It is hard to keep up with all of the world’s current events. Between floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, the killing of a terrorist leader, a royal wedding, and a tsunami, for better or worse, this world is a busy, intense place. That is why we are happy to bring you a simple, heartwarming story from the good people at Toyota.

I found a nice-looking, low mileage 2002 4Runner online at Motorcars. I live 8 hours from Cleveland. Salesman offered to inspect the vehicle. He provided favorable report based on personal inspection. I asked about problems with car. None reported.
I flew to Cleveland, bought the car and drove it home. Initial impression was good.
However, car failed to pass state inspection on multiple issues. Motorcars indicated that they sold the car as a parts vehicle. That’s not how it was advertised and priced. I explained I was buying for my daughter to drive. Motorcars has washed their hands of the car.
Maybe Motorcars is OK for local buyers who can have used cars inspected. I cannot recommend them as an Internet dealer because I assume that the dealership was aware of the problems but failed to communicate them.
