I had a warranty issue with my Chevy truck. I dealt will David Carr and Roberto. Both employees were hard working and very pleasant to work with. They both went above and beyond to take care of my issues and make a satisfied customer. I would highly recommend the service department and both employees are an asset to the Cox company. Thanks again. Job well done.
I went to Cox and told John who greeted me that I had a 2004 car to trade and wanted a payment around $200. I didn’t care if I got pre-owned, new or lease. He got me a salesperson, Harriet and her and she talked with Oscar and he said they could get me in a lease on a Chevy Cruze. I picked the color and took it for a test drive and bought it. It was a good experience and I told my daughter to go there when she was ready to purchase.
I walked in and told the person that greeted me that I had the car I was driving as a trade and I wanted a car payment around $200. They went and got a salesperson for me and I ended up leasing a 2013 Cruze for $266 with everything included. I was very happy and everyone was very nice. When I came back the next day to get something out of my old car they all greeted me and were more than willing to help. I already told my daughter when she was ready she should go there.
In jul of 2012 my wife was driving by the dealership when she was hit by a customer on a test drive. She wasn’t injured but the front of our van was smashed up pretty good. They gave us the run around and around saying it was the people who were test driving the suv’s responsobility to repair our van. Three months past we still hadn’t had our van repaired, although we hounded them almost daily, when the hood decided to fly up and smash the windshield almost causing me to flip and kill my whole family. Well it’s now Nov and our van still hasn’t been fixed, aside from the hood and windshield that I had to buy out of my own pocket… We were told to come in and have an estimate done, which we did but never got anywhere, or even an actual estimate. Needless to say the couple test driving the suv that hit my wife didn’t buy and ran for the hills. And a few days after the wreck I saw it sitting on the lot still for sale as brand new even though it had been wrecked and had body repairs.
I’ve been a mechanic at another dealership for six years and have heard all kinds of horror stories come from cox.. I Wouldn’t work there if it was the last job on earth.. P.s. all we ever wanted was our van fixed, we were not trying to make money.. Just fix our damn vehicle it’s the right thing to do..
Jon Rudd I think Rude fits better..
Went to Cox Chevrolet yesterday to buy a 2012 Nissan. The vehicle was never detailed, was dirty and had stains that I requested to have removed. We went through all of the paperwork and were ready to buy but wanted them to take care of the stains and cleaning before we proceeded with financing. They already pulled our credit and new it was excellent so that was not a problem. It was 8:00 at night and we wanted to see if the stains came out to our satisfacation before we finalized the deal. We said we would come back at 9:00 am in the morning. Kevin was a very nice and pleasant salesperson. However, the sales manager Larry very rudely informed us that we “HAD TO DO ALL THE PAPERWORK RIGHT NOW AS IT WAS THE END OF THE MONTH AND IF WE DIDN’T HE WOULD NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE DETAILED AND WOULD TAKE IT TO AUCTION TOMORROW.” Then he walks off. Well we were stunned at the treatment and I went up and told him he could just take his car to the auction. If I were the owner he would be fired and if I were Kevin I would not work for a company that blows the sale, and if I were buying a car I would just drive on by Cox Chevrolet. With Cox Chevrolet you do it their way or take the highway. I chose the highway. I will spend my money “my way” somewhere else.
My wife and I needed a “new” vehicle for our growing family, so we began our search on the internet. We found this dealership had MANY vehicles that fit our needs and they had some of the best prices for comparable in the greater Tampa Bay area…so we made the hour drive down. We were greeted by Tim and helped us located the vehicles we were looking for. Tim did a GREAT job of getting all the vehicles we were considering side-by-side so we could compare them closely, he even brought one from their Mazda dealership across the street. Tim went through each vehicle, pointing out features that we would have otherwise missed, and he paid close attention to our wants and needs.
We ended up deciding on a Pre-Owned 2011 Ford Flex, and it was in GREAT shape. Tim asked us several times if we felt comfortable with the decision and made sure this was a vehicle we would not only be happy with today…but for years to come. After we told him we were certain, we sat down and started working numbers and the payment was a little higher than we wanted to be at. Tim took the time to talk to the Pre-Owned Manager, Larry, who was sure to come over and show us the Retail Value and Comparison Pricing for the vehicle we chose….they were already WELL BELOW the pricing on both. Larry asked us to give him a few minutes, went back to his office and was able to work out a deal that made us happy, even though they had to give us more for our trade than it was really worth.
I am very pleased with my buying experience at this dealership. I never felt like they were trying to push me into anything and they listened to our concerns and preferences. They even offer a year of FREE MAINTENANCE, unfortunately I’m an hour away, otherwise I would definitely get good use of that. This dealership is family owned and operated and they treat their customers like part of the family…that’s rare these days. I’m extremely happy with our new vehicle AND proud to be a part of the Cox Family. Thank you Cox Chevrolet, Larry and especially Tim!!!
Anthony in Service is the BEST. He is always pleasant and professional. He is patient and takes the time to answer my questions. Since I do not know much about cars, he puts my mind at ease knowing he will take good care of me. It is a pleasant experience every time. I will always have my car serviced at COX. Thanks again Anthony.
Worst car shopping experience I’ve ever had. Received an Internet quote from you on a specific vehicle…made an appointment…and arrived at the specified time, only to wait 20 minutes…and no one offering to help. It went downhill from there. The rest of the story is too long to tell on here, but rest assured, my car shopping will be somewhere other than Cox.
P.S. Tell Finian my name is not James. told him twice. Also tell him that GM offers discounts to retired military as well. He’s not very well informed!
We went looking for an SUV so we thought we would go check out Cox..We were greeted by a used car salesman that really didnt seem very motivated guy(middle aged middle eastern fellow whom I dont even know his name). Its kinda sad that I never owned on of these vehicles and knew MUCH more about than he did. THEN, when I go to look at the SUV’s, ALL of them had cosmetic damage(scratched like crazy) and some even had bumper damage and the interior was BEAT UP. Cracked interior panels, brown carpet that was originally grey, seats so nasty theres now way I’d buy em! They obviously DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WASH A VEHICLE prior to sale for presentation!!! Then when asked about the damage to the SUV(s) I was told that it would be fixed BUT I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!! LOL WOW now thats bad business guys. Obviously Coxs’ auction buyers are buying rental garbage straight from auction and doing nothing with them but putting them on the lot for a VASTLY overpriced sticker. THEN, they tried to offer me 4,000 less than I just was offered down the road at Ford for my trade in. Again, pretty bad business as far as the used car sales go..Win/win for them , screw the customer by selling overpriced damaged goods and rob em of the trade in. Pretty sad indeed. It sure doesnt say much for Cox Chevrolet and I hope the rest of the dealership isnt ran in this fashion.

I would definitly buy from Frank at Cox Chevrolet again. He treated us in a very professional manner.
. he did not pressure us to “buy now”
. he spent a lot of time going over the particular car
. he was very friendly and went out of his way to please us
. he did not hurry us along

I resently helped my son purchase a used car from Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton. I live in St Petersburg and my son is in the Air Force in Little Rock, Ark. My son found the car on the internet. I visited Cox Chevy to check out the car. The car was very clean as described by Joel Curto ,the internet sales manager. I was also assisted by Derek Besemer, who I found was very helpful in getting the deal we were looking for. I had a great experiance with Cox Chevrolet and these sales people. I would recomend Cox to anyone looking for a good deal. Joe Standish

:p I recently traded in a Cadillac De Ville for a pre owned Chrysler Sebring and it was so easy. We test drove the Sebring one evening and drove it away the next afternoon, everything completed. The service was painless and we never felt pressured at all. When I want to trade again Cox Bradenton will be my first call. 😉 Many Thanks. Annette Chapman
I love my new car. Travis was great to work with. In fact he was so nice to work with and did not pressure me to buy (i hate when sales people to that) that i brought my girl friend there the very next week so she could buy a car from Travis and i know for a fact that she loves her new ride alot. Thanks again Travis for all your help.FYI when i hear of any friends or family thats in need of a new car i will be sending then to cox chevrolet to see Travis.
:):):)
I love my new car and I was very pleased with the service I received from the salesperson. I also LOVED the cookies I got in the mail a week or so later as a “thank you” gift from Mr. Cox…they are DELICIOUS! 😉
My Blazer has almost 100,000 miles and has required very little maintenance over the years. I asked for a thorough review of its current condition and recommended service. I was given a detailed explanation of service needed, but also a “priority” list of the most important repairs if I chose not to do everything as recommended. Since the car has relatively low value (due to its age and mileage), this allowed me to choose the items that could compromise safety or near-term reliability and defer some others.
:)I had a Wish List for our new car and many questions. The salesman was most helpful and low-key (the best kind). I couldn’t be happier with our Equinox choice (except for no place to hang clothes) and all the folks at Cox Chevrolet made us feel welcome.
