This dealership is a rip off all the way from the salesperson to the service department. Bought a new Ford Taurus from them, have had nothing but trouble since I bought it. They had my car for 3 days knowing when I dropped it off they didn’t even have parts for it and didn’t have the honesty to tell me. They put over a 100 miles on my car and never even worked on it, didn’t even do my oil change. They screwed my financing up and wouldn’t make it right. After I bought the car, they wanted nothing more to do with me. 2011 Taurus with $7000 down…Stay away from that place, they are crooks…and they are rude!!! I’ve been back there 3 times trying to get them to repair problems on my car, they lied to me each time. I use my local dealership, a world of difference between the two, regret not purchasing my new vehicle locally.
Brought my 2006 Ford Focus in to trade for 2010 Focus. I still owed $9000 on my trade. They insisted that they would be able to get me into a new Focus at a payment within my budget. After being there for 3 hours they offered me an ok price for the 2010, a horrible deal for the trade in, and an even worse interest rate (I didn’t know this at the time). They knew I really needed a car so they really pressured me into buying for this horrible deal. They insisted that I would be able to refinace in 6 months for a payment that would be more reasonable. Six months later every bank in america is laughing at me because I owe so much more than the car is worth that no one will refinance it even though I have good credit. I know it’s my fault because I was easily pressured and I didn’t really know what I was doing. But I really feel they took advantage of me. I’ve lost all respect for this dealership and would never buy from them again! I love my car, but can’t enjoy it because my payment is so high! Lessons learned…
Location approved me and made the deal. Three days later they relized they made a mistake in figuring the payment. I understand mistakes happen, they should of corrected it without voiding the lease. They then distracted me by speaking with the General Manager, while they took my copy of the singed lease out of the glove box.
Took my truck in 1st thing in the morning. Explained to them what part needed replaced (would have replaced the part myself but didn’t have the time). I was told that they would have the truck done by the end of the day. They called me several times during the day trying to get me to ok them fixing other things that they thought needed repaired. I told them each time to just fix they problem that I took it in for and that is it. The next morning they called to say the truck was ready to be picked up. When I got there, they had replaced the wrong part and charged me $272.00 to do that. After arguing with them about it and receiving no apologies at all, I drove to spreedway auto, purchased the part I needed for $22 and fixed the truck myself in 30 mins. Should have just done that in the 1st place…so much for trying to save myself some time. Also, on my bill they charged $13 for an EPA disposal fee……they took off a metal part that goes in the trash, it’s not like it was oil or coolant!! They said the EPA charge is automatic and goes on everyones bill…even it they take out your car stereo and replace it…..WHAT?
I had service done on my vehicle on Jan 20, 2010. Less than 2 months later (and after spending over $360) the same problem arose. I called to schedule another appointment so they can re-fix the problem. When I brought my vehicle back in to the SAME place, they wanted to charge me another $80 for a diagnostic fee! I told them that doesn’t seem right because my problem wasn’t fixed when they supposedly diagnosed it the first time after I had already spent $80 for a diagnostic fee. The service advisor, of course, talked his way around trying to make me feel like it was needful for another diagnostic fee in order to pinpoint the problem.
I already have a problem with dealerships “milking” money from people. When they don’t even work with you on trying to solve a problem that they supposedly fixed, then it proves my point of them scamming people.
I DO NOT recommend anyone taking their vehicle to Paul Harvey Ford for service. They charge you fees to find the problem, and apparently they “guess” to see what works and if it doesn’t work, your in for another treat of spending more money for them to guess or should I say “diagnose” what the problem is. Of course, we all have extra money lying around just to give to dealerships. I might as well have set over $360 on W. 38th Street and let the wind carry it to where it felt!
:DBefore a co-worker told me about Paul Harvey, I had never even heard of the dealership. I have a 2001 F150 who’s engine light had come on and was runnig really funny. I had taken it to one of the local auto repair shops and they suggested that I replace the whole engine. I thought the recommendation was kind of drastic so I decided to resort to a professional opinion. I took my truck to Paul Harvey for a diagnoses, and within a day; they informed me that the plugs and wires had gone bad. Since the miles were getting up there, they suggested a tune-up. I’ve had my truck back now for over a week and it runs just like new. As far as I am concerned, Paul Harvey Ford’s service department is the best! 😉

I took my car into Paul Harvey becasuse of 3 service lights on my dash (ABS, Traction Control, and Power Train). I knew that I was outside my 3 year/36k warranty, but still needed to have it looked at. I took it in first thing in the morning. I was told it would cost $96 for a diagnostic and that I would have an answer by 3-4pm. At 4pm I called and they told me that they were still troubleshooting and that I needed to leave it there over night. I explained that I needed it to get home. They said I could rent a car from them or they could put it back together. If they put it back, I will still be charged and still wouldn’t know what the problem was. I said to keep it overnight but that the next day to have it ready in the same condition I brought it in and I would consider the cost. I was called that night and told that there were 2 issues and that neither was covered under warranty and starting cost would be $800 and still may not solve all of the problems. I told them “no thanks” and to have my car ready.
The next morning I went to pick it up and drove it off the lot. Within 1/2 mile, my car would no longer accelerate, my AC/Heating unit did not work, and my car stereo was malfunctioning (the last 2 items were just fine before I took it in) When I called Paul Harvey I was told “We were suprised you were even able to get it here in the first place…have it brought back and we can start repairs…and we can take a look at your AC problem”. Ha!!!
I called a towing service and had them take it to another Ford dealer…Ray Skillman Ford (WHO WERE OUTSTANDING!). I explained the issues I had with Paul Harvey and they told me that would let me know the next day. When I received a call, imagine my surprise to learn that not only did they find the same problems as Paul Harvey, but 1 was actually COVERED under my power train warranty. Also they 2nd issue was not as bad as what Paul Harvey said. Originally I was told I would have to replace the 4×4 module. Skillman however that was not the case and only needed a new wire harness. At the end of the 2 repairs I was charged $255 vs. the $800 that Paul Harvey Ford wanted.
DO NOT GO TO PAUL HARVEY FORD! They are liars and cheats. I plan to confront the General Manager and how him the 2 different invoices that diagnosed the same problems with much different costs.
I TOTALLY agree with you! They are liars and they don’t fix your problem at all. They try to milk me for another diagnostic fee after they “supposedly” fixed my problem. Oh wait, my problem was never fixed! They wanted to charge me again for the EXACT same thing that they replaced….in less than 2 months!
Stay away from PAUL HARVEY FORD!
I’m going to try out Ray Skillman Ford. Thanks for the recommendation.
