I was almost kicked out.
Here is the story. We had called and found that they had a 2005 Honda (used). We went there on a Saturday afternoon after speaking with the salesman.
We waited for about 10 min while this salesman was sitting around. Then as we walked out, guys comes behind us. No hello. No greeting. Just a direction to walk over to another parking lot. We walk to the parking lot. We look around for 10 min. Then this guy shows up. Then we get in the car for a test drive. I try to start a conversation. He answered pretty rudely….got the impression that he is not interested to talk. Through the drive there were no description or conversation on how the car is what its feature are. The guy behaved as if I was chauffering him around.
After the test ride, when I parked, I increased the rpm to 5000. Then noticed that the rpm would suddenly drop. I told the salesman about it. He got very upset and became rude. He pretty much charged me with wasting his time.
The next day his manager calls up to follow up on our visit. I told him what happened. He did not even offer an apology!
Next we went to another dealership. The treatment was just the opposite.
There are decent dealers and arrogant and snobbish ones. This Grand Honda in Elmhurst falls in the second category.
