I was having an ongoing drivability problem with my 2002 Silverado but the new manager Joe got right on the problem and fixed it the first visit. I was very happy with the level of professionalism and care that Joe and his staff showed me during my visit. I will be back with all my other GM vehicles!
We had been customers of Groth since 2001, bringing 2 vehicles in for service on a regular basis and even got to know many employees by name.
Over the past year and a half we have had problems with the fuel injectors and had to be towed to Groth on a couple of ocassions. They said they replaced the faulty injectors and re-wired everything. Since then we have experienced black exhaust emitting. This past week we again had the truck towed to Groth and it was determined the Power Control Module would need to be replaced, and the part would not be here until the end of December! Due to the declining performance of the fuel injectors they also quoted us $6,000 just to repair the injectors not previously replaced – my huband noted a figure of $1300 on the PCM order. That would mean we would have no truck for over 2 months.
After making a phone call to J.H. Daily in San Leandro, a PCM was located (1 of 5 in the US). They also quoted us $5,000 for the injectors. When we picked up our truck 4 days later, the service tech stated the work previously done on the injectors was substandard by industry standards. So, for $5000 and change we got our truck working the best it has in over a year! J.H. Daily has our business for now on – GOOD BYE GROTH!
