I made an inquiry online this week and when I came into the dealership I was greeted right away from the sales person that was meeting me and he was very nice. The only thing that I am extremely disappointed in is that they were not able to make a deal with me to get me into another new Acura. I was looking forward to continuing doing business with Acura because I have always had a great experience within sales and the service department. They allowed me to walk out knowing that tomorrow I will be going to another dealership.
Very disappointed!
Nasty, rude, obnoxious dealership that treats its customers with contempt. Every single time I brought the car in for service it was a hassle. I decided to sell the nearly new car just so I would not have to deal with them any more!! Charged for a brake repair that should have been covered. Service manager said "oops!" Really? oops? Bluetooth never worked properly, service rep. said "That’s the way it works". Now one year later, still trying to get my money back from the brake repair. Even the woman that answers the phone is nasty! Too many more examples to share with you that won’t fit here. Stay away from this dealership!
Absolutely agree with everything you say!!! Same issue! WHAT A NASTY PEOPLE AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
We sincerely apologize for your negative experience at our dealership. My name is Marc Rediker, GM of Acura of Ocean. This is definitely not how we treat our customers and I would like to look into this situation. Please call me at: 732-776-5200.
“deposit trick”. We were asked to put several thousand of deposit before even agreeing upon pricing. Definitely NO NO. If you do, then your deposit would become “hostage” to do a deal with them. Watch Out.
I bought a pre-owned MDX last April and was told that the car would be cleaned and all issues would be taken care of before i picked it up. The day I picked my car up there was a tear in the leather in the front seat, the sunroof was not working properly, the interior was never cleaned and the windshield wipers weren’t replaced. When i asked why it wasn’t cleaned I was told that they couldn’t get the stains out of the interior. Really? I got the stains out without any problem with Oxyclean! They finally fixed the Sunroof after bringing it in twice and the leather was fixed but the point is they should have NEVER given me the car in that condition. The only reason i even accepted it was b/c I was 9/1/2 months pregnant and time was just not on my side. So much for the “150 point inspection”. My car was returned to me with black dirt and grease on the interior and the leather seats!!!! I had to re-clean a car that should have (again) never be given to me that way. I was told when i bought my car that i’d get free oil changes for life. I questioned why i was being charged and i eventually had the not so pleasurable experience of speaking with the GM. I told him that i thought they should honor what was promised to me. he said that the salesperson was no longer w/them so he couldn’t verify that I was promised that. Really? Like I’d lie about it? Anyway, I told him that I wasn’t trying to get something for free that wasn’t promised to me and he said “well it sounds like you are”. This coupled with the fact that he pulled my comments from a previous survey and kept saying to me..”you scored us a 4.6! A 4.6!!”. I have a family member who works for Lexus and she literally was speechless that he said that to me. His (Steve the GM) rudeness was beyond anything that i have ever experienced! My relative that works for Lexus told everyone and they are using my experience in their training of what NOT to do. How can anyone at that dealership strive for excellence when they have a leader who doesn’t know ANYTHING about running a business or customer relations. We will be trading up but given my experience I don’t think i want another Acura product. I can’t believe he was willing to loose a customer, risk having bad recommendations that could impede future business all for what…oil changes? Moron!
We had our tires replaced by this dealership only to find that they bent the rotors when overtightening the wheels. They refused to replace the rotors, and wanted to charge us $200.00 to re-cut the rotors. An independant mechanic verified their mistake and went as far as to say it’s common. Short-minded business model, no consideration for a 10 year customer of several cars.

they promised me 4 new tires, they were a set of tires from a different used car. recently something came up with my front bumper and the body shop guy asked me what happened with the hood. I told him nothing and he told me there was work done. I called the dealership and Dan the used card manager and the GM didn’t care. too bad, I am in the market for a new RDX. So I called corporate ACURA and they didn’t care either. Guess I am done with ACURA- such a shame as my entire family has ACURA/HONDA. I will be going back to American to help out my country. Stay away from this dealership

My wife and I purchased our new MDX from Acura of Ocean. it was the best experience we ever had at a dealership. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. It took 2 hours from test drive, to walk around, to negotiating to writing the deal. Everything was put in writing and there were no misunderstandings. The salesperson took the time to go over the the bluetooth, set up our phones and garage door opener and the navigational system. We even had our first service. Free oil changes, car washes and loaner cars make it all worthwhile. We highly recommended this dealership to all our friends and family.
Just wait until you need something. Their true colors will surely show. They were all smiles and sweet when I was purchasing my 3 vehicles, but when they damaged my vehicle, they insisted on charging us for the repair. Good Luck.
