While my 2006 super crew F-150 FX4 was getting repairs at Tri County Ford in Radcliff, KY. the truck caught fire due to some type of welding that was being done. Tri County first gave me the options of putting me in another truck or repairing mine. After I chose to have them replace it, they found out that I had just bought the truck. There exact words were “we don’t feel like eating 8 grand”. They were referring to the negative equity that comes with a newly purchased vehicle. And instead of paying for there mistake Tri County decided to attempt repair. After 6 months of them working on it, Tri County Ford gave my truck back in such a bad condition that it had to go straight into another shop just to make it safe to drive. I could write a book on the list of issues the truck still had and remains to have today. 09-March-2009 will be a year since the truck was in there position. At the very most I have been able to drive my truck for 2 months straight without having to take it in for something Tri County Ford failed to repair, repaired improperly, or didn’t repair at all. And today, 20-Feb-2009, it is sitting at another dealership with a 2100 dollar bill attached to it for the transmission failing due to lack of fluid. I would strongly encourage anyone to drive the extra 10-15 min. to work with someone else when it comes to a Ford dealership. Hope this helps someone!!
while my truck was at tri county for repairs the collision center caught it on fire. they first said they were going to make it right and put me in another truck. but when they found out that i had just bought the truck a month before tri county changed there minds. six months later i finally got my truck back. it had to go strait to another dealership to get further repairs. it has been in and out of shops since. right now it is at another dealership with a 2100 bill attached to it because it broke down again. i have had the truck for 13 months now and only had it to drive for 4 months.
