Everything went smoothly. They honored the priced agreed apon and the didn’t try to trick me. To me, that goes al long way!!
Just an overall great experience. Not a lot of tricks. Straight to the point and mindful of my time. Just wanted to say thanks.
I leased a new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Riverdale about a month ago. For a smaller store, the pricing was very aggressive and the service couldn’t have been better. I have had 3 Jeeps back to back all purchased at a competing dealership and not only did Riverdale match the price, they beat it. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new Jeep. I hope the service department is as good a the sales department was.*
We bought a Chrysler Town and Country from Riverdale and had a great experience. The whole process went smoothly and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. We will buy from Riverdale again.
First, the guys in this dealership are nothing but THUGS.
Especially, that fast-talking moron maintenance manager,
Sonny “BIG MOUTH” Torres.
Have you ever heard of being scammed, inconvenienced, ripped off, and mouthed off to simultaneously???
Anyway, my jeep wouldn’t start one evening and being that
RIVERDALE CHRYSLER JEEP was the closest service center;
I had it towed there the next morning.
They told me the problem was a faulty starter, and believing that they were honest professionals; I permitted the repairs to be done.
I picked the car up exactly one week later, and all seemed well until
THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM = IDENTICAL.
The car wouldn’t start and I was stranded once again.
This time I had my personal mechanic look at it, and he couldn’t believe that RIVERDAL CHRYSLER JEEP replaced my starter because my car is still relatively NEW and he has 4 or 5 SRT8’s on his client roster that never had that particular problem that early on.
One hour later, he called me and told me that the battery needed to be replaced and that one of the cells in it had simply died out.
GUESS WHAT???
My car never died again and I didn’t get STRANDED.
Now, RIVERDALE CHRYSLER JEEP charges $150.00 just to look at your car and do a diagnostics test.
How did they not notice the battery was malfunctioning???
The worst part was when I called them that day and that fat, mumbling Keith started telling me I had to do this and I had to do that.
I told him to hook me up with the maintenance mananger,
Mister FUNNY SONNY TORRES.
He started out right by offering the free tow, but by that time I had already found out what the REAL PROBLEM was and mentioned it to him.
He immediately got really defensive and loud, and told me that the battery wasn’t the problem a week earlier.
Meanwhile, my mechanic was listening in and spoke to him briefly.
Then SONNY got even more defensive and loud, instead of being sypathetic to the customer who just got ripped off for his time and money, only to be treated like a STREET THUG.
Rememeber!!!
I got stranded and inconvenienced, not you MISTER TORRES.
Then, he hung the phone up on me; only to call beack minutes later with a faster/louder tone!!!
I gave him a piece of my mind and I’m not finished with him or that GHETTO DEALERSHIP.
Are you reading this Mister Dennis???
Look me up PLEASE
Call me back HONESTLY
Let’s talk like gentlemen and not like the people you employ.
Either that or you are going to WISH that you never WRONGED me.

Jeep Commander Electrical Problems
August 25, 2011
I want to go on record concerning the following issues. Dash lights going out, vehicle just not starting, check engine light going on and off, numerous (at least 8) electrical checks of the vehicle all of which indicated “no issues.”
Yet, my 2006 Commander has become so unreliable, I am just afraid to drive it more than a few miles of home. This really renders the vehicle almost useless to me.
I have been towed 4 times, had the vehicle stall at least 4 times and numerous occasions when it just would not start.
I have paid over $750 in rental cars, $2000 in repairs, and $400 in tows.
The latest happened today as all instrument panel lights went out, the radio and air conditioner just stopped while driving at about 30-40 mph.
I called a tow, then 3 hours later the car started up on it’s own, I paid him for his efforts and decided to drive the vehicle back home (about 98 miles away) and take it back to the dealer for a 5th time.
As fate would have it, about half way home the exact same thing happened, instrument gauges go out, radio cuts off and air conditioner dies but the vehicle continues to run and all goes back to normal in a few seconds. As I turned in my drive way it happened yet again but I did get safely home and I tried to restart it immediately.
Nothing! Attempted to jump it with my other car to no avail. The Dealer keeps telling me there is nothing wrong! I’m sick of it I plan to dump the Jeep for anything I can get for it as it is basically worthless to me.
Riverdale Chrysler Jeep made the very generous offer to buy the car back for $3000 less than I paid 5 weeks after I purchased the truck. Manager was also very helpful when I asked what should I do? He said “You should get rental insurance for $200 a year this way you don’t have to pay for rentals when the car breaks down”. I thanked him for all his wonderful help.
I took my Jeep in to Riverdale Jeep for an oil change. When picking the car up, I was told that the brake pads were almost completely gone, damage to my car was imminent, and an appointment and expensive repair should be scheduled (over $1000). I was immediately suspicious, as my car had been looked at a month earlier for a separate issue, with no brake problems. I found a second opinion. Over two years later, and my (unchanged) brake pads are still less than half worn. This dealership point blank lied to me and thought they could take advantage. I would never use them again, never recommend them, and have reported them.In addition, for weeks after the oil change they called daily and did not leave messages, then pushed more services when I picked up the phone. Worst and most dishonest company that I have ever dealt with.
This guy should be a deli clerck.
Rude, and thinks he can intimmidate people.
This guy is the worst service person I have ever had to deal with. He scarred my bumper by drilling 6 holes to attach the license plate. Only 2 holes were needed. I assume, he just couldn’t get the thing on correctly the first or second time.
Also he delivered the vehicle with a defective moon roof louver, which fell onto the front passenger seat when I slid back the moon roof shade. Also did ot furnish a full tank of gas………….had to fill up on my way home. Only had less than 1/4 tank.
This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had.
And when I reported all of this the Chrysler Corp, I found out what their 5 Star service is all about. NOTHING !!
They just dropped the ball. I have had a few Chrysler vehicles in the past, but This will be the last time I buy from them. Too bad since my Chrysler 300 is a very nice vehicle.

Tried to rip me off .
I was told I could swap the Metal grille for the standard grille at no cost.
Bobby Albert tried to charge me $350. I walked out.
When I arrived home the salesman I originally was dealing with, left 5 messages on my tel answer machine . Begging, I mean BEGGING me to return. He said he would come and pick me up, and do the deal and drop the $350.00 for the grille exchange. I ignored all the messages and was angry.
At the start Rob A. was my saleseman. After we were done haggling, He started to prepare the order. I went to get a cold drink Upon my return Bobby A. was sitting in Rob A.’s chair. That,s when he tried to puul the scam. That’s when I walked !
The phone rang again. Rob begged for me to return.
Feeling sorry for him, but against my better I let him pick me up. Big mistake. I did purchase the vehicle. But that’s when the nightmare started. See comments for the Service Manager/Department
