2.5 weeks ago, my husband and I called Crane Chevrolet to make an appointment to bring in our Saturn Vue for a new transmission. On Friday, July 13, we were told to bring our vehicle in at 8:30am on on Tuesday, July 17. We dropped the vehicle off bright and early on July 17. On Thursday (19th), after hearing nothing, we called and were told that, “they had not been able to look at the vehicle because they had other cars before ours.” They said they would look at it later that day. On Friday, we called again, and were told that “They had driven it, but still needed to look at the transmission.” We went and picked up our car. What a ridiculous waste of our time! We were without a vehicle for 4 days, for what? So it could sit in their lot and collect dust while they took their sweet time to get to it? I simply do not understand why they were so specific about us bringing it in on Tuesday morning, and not once did they contact us to tell us they were too busy to look at it. I will never bring my car to another chevy dealership for service.
This was the most awful car-buying experience my husband and I ever had. I will NEVER go back to Crane’s Chevrolet of Clifton on 46. RALPH KAMHI the salesman was rude, stupid, incompetent, and a liar. He promised we could have a certain mirror installed in the car by Chevy. He promised it was in the car. We spend 5 hrs at the dealership, working out financing options, etc. Right before giving the check over, we realized it was the wrong mirror and he then claimed it couldn’t be done. The manager TOM HEALY, was just as stupid, incompetent, and rude. We were then wiling to deal for an LT2 rather than 1 and they basically kicked us out. Well screw them cause we found a reputable dealership who was able to do what we wanted in a timely and nice fashion. The only nice person we dealt with was Joe from finance, but at that point it was too late and they weren’t getting our money. NEVER GO TO CRANE. THEY WILL SCREW YOU LIKE THEY SCREWED US AND EVERYONE ELSE.
I recently purchased a 2011 Chevy Silverado Z71 and the dealership lost me after my first service appointment. Not only were they incompetent at following simple instructions, they were lead by a General Manager “TOM” that made sure I will not spend another dollar at his dealership, all over a $100 part that his service department made a mistake on.
My truck came with a contractor package that the dealer installed only for the bed rail protectors to fall off two weeks later. I had contacted the dealership and informed them about the faulty bed rail protectors, and I was informed that it must have been the wax coating on the vehicle that caused the sticky tape not to stay on. I scheduled an appointment to have the bed rail protectors replaced and informed the service representative “Dennis” to contact me when they were going to work on the truck, in order for me to tell them where to notch the bed rail protectors, around the light bar that had been installed. I waited until 4pm and didn’t receive a call so I drove to the dealership to find two technicians working on my bed rail protectors. One side had been cut so badly that we decided not to use and the other side we cut and placed on while I was there. I was told they would order a new one and reschedule to have it replaced. I stopped by 6(six) days later and found out they had 4 pairs of bed protectors in stock however the general manager “TOM” would not replace them.
I do not understand, how I ask for them to contact me before they work on my truck and they fail to call me. The part was ruined and was not used on my vehicle; however the dealership would not replace it. This dealership has seen the last of my money and if you want to be taken for a ride like I did, I would seriously reconsider your dealer options.

After signing a contract and leaving a 2 grand deposit on a SUV,the day we went to pick up our vehicle we were told by the Service Manager that the SUV was sold to someone else.. when we went to the dealership in person, the manager had mastered the art of BEEBADA BEEBAADA BOO and then tried to intimidate us as to a whole other BS excuse for the vehicle not being there. Rude, Flippant, Unprofessional and all around dead beats. So very happy to have an attorney already working on this one.
