When I showed interest in one car the car salesman took me on into one of the offices to go over my information and then went to the manager to find out what my payments would be. I had told him I had a car for trade in also I could put $1,500 with it. He hadn’t bothered to offer to let me test drive the car or tell me how much the car was. I had told him right from the start I could only afford $8,000 on the car and wanted my payments to be no higher than $200. Well, he comes back in to show me that my monthly payments would be $263 for 60 months and still didn’t tell how much the car was. I informed of that and he said the car was $11,000. I got upset and said I told you I couldn’t afford that much and that you hadn’t even bothered to let me test drive the car. He asked if I wanted to go back out and look at it. Can you believe he still didn’t offer to let me test drive the car? What a salesman. He wanted to know what it would take to get me to get the car and I told him bring the car down to $9,000. He goes to talk to the manager again. Comes back in with the same paper and points at the 72 month payment plan where then my payments would be $212 a month. I told him that they didn’t even come down any on the car that they were just making my months longer. I then told him that I was leaving and that it would be best to let me leave. Of course he starts following me out and then goes to get the manager. I got in my car and of course the manager starts to come after me and I act like I don’t even see him. I would not go to Rivergate Kia! Stay far away!
The advertisment on TV is “If you have $149.00 and a job I can sell you a new car” Payments are shown as low as $99.00 a month. Even if you have bad credit or if your a first time buyer, I thought that it was a great deal so I came into Rivergate Kia to buy a car. The sells person did not seem eager to sell me a car, he told me my payments would be $300.00 to $500.00 a month. He did not offer to show me any cars. He DID NOT RUN A CREDIT CHECK FOR ME. I have been to FORD Dealers and they will not let you leave without selling you a car. I don’t know how this man knew what my monthly payments would be without running a CREDIT CHECK!!! I did not feel like he took me serious. I was very shocked by all of this, I don’t like to be pressured into buying a car but I would have like to seen some of the cars on the lot. Thankyou for listening.
