Tricked me into financing when I originally wanted to pay upfront. Said I could just pay full amount on first finance bill. I’m paying thousands more than I thought I would. Have had to repair four different problems on this used car in six months. I’m old and drive slow and not on the highway, problems came with the car. For example, battery died within one month of purchase. Latest problem was with the transmission. Have had better luck buying cars from private sellers. Went here because I thought I’d get a reliable car. Will never return and don’t want a response. Don’t trust them.

Called on a certified GMC. I got numbers over the phone from frank in chevy. When I got there he had it pulled up to drive and the price was exactly as he said. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother process.

Great place to shop, family owned, many vehicles to choose from. they make feel like a valued customer no matter how big the sale. couple of things that didnt go my way at first, however with great customer care they took care of issues that most places wouldnt have. When we walked in we told them exactly what we needed to do and they did the total opposite. The car was suppose to be in my name and my husband as co-signer, but he is listed as the owner and I am the co=signer. Thanks to them screwing up we lost out on buying a house. When my husband went there Brian Hesse was so rude to him. The business manager that we signed with knew he was wrong and said so himself and them when talking in front of Brian he back paddle and blamed us. We should have read the paperwork more closely and made sure it was done right.
I had let message with Charlie Sr but he never called us. He had Brian call and he was so rude and made us feel stupid.
Charlie Sr is not man enough to talk to his customers. All we wanted was for them to rewrite the paperwork the correct way and they refused.
I will never walk into Commonwealth Motors again.

When you purchased the vehicle your husband was needed to receive an approval from the bank. Whether you are listed as the first signer or the co-signer on a legal finance contract does not affect how it is reported to the credit bureaus. It will show on your credit as a loan. We tried to explain this. Changing the paperwork would not change the fact that you have an outstanding obligation to the bank.
Your husband was well aware of the implications of signing a contract as he asked to have us limit the number of banks we sent his information to, which we did with only 1 bank.
Unfortunately, someone gave you misinformation about how to handle your credit. We are not an advisor or ever try to be with any customer about how to handle their own finances. If you had known this would become an issue you should have seeked a professional financial advisor.
First of all the reason my husband didn’t want you to ping his credit was because we were planning on buying a house and he didn’t want his credit score to be affected which is what we told Keith.
You guys gave us misinformation this is why we are so upset with the issue. I feel that it should have been address when we went there and when we talked to Brian Hesse who by the way was very rude. I would never in my life talk to a customer like that. I also feel that Charlie Sr should have returned my calls and at least to speak to us about our issues. To us it seems like he only cares about making money and not how the customer feels. What happen to customer satisfaction. Obviously it doesn’t matter how we feel that we were wronged by Commonwealth Motors.
The business manager we dealt with admitted to my husband that he was wrong but when in front of Brian back paddle to make it look like it was our fault.
Like I said before I will never step foot in this dealership again.
My pregnant girlfriend was ripped off when she bought her Uplander LT from them. They make everything look and sound good. Phone calls haven’t helped. . We bought it with 39000 on it and have sunk tons of money into it. Have been told by local dealers to get an attorney so we have too!

Since whoever purchased the vehicle here in 2010 you have only visited our service department for 1 condition 14,000 miles later and never returned. If your girlfriend has some issues I would recommend her to bring it in so we can look at it. It is not your place to complain about us without her ever asking for any assistance or even bringing something to our attention.

Their motto is “Shop Us Last”, but with gas prices so high and the stress of traveling from dealer to dealer hoping to find the best deal a major pain in the ***, do yourself a favor and “Shop Them First”. Salesman Ivan Lovera was a pleasure to with and was extremely helpful. Sales Manager Shawn Berryman was able to get us deal that made us feel confident that we made the right choice of buying a new vehicle from them. They have a large number of vehicles in stock and did not steer us in the direction of a vehicle that was out of our price range.
I am a second time buyer at Commonwealth Motors and have been completly satisfied with both purchases. I recently bought an 07 Jeep Liberty and did my reseach on line, found the vehicle I wanted at Commowealth Motors. From the moment I walked into the dealership, i was greeted with may friendly faces. My salesman was honest and patient with me as I made my decision. The finance manager and car manager both worked with me to get me the best possible financing and I am truly grateful for that!. I have previously bought several new cars elsewhere, But have Never experienced the lies, deceit, tricks, and harassment as I did at “Commonwealth Motors”. The staff is VERY unprofessional & rude and will attempt to cheat you until the very last line is signed..IE: I was never told about a $1,5000 cash back offered directly by “Honda Motor Corp.” When I became aware of this this cash back incentive–(one day before I was to pick up the bought car) Commonwealth Motors “sales “team” said that they had included the $1,500 cash rebate into the price I was given for my trade-in. I told them, due to these circumstances, I no longer wanted this car. I was then told by Joe Gerbino, the sales manager, “Too bad, your signiture is all over this contract now”. If you do decide to buy from Commonwealth Motors, please bring your best attorney and video tape everything.

I know this is a bit of a necro reply, but seeing your comment really warranted it. It is not their job to inform you of incentives, though that would certainly be a kind gesture, it is YOUR responsibility to find that out. If you’re walking around blind without a cane, don’t go around with an agenda of blame displacement. As far as where it went, I’ll agree that it going to your trade is fairly murky waters – but I’m willing to bet your trade was probably over allowed because you had this glorified sense of self entitlement where you believe sentimental value somehow converted into monetary value. Furthermore, why you even bothered to preface your comment with how you’ve purchased past vehicles is at best comical; at worst, an introduction on how to fail statistics and general understanding. Your prior experience, however small a sample size that may be, is not evidence of, nor accurate to say, that an outcome can be determined from said experience. Because you felt you were not subjected to “lies, deceit, tricks and harassment” does not mean it did not occur – you just felt you had a great deal (which, in itself, is fine). Each visit will probably yield an independent result (unless you’re bordering on precognition). Misinterpreting prior experience will always result in error when you treat them as mutually exclusive functions. Lastly, you don’t need to “bring an attorney and video tape everything”, hundreds if not thousands of retail vehicle transactions occur daily, presumably without an attorney or video recording equipment present.
