Danny was nice, but the rest are losers. Infront of my kids one of the mgr’s walked by my kids and used the F-word, the other mgr would not give me my keys back. I bet this place will be out of Biz in no time. They suck, stay away, save time and money go to a good dealer
I needed a computer diagnosis done on my jeep so I called them up and was told they can do it for 90.00. I drop off my jeep the next morning and then start calling them around noon. Was told that it was in the bay and they could not get it to do the problem I discribed to them. I then asked about the computer diagnostic results and was told that they did not have a machine like that and that one didnt exist! I really did not want to the the kid behind the counter that I worked in a shop(2 actually) when I was in school and that my wife’s ford has been on one at the dealership up the street. I then go on a ride along with the mechanic and he tells me to replace a couple of parts, 225 dollars later and still having problems! The reason I wanted to spend the money on the diagnostic was to avoid throwing money at a problem and not getting it fixed. A diagnostic would have given me a ton of info and told me what I need to replace.
I do how ever, really like the parts department. They always seem to find the parts I need or atleast tell me where I can get them if they can’t!
Jake, the salesman was a good guy, seemed honest, and was fairly knowledgable about jeeps.
The service i got after has been the worst ive ever had, the jeep has been in 3 times for a hood proprod, the body shop had to do it the third time. they sold the hood proprod before they could install it the third time, so i had a trip up to the dealer for nothing. The mechanic broke the headlight bucket the first two times, and left metal shavings all over the engine, fenders, and front bumper.
One salesman, tony called a black customer a n***** in the back room when i went back to deal with the finance guy. The General manager did nothing about it.
Pretty shady place if you ask me, i wont return.
Always had good service have purchased there before and always have service therre.
Always a great place to do business. Have never had a bad experience in either sales or service. Danny is the best salesperson around. Highly reccommend.
At best they are dishonest in there dealings make sure you read everthing.
One stop REVIEW:
After overlooking an insulting remark a salesman said about me infront of my wife and others, I soon discovered that the Service Center is absolutely HORRIBLE equaling that of the sales staff.
I’ve stuck with them up to this point in hopes that things would improve when they see I am a loyal customer who gets routine maintenence and believes in keeping the vehicle running as it should. Having all the paperwork at one dealership
(the dealership where purchased) would be convenient and eliminate any chance of losing my extended warranty coverage.
Well, unless the vehicle is broke down on the side of the road, or it isn’t coming staright out of my pocket, they don’t find anything wrong. However, they jump all over preventative maintenence. $500 here, $800 there. Money adds up fast with things that does not need to be done. They will make you believe it is necessary, but it isn’t…. So… scammers? YES! They put a deep scratch in my paint and would not repair it or claim fault. They sent me to the body shop to track someone down. An hour later I get in touch with this person and all he did was fill it in with a paint brush. This was a fresh scratch straight out of the repair bay…..
Customer Service………………………………………. -5
I have yet to be satisfied with this place. If anyone answers the phone it’s a miracle! If you get an update, it’s a miracle. They will keep you waiting as long as you let them….. My most recent experience with the a service advisor led to both of us raising our voices loud enough the whole shop could hear because he would not allow me to speak what I needed to say. Key words in Customer Service are CUSTOMER SERVICE………You LISTEN and you DO what I PAY you to DO. BOTTOM LINE……… Any place that can’t do that will be out of BUSINESS.
My wife had an unfortunate event. Somone hit her car in a parking lot. We brought it to Gladstone Dodge for repair as always, even though previous encounters were sub par. The Body Shop took the car in alright. After keeping it two weeks longer than expected, they attempted to return the car which was dropped off clean as a whistle, they attempted to return the car to me covered in overspray and polish had been flung all over, including inside the door jams. The fresh paint had light scratches in it already and the body work was scary.
It was truely pathetic. Words can’t describe the look on my face.
So, 4 weeks later I was forced to leave my vehicle over another weekend and didn’t receive a call until the next wednesday.
Next time in, I over looked it carefully. The shop manager came over to me with a look of curiosity. I simply asked him if he thought the work was satisfactory. He said no………….. we slacked a little on cleanup. I asked if they plan on replacing the roof rack they damaged. After enough arm twisting he agreed to order a replacement. Today is months later and I have yet to receive a call to inform me the part has arrived.
Bottom Line..
GLADSTONE DODGE is good for nothing but BAD BUSINESS!
Our sales associate was a little over the top with far fetched stories, but seemed like a generally nice guy. The finance department guys were both excellent. This is where the good part ends.
We realized when we went to get tags for the car that the sales tax had not been figured into our loan, that was done through the dealership. The dealership worked with a bank for the loan obviously, but we had no contact with the bank. The sales associate asked us if we would like the tax included in the loan, or if we were going to pay for it out of pocket. We asked to have it added to the loan.
We offered the dealer an amount $1,500 below their asking price, and signed the offer. The sales associate returned to us with a counter offer, and lead us to believe that the counter offer was including sales tax and trade in. We now come to find out that sales tax was NOT included in the price shown to us. So now they are telling us, that their counter offer was the EXACT SAME PRICE THEY HAD LISTED ON THE CAR! Which was above our budget. They were also aware of our budget from the beginning, and we specifically told them that even though this was $800 above our budget, we could deal with it. Now, with taxes, the car is $1800 above budget, which we never would have agreed to.
Now it is too late, because we signed our loan statements that showed the price we were expecting to see, not knowing that the sales associate didn’t tell the loan department that we needed to have the taxes included in the loan. If we had seen the extra $1000 on the loan we would have NEVER BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. We would have gone with one of the other cars in our price range.
Now, because of a sales associates mistake, we are stuck with the extra taxes. The management then decided that we were apparently too young and stupid to understand that you have to pay taxes on goods……No matter how many times we tried to explain to the general manager that we understood that the dealership does not collect the taxes, he kept repeating it. IT DOESN’T MATTER IF THE DEALERSHIP COLLECTS TAXES, WE WERE TOLD THAT OUR LOAN VALUE INCLUDED THE TAXES AS WE REQUESTED! We, two completely different people, were lead to believe by the same person, that the total cost of the vehicle was a grand less than it actually was.
We were very pleased with the initial process until we found that that they did not include our sales tax into our loan which we verbally told our salesperson before financing the car. We went to register the car and found out it was going to cost over $1,000 for the sales tax. We were very confused because we thought and had been told that the sales tax was included in our final price and loan for the car. We went to management and they thought we were the fools because sales tax in missouri is not included in the final price; however, they told us that the sales tax was going to be included into our loan which was the same price as the final price. management did not want to work with us at all, total jerks, and wouldn’t even compromise for poor customer service at the least. They were not caring or did not want to listen to anything we had to say! Please do NOT step foot onto this car lot!:devil(
