I recently visited Maple Shade Mazda in Turnersville and after showing interest in a particular vehicle, I asked the sales person to determine the best price based on paying cash. He consulted with the sales manager and came back with a rather unprofessional looking sheet of paper that had a price written in large green marker pen, followed by the words “today only”. I explained to him that I was not in a position to make a commitment at that moment as I needed to consult with my wife, and to bring her back so that together we could take a test drive. I even asked this gentleman which days he worked so that I could coincide my return with him being there.
At this point the sales manager (I did not get his name) approached and abruptly took over the conversation indicating that the price quoted was for that day only, and so to be sure I asked him if I came back the next day would he not consider giving me the same price and his answer was “absolutely not”. Needless to say, I got up and walked out.
I am glad I did because i subsequently found numerous websites with unhappy reviews from customers. In fairness I wrote an e-mail to Mr. Dimmerman to bring this issue to his attention and to this day he has not responded.
This speaks volumes about the poor service they provide.
