Oct 2013 a 2013 mustang was purchased used. March 8 , 2015 while wetting car to be washed. Paint came off. Bottom line. Not dents dings scratched etc.. To cause this then simple plain old water. Brought to another dealership to see if paint was defective. It wasn’t. Car had been repaired and repianted as told by this authorized dealer. Well no resolution has been made by tamiami ford and in process of obtaining a lawyer. Sending over documents to 2 firms presently. You decide for your self. Defective ford paint or dirt merchant.
As a female purchasing a new car for the first time I did my research before going into the dealer so I would know what a reasonable price was and be educated on what I wanted to purchase. As I grew up in a small town it has always been instilled in me to by local so I attempted to give Tamiami Ford Dealership a try on two occasions. The first attempt was when I was test driving cars and this was my last stop, needless to stay this was the worst experience of all the dealership I went to that day. I wasn’t greeted and proceeded to walk around the lot. Then I had to find a sales associate who opened the vehicle and began telling me about features that were not accurate and was not even offered a test drive.
After spending more time online getting the pricing I decided to call and see if Tamiami Ford could match or beat the price I received on Truecars.com and this is the point where things began to go extremely wrong. When I went in to talk about possible financing and discussed the price that I had been offered, without even researching he instructed me that he didn’t want my business at that price and I could go to the other dealer, but if it didn’t work out and I wanted the price he quoted me to come back and see him.
To add to my dissatisfaction, I was called two days later by him asking if I was still interested in the car and questions about why I would not buy from the local dealer.
