the fluid from my car’s transmission, and then he told me that he couldn’t do the because the unit was ‘sealed’ (THEN HOW DID THEY GET IT THE FIRST TIME?). He went back to the back and then said something along the lines of ‘Oh, I guess the technician suggested it based on the mileage.’ – That was a lot of junk.
They also ‘strongly suggested’ that I flush out my axle oils – they showed me the color of the oils on the little tray he brought out. I am fairly knowlegeable about cars, and from what I understand pulling oil out of an axle is stupid and difficult – which made me further believe that their ‘oil comparison’ table was probably pulled out of some vat in the back. They wanted to replace the brakes, engine oil filter, axle fluids, power steering fluids, and other things.
I went in for a $30 oil change that was supposed to be 45 minutes, and left angry 1 1/2 hrs later with a proposal of another $870 in ‘strongly necessary repairs.’
I wouldn’t go back if they paid ME.
