We purchased a 2013 Corolla from Roesch Ford in Bensenville, Illinois on July 18th, 2016. We were assured that we would receive all necessary paperwork for registering the car and getting plates before 30 days. We did not. After hounding them, they sent us out another 35 day tag out for us very reluctantly. Shortly after that we received the paperwork but it was terribly wrong. The odometer reading on the title and the odometer statement did not match and were grossly off. So we sent all the paperwork back to Roesch Ford.
Needless to say today when I called to check on the paperwork ( 9 1/2 weeks from the purchase ) they had no idea when the correct papers would come. “Could be a week or a month or longer.” is the response. The state of Illinois had to back check and see were the problem of the odometer reading is. So another question, which is the correct reading? What exactly did we buy?
Needless to say we now have a car that sits in the driveway unable to be used ( we were not offered another 30 day tag and frankly not very sure the second one was legal ). Their response was ” not our problem “. We have asked many times over the last two plus months to return the vehicle since they cannot provide clear and clean title. Their response is either the management ignores your calls completely or ” not our problem” Their own contract and the law states if the purchased vehicle cannot be titled/registered within 30 days the vehicle is able to be returned.
Not a company I would recommend to anyone go to for anything. When we said we would just drop the vehicle off they throated to report the vehicle abandoned. They are definitely not one we would ever send anyone to. The only upside is the salesman we had. He has tried to help us through this entire mess. He has apologized multiple times. To bad the company he works for doesn’t have the same respect for customers or have his ethics.
We would just like to return the vehicle as allowed by law. Further action is being taken as we speak.
