Went there with my wife today!! What a freakin waste of my time!! Not sure how you sell cars?? The 1st yo yo that came out asked what I was interested in. I mentioned that I was looking at the 2012 3 series and the 2014 diesel. However I was informed by your sales rep that BMW did not make any 2012 3 series X drive cars. I know that isn’t true. How ever I put that aside and asked what he had in terms of diesels. He pointed to the white one and said he had that. I mentioned that it wasn’t an X drive, did he have any thing else? He said he would have to check his inventory on the computer. Would I come in. I asked if he could check while we looked around. Waited 10 mins only to see him leave the building, cross the parking lot and proceed down the road! I guess he quit????
Finally I said to my wife lets get the hell out of here when Luis Morisete over heard my comment. He asked if I was being helped and I said I thought I was but the guy is walking down the road now!! Not across the street to the other building. I mean a left turn, then walking down the road!!
I had seen a 535 Xi that looked nice. Low miles decent price. I asked If I could take this out for a test drive and he said sure!
Got the keys and off we went!! Or so I thought!!! The car was on empty!! It showed that I could drive 4 miles ! As we went straight down the road the gas milage quickly changed to 2 miles!! WTF!
So I made a right a right and a right! Worlds shortest test drive EVER!! Luis didn’t seem to care!
I have bought several BMW’s over the last 10years from Prestige, Wide World and OCBMW and Tenefly has got to be the worst dealer that I have ever encountered!! if your sales dept could care less about the customer I could only imagine how bad the service dept is!!! Really not sure how you have stayed in buisness
It is always by recommendation that I search for a reputable car dealership.
Your salesman is and should be the one to explain ALL your options and have a working knowledge of the cars you are interested in.
Mr. Siegel is excellent as a customer rep and knows his cars.
I leased and love it. Understand that I was a Volvo Die Hard x3 cars from a 740,850 and lastly an S60.
What made me switch is that I moved too far to buy at Hudson Valley Volvo and I wanted a Beemer since I was 18!
I am happy…..Thank you Fred and my biscotti is BETTER than yours!…HAHAHAHA
I like to add that my experience at the BMW of Tenefly was extremedly pleasant. Mr. fred Siegel is a true honest hard working sales person who helps you wiht your car needs. Mr. Siegel exceded my expectations. I stopped to see him after being recommeded by my brother who has purchased 3 other cars wiht him. Mr. Siegel tried to help me decide which car best fitted my nees and budget. I am still under my lease contract wiht my car but as soon as it is done next month, for sure I will be going to get my next car with Mr. Siegal. I strongly believe that how you are treated by the sales person, is the experience you take and my family has been very greatful to have learned all about the BMW family with fred. KUDOS FRED!! See you in few weeks 🙂
I purchased a ‘pre-owned’ BMW 21 days ago from this dealer. For starters, it took over 2 hours to ‘check out’ and I was paying cash.
Accessories were missing from the car.
No ‘Certified Pre-Owned documents’
No first aid kit.
No navigation DVD.
No tool kit.
No salesman who sold the car and took my deposit.
Here I sit, and my non-resident Temporary registration has EXPIRED.
When I called 3 days prior to inquire of the impending expiration, the response I received:
“Problem? Why you didn’t call earlier?”
And I paid a non-negotiable $369 extra fee for them to handle the auto registration transaction. (And it’s only a plate transfer)
Stay away and go to another dealer.
Salesperson listed a certain price on the Purchase Agreement for the value of our trade in. He listed the wrong amount. The day we went into pick up the car the mistake was revealed, while signing the typed Purchased Agreement.
When we asked the business finance manager about this, he tried to brush it off as a mistake and he was going to give us a different amount. He then called the salesperson into the room, who became quite defensive and yelled at me.
I left without the car because the salesperson was so rude and obnoxious.
The following day, the business finance manager called and asked me to come in again. I asked why in the world I would deal with them after being treated so badly and he asked me to overlook it.
Dealer has no responsibility over salesperson. Does not own up to mistakes or promises. Even though it was written out.
