PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!! I am also a fireman and found a nice looking truck I thought would suit my needs at work. When I went to Autocars LTD Andy would not even let me test drive the car until we haggled over the price. I found out later why he didnt want me test drive it. This particular Chevy Truck had a default with the throttle body that only shows up intermitently and reduces the engine power to no more than 15mph. Luckily when I finally did test drive it the next day the problem occurred while driving. The frustrating part was that the other salesman Manuel lied to me about the problem, stating that it was a safety feature in these trucks to conserve gasoline when it gets below 1/4 tank. I didnt appreciate the way I was treated, the salesman Andy was rude and pushy, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Dont go to this car lot. Also I was told 2 hours later that the problem had been fixed and that I should return to buy this lemon of a truck.
This supposedly Fireman is trying to use his “authority” and the “respect we have for Firemen” to mislead the public for his own selfish interest.
He came in our store introducing as such, and afterwhich he wanted the dealership to sell him a vehicle he wanted at the price he wanted to pay, not the price we listed the car for.
Afterwhich he uses another fireman’s name to support his claim.
Let me start by saying I am a fireman and father of 4, I was on autotrader.com looking for a quality used car for my daughter when i came upon what I thought was a great used car.I looked at the car and thought what a great car for my little girl, I was assured by the salesman that this car was in excellent condition and would be reliable for my daughter. I purchased the car for 3500 cash and like a good father to it for a spin while driving it home. I drove 10 miles home and discovered that it was leaking coolant , I then drove it around the corner and it started over heating, I stoped the car and had it towed to a mechanic near by. I quikly called Andy at Autocars ltd as it had been only 2 hours since i purchased the car, I was told that it was my car now and that he was not at fault for selling me a lemon of a car. I now am stuck with 900 dollars worth of repairs and am seeking legal action against this dealer. DONT EVER SHOP AT AUTOCARS LTD. IN LA PUENTE CA
Im 16 and im looking at a used 2002 Dodge Intrepid being sold by Autocars ltd. in La Puente. Im amazed by the warranty they are proposing- it supposedly covers 100,000 miles- but im cautious due to your review-did they offer you this warranty (or any kind of warranty) when you bought the car for your daughter? Did you sign up for this warranty only to find that it was bogus when you called the dealer concerning the vehicle’s problems? Thanks A TON.

this claim/ complaint sounds like a support of the same claim related to mr. halvorson’s (a relative or a sympathizer) please read below:
what happened in this scenario may happen to any used car even after a safety check & inspection, especially on a car that is about 10 years old (for $3500). a blown radiator hose can cause the engine to overheat at anytime, and that’s what happened. please remember mr. halverson: upon getting your call I responded by letting you know that I will have my mechanic take a look at what went wrong. afterwhich I had your car towed by MY tow truck to MY mechanic’s shop, and took care of the repairs. I presented you with the receipts of the parts we replaced to have your car back on the road again. (The Service We Did For You Was Not Mentioned In Your Complaint).
IN ADDITION, THE 5-Yr. WARRANTY THAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE ($3,500) OF THIS VEHICLE SHOWS THE ASSURANCE WE HAD ON THIS PARTICULAR CAR BEFORE THINGS OCCURRED. WE HOPE YOU REALIZE WHAT VALUE WE GAVE YOU FOR THIS CAR.
