Awesome dealership, I read some of these reviews before I posted mine and I will tell you some people just cant be satisfied, I however am very pleased with Lumberton Honda and always have been!!! I tend to trade my car every year or two and have had nothing but great experiences in the past with them. I will most definitely be doing all of my car business with them. Wouldn’t go anywhere else if you paid me
Can you say dealership review on this one? What a joke.
I applied online for credit preapproval and Casey,a customer relations rep. told me after talking with credit manager I was pretty approved for a $0 down financing. That was only way we would travel that far in a vehicle with no air! We arrived there and they put us thru 2 hours of B.S. and never even got to look at a car! We were finally told we couldn’t buy any car w\O $2,000.00 down.I have had 2 strokes and actualy died in hospital 3rd time.I don’t deal with dishonest people.Unless something changes I will tell everyone I know to stay away from them.It cost me $34 in gas plus the misery as I’m in bad health. My next step is to file a formal complaint with N.C. Attorney General.Hope I have grounds for civil law suit. It will take a long time for me to recover from thisLying Crap! Robert L. I stopped by to look at a 2013 Honda Accord, but had no intention to buy at this time. When pressed I said that the only way I would trade at this time was if the payment was less than my current payment and no more than 72 months financing. Negotiations went on for about two hours and I kept rejecting their offers and asking for my car key back to leave as I did not need to trade. When I agreed to the final payment offered, I later discovered that the term wasn’t 72 months, but 75. Still I went ahead and accepted the car. When I got home I discovered the dealer added options that were on the window sticker they put in the car pocket were not on the car. I immediately went back to the dealership to point out to them that they owed me for the remaining options and they told me they were taken out of the deal to make my payment requirements work, so I didn’t pay for them. They should have told me they deducted over $1500 worth of options from the car when they made the final offer. I feel like a bait and switch victim when I am bidding on the sticker and they are offering me a $1500 cheaper car. Buyer beware as this is apparently how this owner operates his dealerships as I had a smaller problem with Lumberton Mazda that was never corrected.
I strongly recommend driving a few miles more on I-95 to Brian Honda, or any other Honda Dealer because Lumberton Honda is unfair, ignores consumer cals, and rips consumer off. I was not given an option of purchasing a service plan. I was told the plan was good everywhere, and when I tried to use it in SC, was told it was only good at Lumberton. When I called to complain they never returned my calls and when I went there in person, hey intentionally gave me a wrong number for the Honda Consumer compliants. It was only AFTER I filed a compliant that I was reimbursed and they faied to reimburse me the full amount. I went there in person one more time and was promised they would resolve it. They failed to and still continue to not return my calls. I am a disabled Veteran and if this is how they treat someone who has served their country, I then encourage everyone to stay away. I purchased my previous vehicle from Brian Honda and comparing the two, Brian Honda knows how to treat their Veterans. Lumberton Honda is a RIPOFF!
my daughter bought a car through these people and we co-signed because she was 18 and had no credit…or so we thought! when the first payment arrived to my address not her’s….i called the bank because my name was first on the loan. so i called to inquire about who with the borrower and who was the co-borrowere…low and behold…I was the Borrower and she was the co-borrower! which is not the paper work i signed! i signed as the co-signer! Then because i live over 800 miles from her we went to visit her 3 weeks after buying the car, her two fron tires were completely bald! the outside edge of the tire is as smooth as a baby’s bottom! the inside tread has very little…i have called about these issues and I am waiting on a return call! I have also called a lawyer and will proceed with the next step if they do not return my call.
I walked into Lumberton Honda with my trade in and was told that I would get $3000 for it and a good deal. Those people sure can lie. I was there for a total of 8 hours. They never gave me $3000 for my trade in. What they did was mark the price up another $3000 and then deducted $3000 from the price they quoted me. They lied and told me I was getting GAP insurance, when in fact I was tricked into buying an extended warranty that I didnt need. I was told I would be paying, for the used 2010 Toyota Corolla with 30,000 miles on it already, for 60 months. When I got home and read my contract it was for 72 months. Who pays for a used cart for 72 months? When I tried to contact the original salesperson and finance guy, i was told they were both terminated. When I tried to contact the owner and some sales managers I could never get through to anyone and was always placed on hold. I finally went out there to speak to someone and was left waiting in the lobby while a “manager” took my paper work and was trying to see who did my deal. And before I saw the manager I was insulted by another person who stated ” I wasnt woman enough” to leave my name and phone number with her. I could go on another 2 pages about this matter but im afraid you dont have enough space. In short, do NOT buy a car from these people.
I have a warranty issue with my new Odyssey and I took it to Lumberton Honda where I purchased it. On both occasions they lied about the time to diagnose the problem and when they figured it out they were unsure on how to fix it (because they did not listen when I told them where the problem was to begin with). They told me they would pay for a rental car and they dropped me off at the rental place who insisted on my major credit card, I had them take me back to Lumberton Honda and they put me in a dealership tagged vehicle that had just enough gas to make it home, plug for charging phone was not operating, the dealership tag was not attached and kept falling out of back window, the windshield wipers would not pass NC state inspection (very dangerous), and the spare time compartment is sloshing about 2 inches of water. They gave me a temporary registration that expired 11 days ago. They have promised to call and have not called repeatedly. Leaving me to guess what they are doing w/my van. Then to top it off I called and requested to speak to the general manager of the dealership. Of course they gave me his voice mail and I left a message six days ago and neither he nor anyone that has worked for him has been courteous enough to return my call. I bought this vehicle about 45 days ago and so far they have it had 14 days total and I still do not have it. NONE of their management has taken the time to personally talk to me and their service writers have no public relations training as they treat people as hostages.
