I have purchased a Nissan Versa 2007 from them for 8.749. That’s the price on the sticker. When we went to finance it and do paperwork, the finance officer Dallas added one more 1000 to the price. I was excited. Didn’t look at all the papers I was singning. It was my first car on myown after divorce and I thought the price was right and couldn’t even imagine that right infront of my eyes Dallas would do such thing. I just have noticed this 1000. I am going to see what I can do to get it back. But I guess this is a lesson: look before you sign.
My name is Ben Hogan and i went to Koons Nissan in Falls Church. It was also the last time i will every go there. My Nissan Frontier had a remote starter recently installed by Best Buy. Best Buy’s service and install bays where great.
When i dropped my truck off the remote starter worked, when i picked it up it did not. i thought it would be an easy fix but the service guy (Mike) and the customer service rep James Taylor both told me that the issue was not their responsibility that i would be stuck with the bill to fix it. I took it to the Best Buy install bay and the technician there stated “there is no way a computer update or a new key caused the issue. he also stated hes willing to put it into writing and sign his name on the statement. he said “when they where doing work someone had to have bumped something that caused it not to work”. i called Nissan and explained the update from best buy. it took two days for them to respond and their response was there is no way that our guys would of done that we aren’t going to pay to fix it. Koons Nissan doesn’t care about their customers this is another story about a big business’s screwing over their customers because they know they will always get more. I am Active Duty Army so any military people reading this please do not go to Koons Nissan or any other Koons dealer, it doesn’t matter what we’ve done they don’t care, all they want is your money.

I had an excellent experience with this dealership. I found an ad for a 2010 Cube that they had apparently already sold. They did not have the model available any more, however, they told me that they’d meet the ad and bring in another car (the ad showed a new 1.8 S 2010 Cube with CVT at an outstanding price). I went in a total of 4 times between researching the vehicle, test driving a similar one, working on my trade, signing papers and picking up my car. They are picking up the car from my job, taking it for inspection, and dropping it off at my job. The quoted price was within $20.00 of the negotiated price, and the experience has really blown me away. They gave me an incredible deal for my trade, met every promise they made, and exceeded every hope and expectation.
My intent was to upgrade my car. I owned an 03 Altima with great milege (65K+) for a 6 year old car. My plan was to trade it in for a newer Altima. The regular sales pitch occured, and I was ready to do battle, as I decided that I was not paying a high interest rate to financing…..so the battle begins. Koons reps (Nat and Andrew the sales managers) along with the shady finance people ( Joe Messina and Richard the pros) all ganged up to get this car sold. I told them about my credit challenges and disclosed what they needed from me. We struck a deal, or at least that’s what they said. I asked them to be sure the deal was solid before I drove off. The assured me that it was. A week later, they call me in and tell me that the banks don’t want to concede to their demands, so now they have to recoup the loss. I was ready to drive my cute little low mileage 03 Altima back home and they told me they sold it……WHAT?@#$%!!!!!
Now, at this point the deal should have been done, right? Wrong……please please please read everything they ask you to sign. They take great care in manipulating the situation towards their liking. I guess after they got tired of haggling with me, they decided to use scare tactics and threaten me by saying that they can take their car back and that I would have nothing. It was 9pm @ night I live in Laurel MD where no buses run and I was in Falls Church, VA…….do the math. Yes, I signed the contract after being put under much durest and being threatened that if I did not sign the paperwork that I would have nothing including my trade that they sold before the deal was done. People, if you get nothing else from this, please get that you have to read every piece of paper that you sign. Don’t trust the finance people to truthfully intrepret what you need to understand yourself. They will hold you to that and use it against you if necessary. I don’t care how bad your credit situation is, don’t lose yourself in the process. You do have some recourse and some leverage if you understand your rights and what you are entitled to.
