I purchased a Flood titled 2010 Corvette Grandsport. Kirk was extremely informative, and patient with me..I had a ton of questions. He described the car to a tee down to the smallest of details..car is better than described. He was extremely transparent with the Flood title status, and answered all my questions..Always calls back or picks up when called…The staff at Auburndale Motorsports is top notch, zero pressure and willing to help with anything..Kirk had stood behind and followed through with any promise made. Super happy and will return for my next car. Now my first choice and the price was beyond fair. Thank you Kirk and staff
I purchased the vehicle based on their evaluation, on ebay. Discovered a bent frame when I started tearing it down. (Kirk offered to get me in touch with someone in Louisville “who would do me right”). BIG DEAL. 5 hours away. It has now been three months, and I still do not have a title. So, I sit and admire my truck (over $30,000 worth) and can’t sell my old one to get cash flow, because I need a truck.
Kirk and staff at AMS are honest people in a tough business. I got a great deal on a salvage title car a couple of years ago from AMS. It had a few minor problems but I fixed them and went on with my life. I was happy with my purchase and would not hesitate to buy another car from Kirk in a heartbeat. He always returned my calls and was truthful with me. Mine was an out of state purchase. I’ve never been to AMS or had the pleasure of meeting Kirk or any of his people but I hope they’re doing well and wish them the best. Did this guy, Alan, who paid $30,000 for a $70,000 truck actually think there wasn’t going to be anything wrong with it? I wonder what planet he comes from? It sounds like they returned his calls and tried to help him. I give Kirk and AMS the highest rating possible, at least 5 stars.
Thanks For taking the time to review our company. Mr Jones picked the Chevrolet in person and visually inspected, he also caem to our facility with a trailer that was not capable if hauling the vehicle, so we Kindly setup shipping for him free of charge.. I mailed him is title out to certified mail, I am disappointed he is not happy with his truck. Even though we sold the truck as is still wrecked, we did kindly offer to have one of our local shops help with the minor frame issue. Thanks For taking the time to read our reviews.
Got a great deal on a 2000 international reefer truck. Bought the truck sight unseen from a state 1000 miles away. Logistics getting truck back took a little time but I expected that . In the end I was very happy with my purchase. The truck was in excellent shape in every way just as described. I would buy again from. this dealership.
He sells Automobiles as having a Kentucky Rebuilt title, People do your research and enter the Vin Number at clearvin.com Any vehicle that is marked crushed can never be rebuilt not to mention ever being titled again for use on public roadways. Kirk knows this and yet still sells these non-roadworthy vehicles, he will lie and state you can in Kentucky. Please research your Vin Number then call your local DMV and give them the VIN and ask if it can ever be registered in your home state, trust me it will save you thousands. Kirk is nothing but a spinless Money hound and does not care one bit about you or the car he is selling.. only use clearvin.com it is the only one that reports to the National motor vehicle database, no others do. An investigation will be opened soon regarding Auburn Motor Sports
KIRK THE CROOK
Hello and thanks for taking the time to research our company.
Most of our vehicles are being sold with either a Ky salvage title or. Ky rebuilt title. We also tell our customers to check with there local dmv and make sure the vehicle can be licensed in there home state, that statement is also displayed in our ads. Any of our customers who have issues with getting there vehicle titled they call us and we help them get the issue resolved, we have helped hundreds of customers over the years get there vehicles titled in others states, so please don’t hesitate to call us with any issue you have. If you any questions or concerns please feel free to call us or stop by and we can help you with any title issues you may have. Thanks Auburndale Motorsports
I read some of the negative reviews and since I saw those, I felt compelled to write a review. I have to think that those buyers on ebay are professional scammers. I sell on ebay too and you will run into shady buyers every now and then. Sorry to see that a few ignorant people can make life miserable for honest businessmen and women.
I have bought three vehicles from this place. The cars are salvage title and are in excellent condition despite the type of title. All defects were disclosed before I purchased…and he even fixed something after I purchased…which is usually rare in the industry.
I bought a 2013 and a 2014 F-150. They are like new and better than anything I could find at a dealership that sells clean title cars and trucks or through private sellers. The best buy so far is a 2016 F-150 XLT 4×4 FX-4 offroad. The truck is top of the line and I was able to get it for 50% less than high NADA.
My advice to anyone interested in buying from Auburndale Motor Sports or http://www.hotwrecks.com is that it is definitely worth the risk. If you don’t feel like possibly fixing a few things, then go overpay (way overpay) at another dealership. You can’t expect Kirk to know if a part is going to fail in the future -and to think otherwise is ludicrous.
These people are great to deal with and no pressure…no going back and forth with the sales manager wasting your entire day. You can be in and out with your new car in an hour. Prices are fair and everything delivered as promised.
Auburndale Motor Sports and Kirk do the best they can to give you best value possible…the best service at the lowest cost to the consumer…delivering a great product. That is all that you can ask for in my opinion.
I purchased a 2011 Cadillac CTS water damaged from Kirk had the car for over a year now. The vehicle runs and drives great, all functions work great. I will buy again from them super nice people.
I purchased a 2016 Ford Explorer water damaged from there, vehicle was as described, delivery was in a timely matter. The vehicle runs great, have had for 6 months with no issues. Very nice vehicle, I will buy again from them great people to deal with.
I bought a 2006 infiniit m35x with 80k on her….. it was exactly as pictured and better.. Paid $5600… put a rear bumper cover on it which I bought already painted on ebay…. still driving it today…. for you people out there that have buyers remorse… well sorry… then don’t buy salvage/wet/wrecked cars for 1/2 price and not expect some gremlins to pop up… for my experience it was 100% as I expected…
Kirk screwed me. Bought a mechanically sound Suburban from him. When it arrived the transmission was bad – while driving the transmission slips into neutral. Their were no dealer tags on the vehicle as promised and after 20 days I have yet to receive the title(I was told 14 days). I had it looked at and received a repair estimate for the transmission. After contacting Kirk he claims I am lying and getting the transmission shop to lie. He will not pay for the repairs. I left him negative feedback on Ebay and he responded by marking our transaction as unpaid. I sent in all the wiring documentation to Ebay to add to my fraud claim on him. Totally unethical and completely dishonest. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HIM!!! He is a con artist.
I purchased a 2016 Corvette Z06 with 6700 miles. The seller explained the extent to which it had been wet, what his examination had reveled and and that which he could not ascertain. I drove it locally for perhaps 40-50 miles, we negotiated a price and I drove it 200 miles home. We dismantled it to the extent needed and found essentially the damage he had advised we likely might. it boiled down to removing and cleaning the seat operating motors, replacing one module and drying the carpet, carpet padding and re assembling. I have owned it 8 months, had no other issues and feel it was a properly represented bargain.
It is unreasonable to expect the seller of salvage vehicles to know everything about any damaged car he buys and sells. there are too many variables. That why you shouldn’t but salvage vehicles unless you accept that the seller can’t know everything and that you are qualified to sort out any issue that arises from a very complex modern vehicle.
Based on my one experience, I would certainly buy from Auburndale Motorsports again.
BTW, No financing was involved, therefore no value given.

it seems like if you buy a flood damage car you should know that your going to run into problems like that, why would you buy something like that if you can’t work on it yourself ???? flood damage is always a crap shoot and it could go on for years as connection corrode, do your homework, I did buy a wreck from kirk, I did go look at it so I knew what I was getting into, I did the work myself. if you can’t do the work yourself this might not be the thing for you….
I bought a Chevy Silverado truck from Kirk back in May 2017. When buying the truck Kirk told me that all the interior functions were working fine and that he will help me get the truck shipped to me fairly quickly and at a very reasonable rate.
After he received the payment, he stopped picking up my calls and would rarely reply back to me saying he is out on vacations. Long story short, I finally realized that he is not going to ship the truck. I arranged my own driver. When he went there Kirk refused to load the truck and told him that it was not ready. We were never told that there was any problems with the truck. I had to pay the driver $200 for nothing
He told the driver that the truck is going to be ready in 2 days, I kept calling him and he kept ignoring my calls and messages. After a gruesome 3 weeks, I finally got a hold of him and he confirmed that the truck was ready. The driver even called him before going there again and guess what, the same story all over again. This time the driver waited there for almost 8 hours and finally at around 12 AM Kirk asked him to come and pick up the truck. The battery was dead so the driver had to jump start it. When I got the truck after 2 months of making the payment. the batter was dead, I changed the battery just to find out that all of the interior functions were dead. When I confronted him, he said that everything was working before and he had pictures to prove that, after chasing him again for a week, he sent me an email with pictures of a different vehicle.
I took the truck to a workshop and they told me that the Radio screen, Cluster, power seat, Airconditoning, locks all are blown and I would have to replace them. They gave me a $3500 quote. I messaged Kirk. He said he was going to send me a radio screen, HVAC and HMI module. It has been a week since then and I have not heard anything back from him. As usual he doesn’t reply back to my messages. The truck has been in the workshop for almost 3 weeks now. I am now going to order the parts myself and add it to the claim on the Lawsuit that we are filling against him.
I also had issues getting the title from him. Just got it 2 weeks ago. He promised hat he will get the truck inspected which he never did and still sent me a salvage title. The title says the odometer status is not certified, which means that the cluster screen that shows the reading was not working.
I have met some other people online who have had the same sort of problems with him and we are all filling a joint Lawsuit against him. If there is anyone out there who would like to be a part of this lawsuit, please email me.
I am even going to report him to Ebay as well. He puts these cars there, then rarely sells them to the actual winners and contacts all the other bidders to sell these cars outside of ebay.
Hello and thanks for taking the time to review our dealership. This customer did buy a Chevy Silverado water damaged, salvage title truck from us. At the time of listing on Ebay all interior functions were working accordingly and truck started correctly, when trucking company came to pick vehicle up truck would not start Bcm, had went bad so we ordered new one and had the truck fixed and shipped the vehicle out. When customer received the vehicle screen would not light along with dash, his mechanic inspected vehicle and there were more modules in the inside of the vehicle that went bad. Even though we sold the vehicle as is water damaged we shipped him the modules out usps. So we helped customer with issue even though truck was purchased as is water damaged and they still want to disrespect our company. We try to do the best we can to keep our customers happy, but some people want brand new cars for half price and when something goes wrong they need to blame someone, even though they new it was a water damaged vehicle purchased as is.
Your lies are not going to take you anywhere. I have your email that you sent me with the pictures of a different truck and all the text messages you sent me. You are just a compulsive liar. Good thing I have everything documented. We will not let you get away with this.
By the way, my mechanic checked the BCM and he says that it was never changed. You are just making up more lies.
NOTICE: HOW A POSITIVE COMMENT CAME IN AT THE SAME TIME HE REPLIED TO MY REVIEW. I HAVE EVEN MORE EVIDENCE NOW THAT YOU ARE JUST A CON ARTIST TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF.
I WILL HAVE MY LAWYER PRESENT THESE AS EVIDENCE AS WELL.
Alex, and whoever else conned by Kirk interested, would you like to put together our resources to sue Kirk? He is a big con artist who needs to pay reparations to all of his cheated customers and spend time behind bars.
I have already hired a lawyer. Please contact me at [email protected] so we can add more people who have suffered financial loss because of this fraudster.
I have also reached out to cardealercheck.com to see if the last review posted by Marko is real or fake. He is supposedly a customer of his, but his review was pointed towards towards me. I am pretty sure they will be able to identify through IP if it was fake and if it is, that is a crime in itself.
Alex, I will contact you. Thank you. Marko posted positive reviews before, immediately following a negative response. Kirk also places fake bids on eBay to outbid real bidders. He also sends fake invoices showing lower purchase prices to cheat on taxes. Please make your lawyer aware of all this as well. Did you also contact your State’s Attorney?
oh I am a real person and I am not a friend of kirks, I did buy a wrecked Harley from him and I knew what I was getting into. fixing wrecks can be a terrible experience cause there is a lot of things you don’t see , I bought a scion from an individual that I had to pull the motor cause some of the front was tweaked, I just didn’t see it, it was my fault and part of it… that is why you get it a lot cheaper than one that doesn’t need work…if you are a weekend mechanic a salvage vehicle is not for you cause it could end up costing you a lot more
Hi Radu,
Thanks for the additional feedback. I just spoke to my lawyer and gave him all this information as well.
We are putting together a file with all evidence and communication we have had with him. My lawyer is going to send a copy of it to the Attorney General and the Motor Vehicle Authority in KY as well.
Bid and won truck on ebay Paid for truck 3 days certified check. Kirk delivered truck within days
March 10, 2017 10 weeks later still no salvage title….Kirk never acquired any title Title search stated it was parts car from copart…..he acquired He stated Flood damage, research stated frame damage….Do believe he is washing titles to different vehicles and money laundering title to different vehicles and when cornered into legal procedings, refunds money and then relists vehicle saying 8 weeks wait for title. Don’t be fooled by this Guy….
Ebay is enabling these corrupt folks as their policy clearly states vehicles must have a title to be sold on ebay. I have bought several vehicles on ebay…in past years NO MORE
I notified the FBI of the whole situation with fact in writing for Interstate Fraud
Hello, and thank you,for taking time to read our reviews. This comment is absurd and totally false. When this customer purchased vehicle a 2010,f150 we notified her that title was in ky application stage would be 4to8 weeks. On the very day of the 8th week this customer called us upset because she did not have title yet. So I told her I would refund money and her shipping, I wired her refund back and paid for her shipping, two days later the ky salvage title came in, I then relisted truck and sold the vehicle. I have copy of title registration and all postal receipts. So we take care of our customer give full refund plus shipping and still complains. We do the best we can. Thanks for taking time to,check us out.
Kirk you need to call me immediately as this sound like exactly what is happening to me, and I don’t appreciate the cold shoulder. I’ve been calling you 5 times per day, to get my title issues resolved.
Scott Cathey
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our reviews.
We apologize for not being able to answer the phone for the last 7 days, we have been closed for vacation so the owners and the employee’s could have time with there family’s. Please feel try to contact us again we are back open for business, truly sorry for the delay. Thanks
I purchased a nice ford truck….Spent some money on it , but that was expected…It runs and drives great…Beautiful truck….Everything as described….Would buy again—
I have bought a few cars from Kirk, everyone needs to keep in mind that these are salvage cars – trucks, you might have to spend some money.
At the end you can have a nice car at a super price.
If you’ve never bought a salvage car before then don’t be supersized.
I would rather buy one this way than one from a used dealer that has covered up all the issues
.. “LIKE MUSHROOMS AFTER A RAIN”, THE POSITIVE COMMENTS COME OUT AMAZINGLY QUICKLY ON HERE AFTER A NEGATIVE REVIEW. .. CHECK OUT THE BBB HERE IN LOUISVILLE, KY ON AUBURNDALE MOTORSPORTS. YOU WILL FIND A VERY, VERY INTERESTING PATTERN IN HIS RESPONSES TO COMPLAINTS. HIS RATING IS A D+ AND HE IS “NOT” A BBB (BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU) MEMBER, EITHER.
“Supersized”!? .. hahaha!
Well, Looks like Kirk is seeing the light now! That is a good start. He has changed some of the wording on his Ebay listings now to “try and conform” to more proper selling standards. Not a bad start. I hope he keeps it up. Maybe things will improve now. For those folks out there that feel duped by Kirk, the proper thing to do is file a complaint with the Ky Motor Vehicle Commission located in Frankfort Ky. I didn’t even purchase a vehicle from him, didn’t even go look at it. I certainly DID NOT appreciate him coming in here and MAKING UP A LIE to try and make me look bad. I hate Liars. Perhaps he will change his ways. Who knows. Remember, and HONARABLE man is a REAL man. The end.
sorry about the typos .. “An HONORABLE man is a REAL man”.
WOW! Now, all of a sudden Kirk is really mixing things up at his 7114southsidedr listings on Ebay. He has apparantly been paying attention in here! .. He has a few with reserves, a few without reserves, and the wording on his disclosures on his listings is basically a hodge-podge .. so to speak. There are several different versions currently. The one I find the most interesting currently is the one that states, and I quote from one of Kirk’s listings currently is”We are not liable for any items that quit working during or after the auction. Kinda’ puts the potential buyers in a really bad position, in my opinion. Personally, I don’t think that would hold water in a pool with a huge leak in it. I think Kirk needs to get REAL.
.. Oh, and also a few private listings, too. AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! I hate LIARS! I believe he has now seen the light. I wouldn’t want to be like him. I doubt you would, either. Kinda’ sad. I wouldn’t buy a car from him. NO WAY.
My God, peoples! If you want to buy a salvaged title vehicle, just do yourself a favor and go to Copart online. Chances are there is an auction near you. This is where HE purchases some of his vehicles. You DON’T have to be a dealer in order to purchase there, either. You just need to go online, sign up, and give them a copy of your driver’s license. Have a great weekend!
The problem is that Kirk lies about the repairs the he does, or does not do, more precisely, even when absolutely directly asked if he fixed/replaced a particular item. His customers, thus, are falsely assured that they are buying road-worthy vehicles, when in fact they are buying wrecks at the prices of road-worth vehicles. His business is fundamentally based on fraud. He is a crook, a criminal. Lock him up!

KIRK CUMMINGS FOR PRESIDENT!!! .. LOL. HAPPY DERBY EVE, EVERYONE.
I bought a motorcycle from Kirk, he was honest and reasonable
Peoples~ Just for the record .. quote “NOTE-Vehicles that have a salvage title cannot be operated on Kentucky highways. This is why the license plate must be surrendered to the county clerk. The only time a vehicle with a salvage title may be operated upon the highways of Kentucky is when it is in route to or from an inspection by the sheriff’s department during the rebuilt process. .. I wonder how many “test drives” on Ky highways have been done on his salvaged titled vehicles? .. Hmmmmmmm. .. I don’t think it will be too long before we all find out. Happy Sunday!
ANYONE who would like to file a complaint on Auburndale Motorsports, aka Hotwrecks.com or their sales at 7114southside dr (Ebay name) .. The right step to take is to call the Ky Motor Vehicle Commission in Frankfort, Ky. Their phone number is (502) 573-1000. I assure you they WILL help you. Good luck, folks.
p.s. It does not matter what state you are in. THIS IS THE COMMISSION FOR THIS MATTER.
There is no doubt that Kirk is a crook. He cons people out of their money for his wrecks that are grossly improperly repaired and misrepresented. I never had to deal with another more dishonest dealer who could lie in such a criminal way like Kirk. In addition to lying about the degree of butchery that he practices in “fixing” the cars sold by him, he also uses fake profiles of himself or friends and family to enter fake bids on eBay, driving auction prices artificially up. He also uses fake profiles of himself or friends and family to enter positive reviews here, on cardealercheck.com. I hope that this guy lands in jail. I hope that the KY State Attorney and Motor Vehicle Commission puts him away, thus protecting the public from his wretched criminality. If anybody reading this review is interested in getting a “class action” lawsuit against this miserable criminal, please contact me. My phone number is 203-361-4037. Thank you.
Buying Wrecks, Salvaged Vehicles, Beware!

I have been retired from the auto collision repair business for nearly 18 years. I used to buy wrecks and repair them, then sell them to the general public, in the early years, through newspaper ads or out in front of the house with a sign, I was out of the business by the time I became proficient enough on a computer to post an online ad or Ebay auction. I’ve built and sold about every car you can imagine since I was 14 years old. My first was a 1962 T-Bird.
I left the industry to become an insurance adjuster and eventually into a supervisory position, where I learned much about vehicle values. and, equally important, salvage values. As a former builder of these crashed vehicles, I’d say, you have 3 jobs. First you have to find a rebuildable car that you can purchase economically so as to make a profit. That’s a tall order, even if you have very good collision estimating skills. If not, your’e playing Russian roulette with your finances and chances are, your going to lose.
Secondly, you must have the facilities, the knowledge and the ability to restore the vehicle as close to it’s pre-accident condition as possible. I spent a quarter of a lifetime learning exactly what that was, let alone being able to do it. It was easier way back then but, you see, today’s buyer is no fool, he will buy a salvaged vehicle if…..he cannot find evidence of prior damage and……you guessed it, he can buy it right.
Third, you have to market it and hopefully sell it before next quarter’s Kelley blue book or NADA guide comes out and value drops another 10%-15%. Another one that will bite you in the butt is, if you built a real popular model, many of those that were leased will be back on used car lots in 2-3 years, adding to your competition so, yours better be sold by then. This third task could be as hard as step 2, if not harder.
Now here’s the education I’m imparting on to you. If an insurer totals out a vehicle, it’s because they have written a thorough estimate and determined that repairing it is not economically feasible. The cost of parts and labor to fix it, on a retail level, is not going to be cost effective and they have opted to purchase the car outright from the insured at pre-accident fair market value.
Depending on the state, they will be required to wash out the title and never allow it back on the road or, you will have to sell it with a salvaged bill of sale, the DMV will stamp “SALVAGED” on the title next time it’s registered and tagged. I don’t know where these clear title wrecks are coming from, except maybe rental car companies or bank repo’s but, I’d use the same formulas for these anyway, you might get a few more bucks for these without salvaged titles but, not enough to say,…. pay for a set of airbags or a dash including installation.
The salvaged vehicle being bought from the insured, becomes the property of the insurer who in turn sells it to a salvage company. Most insurer’s have agreements already worked out with these salvage yards and unless the car is burned to the ground, they receive between 20-25% on the vehicles fair market value, back as a return. Insurer’s are happy to get it and it takes care of disposal as well. Not bad, they pay off a claim for 75%-80% of what they owe.
Although there is many more details to these agreements, this is the short version, I used to be the guy negotiating these agreements on behalf of the insurance company, that’s how I know.
So, on a $20,000 vehicle, the salvage company is in to it between $4-$5000 and they have done nothing but pick it up and bring it to their yard. Or rather, their driver did.
The insurer owes for, and pays the first towing and storage, from the accident site to Joe Blows Towing Inc or Fender Bender Autobody. What they call the advanced charges paid by the salvor to get the car released. So this is a non-issue.
So, you look here on Ebay for a good builder, you find one that looks good and the description sounds great and you decide to bid. Well most of the ones I’ve seen have a buy it now price that is somewhere around 50%-60% of retail value and a starting bid a few hundred less. So the competition starts there. Other’s are there too, that have no BIN price but most of what I’ve seen, have a starting bid so high, you couldn’t make a profit on it unless you had another car just like it in your yard that you could strip every part you’ll need to finish the project, and you got that parts car for free or close to it.
If you buy this one, the salvor is going to make 20-25% of the resale value right off the top and he won’t even touch a wrench to it. Further, his mark up will be 100% to 120% on his original investment and guess what, he hasn’t even touched it, his driver picked it up and put it in the yard. That is likely 7-10 times more than you will make if you buy it, build it and then sell it, if you ‘ve done your homework.
Assuming you are even going to make a profit, if you physically inspected the vehicle and you checked everything, body damage, frame, mechanical, interior, trim, painting and wrote an estimate so tight that you were certain there would be no surprises like, a crack inside the dash where the air bag mounts, or a $400-$900 airbag relay you have to buy at the end of the job to get airbags to arm and the light to go out. You’re on a tight budget, you can’t afford any surprises or you are instantly in the red and all your investment and good efforts are for nothing. You won’t even make wages, forget about profit.
You are still looking at having to complete this step, parts, labor, paint materials, refinishing and incidentals all the way to completion, for less than 50% of it’s market value, thats $10,000 on a $20,000 vehicle, remember your profit is in that same $10K too, (if you get market value for the vehicle when it’s done). As is your cost to sell such as advertisements, discount to move it because it has a salvage title, etc, etc, etc.
The moral of the story is, let the salvor keep these cars and part them out. Let them sit on these parts buggies until they become absolete if necessary, let them take the gamble. If they want to just flip them, let them lower these outragous prices. I believe they deserve to make a profit but, they can’t expect us to build it for free or at a loss either. The salvor knows what it takes to build them, he builds them too. At best, you are only going to get the ones he doesn’t want to build anyway so, buy low or not at all. You will be wasting your time, money and your labor.
I’d say, these are worth no more than, 25% FMV plus a maximum of $1000 for their troubles otherwise leave them sit. Even at this price, you will have to be very careful to realize a profit. This may at least get them off ebay where they compete with other individual’s trying to sell their used cars. Then we can work on getting these dealer’s prices and practices in line, or out of here too.
I hope this has been enlightening and I wish you the best.

The article was from 2007. Has some good info. Now we are in 2017. On Ebay you will notice a whole lot of the time the starting prices are super low with no reserve. That in itself should make you leary. In addition, many sellers that do this are now changing their listings to “Private:”. That should tell you the rest.
I purchased a 2015 Mazda 6 from them over the Christmas holidays. They shipped it here to Southern California. I bought it sight unseen on an ebay auction so I didn’t really know what to expect. When I saw the car I was pleasantly surprised. I received an almost brand new car with a few minor problems that had already been explained to me. Kirk Cummins and his team at Auburndale Motor Sports are honest, hard working, professional people in a very tough business. Every phone call, text, or email I sent was responded to promptly. Even over the holidays and even when Kirk’s wife was in the hospital. I would highly recommend purchasing from Aurburndale Motor Sports. I would purchase there again without hesitation. This review only allows me to give 5 stars. That’s not nearly enough. I would like to take this opportunity to give them a few more. ********************************************************************************
********************. That’s an even hundred. Thanks Kirk. It was a pleasure doing business with you and your team.

Kirk and his guys make buying a car simple. He goes above & beyond to make sure you walk away happy. Will recommend to friends/family as well as use again.
Hello Purchased a damaged 2014 Ford focus from Kirk on Ebay car was delivered to me, the car was in exact condition as described will buy again from Auburndale Motorsports.
Bought a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette that was listed as running fine with no engine damage. The truth is the entire engine is garbage, the heads are gouged, valves damaged, cylinder walls cracked… Funny thing is that someone took it apart and put brand new parts into the bad block so the engine would start and appear to be functional to prospective buyers. The truth was blatantly and purposely concealed so Kurt could make a buck. Worst dealer I have ever dealt with. SCAMMER! I’m now suing him for dealer fraud. If something similar has happened to you I suggest you do the same. Together we can get his Kentucky dealers license suspended.
Thanks for taking the time to check out Auburndale Motorsports. Being a family owned business since 1954, we have always focused on good customer service. Mr Eaton did purchase a wrecked salvage title 2013 Chevrolet Corvette from us damaged AS IS, EBAY item #201451596133. He also picked the car up from us in person. On Sunday November 29 @ 8:00 pm, we received a message from Mr Eaton that the Corvette had internal engine damage caused from the accident. Our next message back to him was at 8:09pm, notifying Mr. Eaton to bring the car back in the same condition as when it was purchased and we would not only give him 100% refund, but would also reimburse him for his fuel. Mr. Eaton refused and demanded to keep the car but wanted us to give him back $2,000 dollars. We stand by our products and feel that if the car was not what we described, we would make it right. As a reputable Ky Dealer, we attempted to work with Mr. Eaton on several options to get a favorable outcome.
Thats not true. Kirk is a piece of shit lowlife that did this 100% with the intent to mislead potential buyers!
What kind of person puts a new piston (with rods on backwards) in a broken block still completely full of huge chunks of metal, oil mixed with water because of the damage to the block, and replaces the intake manifold and throttle body and then represents the car to buyers across the nation (eBay Motors) as running fine and undamaged?!
The only reason he offered to take the car back is because he knew that was not a possible resolution. $2000 for this type of intentional dealer fraud is far less than what your going to pay now.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SCUM AND HIS SHADY BUSINESS!
I totally agree with one of the previous reviews calling Kirk nothing but a low-life scum bag. He is a con artist that I hope someday will get arrested for the countless number of times he defrauded his customers. I hope that more and more of his customers find this site and come forward with their, I am sure, horrific experiences.
Most of the positive reviews posted here are most likely fake. It is impossible that coincidentally a slew of his presupposed customers decide to post instantaneously positive write-ups as soon as a real customer posts a negative review. Please double-check the time stamps of the positive reviews, all showing up, like mushrooms after rain, within days or even hours of a negative review being posted.
Here are the things that Kirk lied about the car sold to us. He falsely claimed, in writing that the status of the title is clean, where in fact the status was salvage. He lied in writing that no warning lights were lit in the dashboard, where in fact there so many, unfortunately all related to expensive parts, including several of the computers, safety belts, and airbags of the car, that he never changed or installed properly following the accident the sold car was involved in. He did not even disclose the accident, initially; he admitted to it, only after being confronted about it. We had to spend about $19500, in expensive parts imported directly from Sweden and expert hours commissioned directly from Sweden, on top of the selling price of about $20000 and have the car in the shop for about two years to put together the wreck he sold to us. We had to do it because we got stuck with a SAAB that nobody would have bought in the condition Kirk sold it to us. And still, the car having a salvaged title now, we can’t say that everything is right with the car.
Also, very importantly to Attorney General offices, that I hope somehow read this writing, he issued his invoice showing a lower selling price to defraud the State on taxes. Because he sold out-of-state, I hope that his offense is Federal, actually.
If anybody is interested in contacting me to start a group-action criminal and civil lawsuit against this crook, please call me at two zero three – three six one- four zero three seven. Thank you!
Sorry you had a different experience but my review is legit. I bought my Lincoln from him, he was great. Did as promised and I love the car.
Hi. Feel free to contact me via email at your earliest convenience. In the last week or so I was able to figure out what Kirk Cummings does and how he does it. Weird thing is .. I live right around the corner from the business. Luckily, I found it out before I even considered buying a vehicle from him. People never seem to amaze me anymore. So far, I have contacted my state Attorney General office, Ebay (LOL), and “luckily” finally got referred to our state motor vehicle commission from talking to my local prosecuting attorney’s office. I feel I can be of some help to you, so please do yourself a huge favor and email me with a name and phone and a good time to reach you. I hate crooks.
Hello this lady does live write around the corner from us, she was interested in purchasing a 2015 Jeep Patriot we had listed on ebay and on our website. She has never purchased a vehicle from us. The Jeep originally sold on ebay for a set price, when the winning bidder came to pick the jeep up it had a few underlying issues and the customer ended up not buying the jeep. We had to make $1,200 dollars worth of repairs to the vehicle. When the lady called us about purchasing the vehicle, we gave her a price, it was $1,200 more then what it sold on ebay, because I had to invest the repairs into the vehicle, she was upset and said if it sold on ebay once for that price you should sell it to me for that, I declined, she has been calling my shop and personal cell phones and accusing of stuff that is not true simply because she can not get the Jeep for the price she wants to pay. We are a family owned business been here since 1954, we strive to keep all of our customers happy. We even go out the way and do things alot of times we are not obligated to do. We have over 900 positive rating on ebay and have a great reputation with our customers. Please feel free to stop by and anytime and meet us in person. Thanks Management.
Kirk, someday you will see the wrong in your ways. Remember, an honorable man is a REAL MAN. You crack me up.You gave me a price of $5900 .. and then raised the price to $6400 when it was finally available to see. I knew right then to run. You never even disclosed to me all those repairs you had to make, thus increasing your price. In fact, last I knew you were going to drive it to your business at 7114 southside dr louisville ky 40214 the following day for me to look at. You were going to call me so I could come over and check it out. That never happened! At least now I know why .. because as you just stated, it had to have $1200.00 in repairs first. lol. Actually, my antenna was already up when you didn’t call. That is when I figured out the rest of what you are about. I thank God I did.You screamed and yelled at me me last Sunday on the phone. I felt like I was talking to a mad man. I guess it would be hard to be in your shoes with all the heat coming down on you these days. Live and learn, people. Live and learn. Have a great day! I am! .. I have zero interest in what Kirk Cummings has to sell. BUYERS BEWARE!
WOW! .. Kirk must be constantly watching the internet for people like me who tell it like it is when it comes to his selling practices. Hmmmmm .. I am now certain that I was correct about him.
.. Just for the record, I NEVER TRIED TO GET THE VEHICLE FOR THE EBAY SOLD PRICE .. WHICH WAS $5300. What happened is I checked him out and found it listed on his Hotwrecks.com website. It was listed there for $8995. Then I checked his 7114southsidedr Ebay seller name for ended auctions in the past 2 wks. There it showed it SOLD for $5300. He offered it to me for $5900 when I spoke to him on the phone and at that time he DID NOT know I had already seen the completed sell listing on Ebay. I was quite willing to take a look at it at the $5900 price he told me .. but things just didn’t add up in the end. I really didn’t think they would. All of a sudden the vehicle was not available to view .. and Kirk told on himself on here just a while ago. He stated it was getting $1200 in work done to it. NO WONDER HE RAISED THE PRICE ON ME TO $6400 WHEN IT WAS FINALLY AVAILABLE TO VIEW. STILL SHAKING MY HEAD. LOL. Our conversation was about a sale price of $5900. GO FIGURE. LOL.
.. Interesting happening yesterday. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE LISTING VANISHED ON HOTWRECKS.COM .. right after I spoke to his father (Rusty) on the phone at their location at 7114 Southside Dr. WHAT KIRK AND HIS DAD DON’T REALIZE IS THAT THIS WAS ANTICIPATED TO HAPPEN. THEY ARE BEING INVESTIGATED. YOU CAN’T HIDE. THE JUSTICE SYSTEM WILL CATCH UP WITH YOU AND I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO ASSIST IN ANY WAY I CAN AND I AM. I HATE CROOKS.
Hey, Kirk .. If they “STOP BY ANYTIME” .. they will find out the REAL TRUTH .. that the vast majority of your vehicles for sale are not there. Folks, i pass by there nearly every day, sometimes a few times a day when i go out shopping, banking, etc. .. The vast majority are located in a warehouse down in Brooks, Ky. and NOT at 7114 southside dr louisville, Ky 40214. That is where they “CLEAN THEM UP AND WORK ON THEM”. .. They don’t give you that address. I know where it is and so do the authorities now.
Ok, ok. I am almost finished .. I INQUIRED LAST WEEK ABOUT SEVERAL VEHICLES KIRK HAS LISTED ON HOTWRECKS.COM .. Funny thing, ONLY 1 WAS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SALE. I doubted that, either. LOL. .. GET MY DRIFT, PEOPLES? I certainly hope so. I have to go now. It’s Derby Eve and I have places to go and people to see. Bye now.
Just for the record, here in the state of Ky you don’t even need a Dealer’s license to sell SALVAGE vehicles. Truth. Please people, don’t EVER rely on what someone tells you about a vehicle THEY are selling. Trust, but Verify is my motto. It is much easier to do that when you are considering a vehicle in your area. Long distance is veeeeery hard!
Purchased a Dodge viper from Kirk. The car was exactly as described. The car was shipped to me in New york with 5 days and I have the title in 3 days. Very nice person to deal with straight shooter. Disclosed every damaged area on the car great.
Well pleased with salesman. The vehicle was just as described. Have been well pleased with the car. Have had no issues or concerns.
I purchased a 2002 ford Taurus with 87000 miles. Few months after purchase I had issue with transmission.took it back to Kirk he fixed problem no charge. Will buy from him again.
I purchased two vehicle from Kirk. A mercury and a dodge truck. We wired him the money the vehicles were delivered two days later. Great person to deal with.Would buy from again.Vehicles were as promised
Hello we purchased a 2009 Dodge Viper from kirk over the internet from kirk and the car was as described, title was sent to us in two days. Very great person to deal with. Car was better than described. Would by from again.
Kirk Cummings is the lowest character one will ever have the misfortune to meet. He is nothing bu a con artist snake. He lies blatantly about thousands of dollars worth of technical defects and nature of legal documents of his vehicles. He also commits sales tax fraud. State Attorneys, please take notice!
He clearly assured me that the dashboard displayed no warning messages after asking him, not once, twice, but exactly six times. He assured me that the car was fixed properly. I received the car and the airbags in the car belonged to another car and were non-operational. The seat belts were frozen as their safety mechanisms were blown. The headlights were incorrect for the car and nonoperational. The wheels were stripped of paint. His explanation to all these idiosyncrasies between his false advertisement and reality is that the transporter shuck the car so violently that the restraint systems activated.
Kirk lied about the type of title offered with the car. He claims to have a clean title. My DMV discovers that the car was declared a total loss and that in fact the title offered with the car is a changed version of a salvage title.
He also issues false bills of sales in order to be able to commit sales tax fraud.
Between the undisclosed damages and defects and the bad title, he caused me an unfathomable financial loss. If anybody else was conned by this low-life of a crook, please post comments on the Internet so that we could stop this guy from damaging financially other hard-working people. I am sure that he committed fraud all over the United States.
Thanks for taking the time to check us out. This comment is not true at all. We disclosed that the vehicle was wrecked and repaired, all the parts were ordered new from bluegrass audi By the vin number that came off the car. When the car left our location is was in good working condition. The customer received the car from the shipper and he said there were some issues. We did not even hesitate and said bring the car back will we be glad to fix any issues on the car no charge, the customer refused then called once saying it had $900.00 dollars and repair bills we then said ok we will send you a check for the cost then days later he called wanting $3,000 dollars back for repairs at this point he entire deal was starting to sound fishy, so we simply said being it back we will be glad to repair the vehicle we are not sending anymore refunds but he refused to bring the car back. The car was sold with a clear title and that is what he received, the carfax did have a insurance claim on it but he was aware of that. We tried to make customer happy but some times there is not a win win situation. Thanks for checking out Auburndale Motorsports reviews have a great day.
I bought a wrecked harley from them at a good price and did everything he said he would do. Would buy again
Purchased a SUV. Emailed Kirk and was told title was clean-no salvage. Few weeks later had numerous issues, i.e. sensors, electrical wiring. SUV had some type of aftermarket device added on for extra mpg?? Car had a reading of 10,200 miles. Also internet pics did not show all damaged areas of the SUV. Kirk did take off additional 500.00 which did not cover the repair cost for the dent in the rear hatch. Took car to dealer they replaced sensors, repaired tampered wiring, etc. Found out the SUV actual mileage was not 10,200 but 204000. When I made the purchase the title was not available and it was going to be mailed to me which I did receive. When I received the title it was checked mileage not actual and it was on the bill of sale but my God 204000 instead of 10,200 what a HUGE difference. I take some blame because I didn’t do a car fax.
Please make sure you research before you buy from this dealer
Thank you for taking time to check us out. This vehicle was stated on our website not actual miles. I told the buyer in person not actual mile, That was stated on the bill of sale and on the title. There was some damage to the rear, that the buyer could not see in the pictures, we located a new take off rear bumper cover only 30 minutes from his house in color for $250.00. We refunded him $500.00 enough for the part and labor to install it. I do not see were we are the wrong here I disclosed the details about the vehicle, and we come to terms in person on the damaged on the rear of the vehicle. Thanks and have a great day.
