Purchased a 2013 Chevy Avalanche 8/1/2017. Took too long to clear purchase even with certified checks from local banks. Too many excuses over 6 hours wasted with unnecessary paperwork, Make sure you see and check the title prior to purchase. Keep your down payment low and have the car inspected by a mechanic or shop of your choosing. Get your own Carfax or Autocheck report. Take a full test drive (local and highway). Check the VIN with your insurance company prior to purchasing. Spent hours waiting to pick up the vehicle. Car not fully cleaned and detailed. Will tell that 80% of the paperwork is required by state law (not true). Read all paperwork and contract prior to signing or giving them any money (bring a calculator). Take note: Do your own financing if possible.
My wife and I were expecting twins in May 2016 and bought a Cadillac Escalade in April 2016 from Deluxe Auto Sales in Linden, NJ to fit our growing family. The website had a ton of pics of this car, it looked as it was cleaned in and out and detailed beautifully. When I arrived and I was shown the car the reality was far from the internet pictures. I understand its hard to keep the outside of the car clean but the inside was a mess. Floor carpeting was stained, one of the arm rests was missing a knob (visible as soon as you get in), dash looked and felt sticky, window film driver’s side was pealing off, I found a corroded old AA battery in one of the cupholders, it looked like it was there leaking for a long time. The sales person indicated that the manager was driving this vehicle at some point and that’s why it was in that shape. I figured, no big deal, this can all be cleaned. So did a quick test drive and everything felt and looked good.
The sales person and I made a list of things I would liked to have done to the car to close the deal. It was a simple list. One of the items was not just clean the car but detail it, fix the window film and a couple other minor things. Also, since the car did not have any current inspection stickers, I was assured that they run full mechanical tests to the cars before they put them on the lot, and that it should pass inspection without any issues.
The car was shipped to my house (I live in another state). Here’s were the nightmare begins:
* Car was supposed to be delivered between 6-7 in the afternoon. I did not receive it until midnight (it was a weekday).
* Upon inspection of the car I realized it had not been detailed like we agreed as a condition to the sale. It wasn’t even cleaned at all. That old rusty battery was still there, along with all the filth in the dash board.
* They had replaced the film on the window but now opening and closing that window sounded like if I was boiling a witch on hot oil.
* I called and texted the sales person who had been communicating with me fairly reasonably but all of the sudden he was nowhere to be found. Did not respond to texts or emails or calls. I finally called the dealership and spoke to a manager and after calling each other back and forth they agreed to send me a $300 check to cover the detailing and some of the minor work pending.
* After maybe driving the car 4 or 5 times a ‘Suspension’ error came on the dash…
* When I took the car for inspection it cost me $1,100 to pass and was told that it would cost another $1,000 to fix the suspension issue.
* Two weeks after the inspection the car wasn’t operable anymore. It would turn on but would not move at all. Had it towed to a Cadillac dealership and they had to replace both lines for the power steering. Cost $1,000
* This past labor day weekend i drove to see my family with my wife and twins and the check engine light came on three times while we were on the road.
I don’t feel safe driving this car with new born twins. We literary only used this vehicle to pediatric appointments for the twins.
This is extremely frustrating. I’m out of money, can’t afford any more repairs, and have to pay a high monthly payment for a car that does not work for me. Is there anything I can do? Anyone reading this have any ideas if there is a way out since the car only one month of warranty?
If you’re thinking about buying a car from this dealership, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to elaborate on all of this and other problems I had with this place and even provide names so you know who to avoid.
Bottom line – I DO NOT RECOMMEND this dealership at all. It has ruined me.
Be very, very careful…
I feel sorry about you Rene. I’m from Massachusetts, I bough a 2006 Infiniti FX45 in 2009 I know my credit score wasn’t the best but they screwed me, I put 10k down and the sales person “Gregory” refused to give my rate, he said that he didn’t know it because it is a “personal informacion” so when I met the Filipines guy, he said I know the rate is a “little hi” (like credit card) 23% the loan was around 40k but making on time your firts six payments and then ask to them to get a better rate you could get a rate as low as 6% so I wasn’t sure but the only thing I wanted was drive the car of my “dreams” so after the six payments I called and they refused to give me a better rate and kept my rate until 2012 ( because I refinanced after tree years paying $690 with Exeter financing, plus insurance) and then I had the opportunity to sell it. When I took this car I noticed that pressure sensor was on so I though it just needed air… But I had to change 2 tires, a few months a check engine light came on I went to the dealership I paid around 3k to fix it they ordered to a piece from “Japan” and it took about 3 weeks to get all done. After this I had a problem with electric system so I couldn’t use my GPS, radio… Etc. To fix it a took a loan from my sister so after I sold it to her just for the loan and a few more dollars. Now just look a simple car. So the experience with this dealership was the worst thing happened to me ever…
Salesman was Kevin. Very pleasant to deal with. Knowledgeable, No pressure. Would definitely recommend friends and family to see Kevin. It was a pleasant experience.
While shopping for my new vehicle Renato was very helpful. He knew how to make us comfortable and understood when time alone was needed to discuss a major financial decision. I am satisfied with my purchase. Thanks
I bought my Mercedes from Deluxe Auto. Everyone was nice but Roman was the best. He was very professional and courteous. Roman treated both my husband and I with respect and sincere in his dealing with us. Christian also displayed professionalism and respect.
Deluxe was very helpful with finding a car. They explained all aspects of the sale thoroughly. The staff is very welcoming and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend Deluxe. Kevin G. was an extremely helpful salesperson.
Fantastic! I can’t express enough how courteous and knowledgeable Roman and Christian are. They both made the car buying experience actually enjoyable. I felt no pressure to look at or purchase anything I did not want to. I’ve never had such a good service purchasing a vehicle and I was very comfortable here. We will be coming back and referring any potential customers to Deluxe Auto! Great job! Sue was also fantastic on assisting me over the phone and online and is to thank for starting this whole process! thank you!
Scam, scam, scam!!! Run don’t walk way from this place. Why would a dealership charge $1,000 for dealers prep on a used car? Never heard of this. Their listed prices are after a 2 – $3,000 down payment for financing purposes. Very creepy place. Not even desks or cubicles to talk to salespeople.

Bunch of liars! Advertised Infiniti FX35. Called at 6:50PM on Wednesday to inquire on availability. Ron told me car available and I should come first thing in the morning. Dealership closing in five minutes: at 7:00PM. Arrived at Deluxe of Sales of New Jersey and met Ron who said he sold the car at 1:00AM that morning. 1:00AM?? Go figure!! As of today – more than one week later- the same FX35 is still being advertised of Autotrader and Cars.com. Couldn’t resist temptation to call and inquire again. Ironically, I spoke to Ron and guess- the Intiniti FX35 is still available says Ron. Come on down! Quite frankly, I’m glad I didn’t have the miserable experience of buying a car from a bunch of dishonest want to be car dealers.
Worst dealership i ever been to, They treat customers like shit after u purchase a car, i recommend nobody to this dealership, they cause nothing but pain and suffering for me, do not go there…
Terrible experience. The do not have what they advertise. All their cars look in a very bad shape.
Stay away from this crap hole.
Cars and sales people were horrible.
wondering where the positive reviews came from….
the dealershipwrote them
these cars are from the auction that no BMW dealer would touch

We recently brought a bmw x 5 from this place. THe car has been nothing but trouble. Dealer gave a clean so call car fax from another provider, it turned out to be false. When I went to insure the car, the insurance company told me there was previous accident which car dealer did not have on their report. There was a serious leak in the car which costed over 3g to repair. Do not buy cars from this place.
My experience was very good the Sales person Mike made the purching process a good experience and i will recommend this dealership to everyone i know, thanks again Mike and Deluxe Auto!!
I purchase a car from here with Hernan. Hernan will not steer you wrong. If you are going to buy a car please go to him.
Was a good experience as far as buying a car goes. Got a good price. Good service. Car had an issue with paint, paint guy fixed it. Had car diagnostic done at the dealership, they said car was very clean (BMW). Over all I would say it was a good experience and I would buy from them again.

Very good dealer. Much more better than some other dealers I met before. Suggest to have a look when buying car.
Very responsible dealer. Promised me to order a bulb for me and he made it as he said. Good experience here!
Went to this dealer just to look and had no intentions of buying a car that day. I Did feel the “average” pressure from the salesman to buy at that time. He did come with a somewhat good deal. The down-payment and monthly payments were more than I planned but we did buy the car. So far we are very satisfied with the car. We are also very impressed that so far Hernan has kept all his promises. I would definitely buy from this dealer again and would only deal with Hernan!
I bought a 2007 Grand Cherokee SRT8 that was in great condition, help full staff and buying and financing was a breeze. Wouldn’t think twice about buying from them again.
If you are on the market for pre-owned luxury vehicle, you have to go to Deluxe Auto Sales! I have never been disappointed with any aspect of their service.
P.s Thank you Herman, I love my BMW!!!
Do not buy what he is telling you or selling you, SERIOUSLY STAY AWAY… Found what seemed like a great deal online. Talked to Debra Vazquez and Ranato numerous times. I was driving from upstate NY, so I wanted to talk numbers (2 hour drive). They agreed to waive their $1000 destination charge, but said I’d have to pay their $299 paperwork charge. I should have known this place was shady at this point. Who charges destination fees on used cars. Against my better judgement I drove to this hell hole. All the cars are fairly beat-up, these are city cars. When I get there they tell me somebody just bought the car. They plead for me to wait around, and the “other” deal falls through. I test drive the car, it was a nice interior i give them that, go into talk numbers quickly. And Angelo tells me they can”t waive the fees anymore. We call in Ranato, who I have to give credit to at this point, he tells Angelo yes the fees can be waived “Tony and Debra said so”. Angelo leaves comes back in 15 minutes later and tell me that Ranato changed his story now and the best he can do is split the fees. What kind of crap is this? These people are bold face scammers, buyer beware. Im sure these good reviews are written by them, too.
I am a very satisfied buyer from Deluxe Auto Sales car dealership, and i can assure to anyone who is reading this that i am not an employee from this dealership. This is my second time buying a luxury vehicle from this place and i am very happy with my purchase. They have helped me out every step of the way and i would highly recommend this place to all of my colleagues.
I purchased a 2007 Range Rover in March 2011 from Deluxe Auto Sales in Linden, NJ. The moment I drove the car out of the dealership I noticed that the check engine light came on & the brakes made this awful sound, I spoke to the salesman and I was told to bring the vehicle back the following day for their mechanic works only part time and he comes in at 6:00pm in the evening. I took the car back the next day and waited for the assessment, I was told that nothing was wrong with the engine and the light is now off and it must be the gas that I used that is giving a false reading and causing the light to come on and I should purchase gas only at reputable gas station as Shell for they have less water in their supply. Also, I was told the brakes were checked and nothing is wrong for these cars that is the sound the brakes makes. By the end of the next week the check engine line came back and the brake problem continues, I brought the car back in early May to the Dealer on a Monday and when I called on Tuesday, I was told that they ordered the part to fix the brakes, by Thursday I was told that they fixed the brakes and it needed brake pads & rotors. The manager told me that the brakes were not included in my warranty and it would be a charge, I informed him that this problem existed from day 1 therefore I should not pay for the cost of the repairs. I picked up the car and the brakes were still making that awful sound and the check engine light is off, couple days after check engine light is on again, take the car back on 5/9/11 was told that it needed sensors to correct the problem and the job cost $1200.00, however being that I have the particular warranty, the cost to me will be $400.00. Again, I told the manager that I should not be charged, he told me ok and that my warranty should now be in effect (for I paid approx. $2,000 for additional warranty) therefore he will not be responsible for any additional repairs on the car and I will have to take the car to another dealership if I needed repairs for he wants this problem to go away. I was told the car was ready to be be picked up on 5 /12/11. I requested a print out of all the repairs done on the car from day one, the manager told me that he will request it from his repairman & call me on 5/13/11. I called him on 5/14/11 and the manager told me that he still did not receive it and will call me on 5/16/11, he did not call me. The car remains at the dealership for I refuse to pick up the car without the paperwork. These people are extremely dishonest, if repairs were done on the car, by law there should be a service ticket to show the service. The manager had the audacity to tell me that I have trust issues, I wonder why? If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Deluxe Auto Sales- FORGET ABOUT IT!! This is not the end of it, I will keep the public updated as this situation unfolds, next time I will be giving names.
Typical BAIT AND SWITCH with False advertising scam. Stay away from these people. I called 2 hrs prior to my arrival at the dealer to make sure that they have the car that was interested in. I even asked about specific model with specific vin and milage. They told me go ahead – just come in. So I did drive 50 miles out of my way to find that they DONT have the car I called about but they were more than happy to show me other cars. Typical BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM. Stay away from these jokers. I asked and confronted them why did they lie to me and I got nothing but excuses.
