went in to buy a gm car. almost everything checked out, test drove car, my credit is excellent. now here is where it got insane. car was $12,000 sticker and online. finance guy named brad comes in and says car is $12,999 – I said no way, online it said $12,000, he checks on that, then comes back and agrees. stupid me they had me initial a worksheet that the finance guy was running numbers on, just a worksheet, not the finance ppwk or bill of sale. i didnt check the finance ppwk and bill of sale more closely till i got home and all of a sudden the sticker price went from $12,000 to $12,700. i call the next day and they say it was for “dealer prep and lot fee”. ok people i have bought about 4 cars in my life, never even heard of these 2 stupid fees, especially for a used car. i go to the dealership next day and talk to head finance guy ADRIAN SILHU. I say why does this say $12,700, when the sticker price and online ad say $12,000. He starts explaining about the fees – I say these fees are pure profit for you guys and they are not legitimate. He starts saying about how they replaced this and that, I said listen, whatever you spent on the car to fix it should have been incorporated into the advertised price and not snuck in, noy my problem. This is misrepresentation and false advertising. It was NOT even as a separate line item on the bill of sale or finance ppwk. I said how come every other charge here has a separate line item but this? Then he brings out that worksheet that I did initial. It said $12,000 + $700 “DP” which is dealer prep. I said FIRST off – I did not sign this, I intitialed it, SECOND – why is none of this info on the bill of sale or finance ppwk, just ons some worksheet, it means nothing, THIRD – why does the advertisement online say nothing about a “DP” charge – just taxes, title and doc fee, FOURTH – if this worksheet is so important why did I not get a copy of it? He had no answers for any of this. I told him this needs to be corrected, he said oh i can give you some oil changes for free – are you kidding me? I stormed out letting everyone there know I would not buy nother car from a ROSEN DEALERSHIP ever again. So i guess the president of the dealership saw me storm out and then called me a few minutes later on my way home. I said I am very unhappy and upset. He offered to refund my money and I agreed. Although I am grateful, because they did not have to do this. Thw whle point of going though this BS and mind games. You can not trust any of these people and make sure you triple check the ppwk, if theere is 1 damn little thing you do not like, make it aware, because guys like Adrian Silhu will snatch that opportunity up just to make a profit, how these “men” look in the mirror at night i will never know.
