I went to this dealership on 14 March and was greeted by a very knowledgeable sales person on a Q7. However I was completely turned off by his derogatory comments on other brands such as Mercedes and his complete ignorance on comparing Audi to other brands. He actually insisted that the A8 was comparable to a Maibach. He also compared the new M class Mercedes to a Hyundai. When I disagreed he all but kicked me out of the dealership. I may purchase an Audi, but NOT from this Phil Long dealership. WOW! There are several good dealerships near Denver who I’m sure will appreciate my money! My only advice is “run away”. Don’t go Phil Long Audi! Oh yes, lest I forget. He priced his Q7 2000 dollars over MSRP. . . Because it was “impossible to buy anywhere else”. I have since found several others.
Salesman was veryb pushing and demanding thrughot the entire car buying process. He forced me into features I wouldn’t have ordinarily been interested in and it upset me a lot. I don’t think that I will be purchasing another vehicle here but the service departmet has a great record in my book
I received a 100 dollar gift card for audi marketing for discounting authentic audi parts when i had the install performed by the phil long store trained technician. Ok, so the battery is over priced at $165.00 (compared to a 30 month free replacement period versus audi’s 12 month/12 k mile warrenty on free replacement. Robert the service department manager told me the the reason I had to come there to his store was “the throttle had to be recalibrated”, and of course the radio code reset. But intersate battery,@ 4825 Northpark Dr, Colorado Springs · (719) 577-4548 plug in a device in your computer checker port that fakes the car in to thinking the battery is still there. I walked out at intersate in 15 minutes with a new battery with no install cost, not 50 minutes like audi said it would take paid 104.79 versus audios $90 flat rate install charge and $65 for the battery. Robert, the car started right up!@ interstate no flashing check engine light,& no throttle problems! It Ran just like I brought it in. I recommend Interstate over audio. Free install ,lower costing battery,2.5 times longer FREE replacement WARRENTY (30 months). Chris and Joey @ Interstate where GREAT. When I called John Johnson the STORE MANAGER @ PHIL LONG AUDI. His comment was “do u what me to take u off r mailing list”. Be a smarter consumer, like me! Check audi stories out and u will go else-where for ur vechile parts and labor, with dollars left in ur pocket book.
I took my A4 to Phil Long for the 55,000 service. Pat called back with a long list of needed repairs including struts and shocks replacement. I took the Audi to Prestige Imports for a second opinion as the car was not driving differently. The Prestige Imports (an Audi dealership) technicians reported that the struts and shocks did not need replacing. Service your Audi at a honest dealership even if it takes an hour to drive there.
I am sorry if you took it to another dealership that is uninformed. If you would like to see the recommendations from the manufacture of the struts that “suggest” they be replaced at 50,000 miles I would be glad to share the information with you as I have it on a website at work. Again, it was only a recommendation, we did not say that there was a failure in the struts. As far as the rest of the list of “needed” repairs. It is your right, and by all means we encourage getting second opinions on any work needed. We are an honest forthright dealership and would not be in business for as long as we have been if we were not so. I stand behind my 25 year career as a professional service advisor. I take each and every customers concern to heart. If you would like me to share some of this or other information with you, please call me or just stop in. I will gladly print out what the “professionals” suggest.

The salesman, Mick, was very straight forward. He went to management one time to come back with a fair asking price for the used Audi I purchased. The price was not great and was not bad; it was fair. He arranged to have the car cleaned and prepped for me. It was being “prepped” for a long time, but that was alright, for we waited on the finance guy for a very long time. Mick went back to check on progress at least a dozen times. Making the deal with Mick and taking the car for the test ride were good experiences, but finance took a very long time. I received an excellent interest rate through Audi, but the entire process still took about half a day. Bottom line: dealership is great, management is fair, finance department is good but extremely slow.
My service rep from Phil Long Audi, Ray Upp, walked around my car, took note of what I needed to get done to it, arranged to have the dealership’s shuttle take me to work, called me when the repairs were going to take longer than anticipated, waited for me to show up that same evening to pick up the Audi loaner car he had arranged for me even though he had to wait past his usual shift, and then returned the car to me the next day with all repairs completed and fully detailed. The dealership, itself, is well laid out and there are various complimentary coffee drinks available in the customer waiting area. This is the best service experience I have ever had; even better than Honda.
