I walked into Leith Kia just to take a look at some of the models. I was immediately greeted by Larry Rodgers. He had a very calm demeanor and after maybe two minutes of speaking with him, I knew if I was going to come back and buy a Kia I would only deal with Larry. To make a long story short – I drove away that same afternoon in my new loaded Kia Soul. I love it and I really think Larry was the reason I felt so comfortable with the purchase. We’ve had only two problems with the Soul – each one only more odd than the other. Larry got right on things and all was taken care of. I must say his customer service skills and follow up were wonderful. When we buy the next Kia – it will be from Larry. Management should follow up with how he stayed in touch with us for over a year until our Granddaughter took my Hyundai and I was ready for a new Kia. We never forgot Larry because he was very memorable. Kudos to you Larry for the wonderful friendly and honest treatment throughout the entire process. It was a breeze… I feel like Larry is a friend more than the Salesperson who sold us our Soul… I hope 2012 is a prosperous one for Larry and the dealership…
Very sincerely, Lana Long
I took my I-290 to Leith for warranty repairs and NC state inspection on the 21st of April 2010. I had a door that would not open, an ABS fault and a check engine light. After they held the vehicle 2 days I was informed that parts had to be ordered, however we could drive the vehicle and that because it failed inspection due to ordered parts I was legal to drive the vehicle. I was also informed that I would be called when the parts arrived in 1 week. I checked in a week and found that not all of the parts had arrived and it would be another week. At the end of that week I called for 2 days and was told the parts were not in. On a Friday, the third day I called and was informed the parts HAD been there for 2 days, however only one (1) technician in their “State Of The Art” service facility was qualified to replace the ABS sensor and he was going on vacation for a week. I now was faced with expiring NC Registration. I went to register my vehicle with the state and was informed I could not because not only was the inspection expired but.. there was no record of an attempt to inspect the vehicle. In North Carolina all inspections are reported to DMV. So we waited for the “qualified tech” to get back from vacation and then dropped my vehicle off again on a Sunday, for service on Monday May 24. I received a call on Monday May 24th that my vehicle was “ready”. I had to pick it up after hours due to work secludes. When I picked up my vehicle I found a work order in it.. stating wrong parts had been ordered, and correct one were again ordered. Once again NO INSPECTION was made, nor was it listed on the work order. So.. after a month of dealing with Leith Volvo/Isuzu in Fayetteville NC I still have not managed to get warranty work done, and can not drive the vehicle. We have to depend on friends for rides to work, my wife and I work opposite and overlapping work schedules. We leave messages for the General Manager and the Service Manager, and they are NOT polite enough to return calls. Avoid this dealership at all cost. I would also like to mention that due to the treatment I received from them while purchasing my vehicle.. I decided to go out of town to make my purchase. That experience with them was just as bad. 😡 😡
The only reason I purchased from Leith Kia, was because of an online deal. We made our down payment through phone and e-mails only, which was great. However, we gave them two weeks notice before coming to Fayetteville, and they said the paperwork would be ready as soon as we got here. When we arrived, we realized they hadn’t even started any of the paperwork. We sat around for two days waiting for them to complete what they had two weeks to prepare to do. Needless to say, that delayed our plans of doing ANYTHING. The Suzuki was used, but they failed to even make any duplicate keys or even provide a manual for the car. IT’S A SUZUKI DEALERSHIP!!! These two items would have been easy for them to provide, but they were either too lazy, or just didn’t care because they already had the money. The whole point of us buying online was so that we could hit the ground running, but instead we waited and waited for them. We got a great deal, but I wouldn’t buy from them again due to customer service.
