Was in the market for a used car and had it narrowed down to two…one here at Westgate, and another somewhere else. I’ve got terrible credit and knew they’d have to do some fancy financing footwork to get me into the car and while I was at the other dealer Tommy called me with financing that the other dealer couldn’t touch. They got me a great interest rate and an incredible warranty to boot. Everything about my experience with Westgate was great!
I had the blend doors replaced in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealership in 2009 which is a $1000 repair. And not 18 months later (June 2011), the same repair is needed again. I would definitely reconsider taking any vehicle to this dealership for any type of repair. The turnover is high. Each time I come to this dealership, there is a new service manager. Definitely not worth the trouble and technicians appears to do sub-par work. Won’t be back here again. Ever. This will be my last Chrysler purchase based on this experience.
The service team for this dealership is a joke! My husband and I came to the dealership for routine maintenance for my Jeep. I went through the small list of things to be tended to twice and they conveniently added items to the list and didn’t mention it to my husband when they had him sign the service order. When we addressed the issue at pick-up the woman basically told us that we didn’t know what we were talking about (servicing cars). My husband was a service advisor for four years and he told her how the service should have been handled. BEWARE if you go to them ~ they WILL rip you off!!!! Bring the Vasiline!!!!
In 2006, my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee was running poorly and needed a head gasket and quite a bit of service, miles = 150,000. After an agonizing decision to fix rather than sell and buy a different Jeep, I decided to keep the vehicle long term and get it fixed. I wanted a reputable and good mechanic, so I went to David O’Neal Chrysler/Jeep in Raleigh NC. After >$2000 (aa bit more than other service places), the Jeep has been running smoothly and efficiently for 3+ years…now over 205,000 miles. Happy with the mechanic’s work.
We leased a Jeep Cherokee from David O’Neal Westgate Rd/Raleigh and three months prior to the lease expiring, we purchased the vehicle outright in September 2009. The contract indicated that we were due back $500 and would receive this check soon. After a month, we politely asked for our money and were told we’d have it within a week. Another call – same story. Another call same story. They then told us that we needed to “deal” with Chyrsler Financing . Chrysler Financing told us to go back to David O’Neal and “work with them”. We called the dealer again and got the same runaround about “the check is in the mail”. It is now December 18th and we called again today to let them know this was totally unacceptable. Our call was transferred from person to person, to voice mail – and ultimately the sales manager WHO HUNG UP ON my husband. And we are decent and fair people. We love the jeep. But we will NEVER deal with this business again given the poor way we have been treated and their lack of integrity. Looks like business must be real good for them as they aren’t interested in repeat customers or providing the stellar service their website proclaims. We certainly can’t and won’t recommend them – or do business with them in the future.
