On Friday Sept. 13, 2019 I had an appointment at 0745 to bring my 2016 Silverado 1500 in because the rear view camera was not working and a recall on the brakes. I instructed the service rep to call me when they checked it out. I called 4 times throughout the day to get an update on my truck and being promised each time they would have the service rep call me back. I finally reached the service rep at approximately 4:00 and was told they had not checked the truck out. I asked why it had not been checked by this time seeing I had a 7:45 appointment. He laughed and said we have vehicles still in the parking lot from Wednesday that have not been serviced. I asked what the purpose of me making an appointment if they were not going to look at my truck. His reply was so I could tell him what was wrong with the truck. I told him I told Pete Morning service department what was wrong with the truck when I made the appointment. I told him this was totally unacceptable and poor customer service especially that had to call 4 times to get information. I sent my son to Pete Moore to pick up the truck at 4:45 and when he arrived, they would not release the tuck until the recall was completed. Took them over 9 hours to do a 15 min. recall. The service rep also told my son they could not find anything wrong with the rear view camera. But as my son was leaving with the truck he put it to reverse and the camera was not working and when he showed it to the service rep. the service rep let it slip and said oh we knew that, “ We have a print out showing it doing that” . Hmmmm Imagine that….. I have bought 3 trucks from Pete Moore over the past few years and If this is how they feel about their customers, they will not have to worry about me buying or servicing another truck with them.
A recent experience with another Chevrolet dealership reaffirmed all my negative feelings toward car salesmen. Pete Moore and specifically, salesman, Derek Rowland, took those negative feelings & turned our truck purchase into one of the most pleasant, positive purchase experiences we have ever had. We “built” our truck online & got an immediate reply. No back & forth, no hassle, no all day long ORDEAL…Derek had our deal ready & we were out the door within an hour – with the truck we wanted, at a lower interest rate, with no additional cash down, with a payment we could afford & no BS. Utmost professionals – from the receptionist, sales, service, financing & the even courtesy “chauffeur” – Pete Moore made us feel like they wanted us there & wanted to earn our business. Awesome!
Bruce Neely is a great salesman, he made me very welcome with a great smile and very entertaining and kept mein the loop with what was going on. He puts the customer first… His expertise and knowledge of the vehicles is what makes you want to buy and feel secure in your purchase. If you need any type of vehicle I believe he would find it for you. He pointed out areas of a vehicle that I was first looking at and showed me that it really wasn’t a good car for me. Pete Moore should give him a promotion…… He deserves it!!!
Purchased a vehicle over the internet for the first time. Was quite wary of the process, so I asked ALOT of questions, did research, received an AutoCheck report on the vehicle and all seemed fine. Was told the vehicle did not have the factory GPS (built in) CD to operate the Navigation System. I was told one would be found and I would receive.
I traveled 1500 miles to pick-up the vehicle, but Navigation Disc had yet been found. Have been told repeatedly “I’m working on it”. Several months later, not one call to hear about status of disc.
Also, was NEVER told the vehicle I purchased was a REPO. It was not disclosed on the Auto-check, and the dealership did not inform me of this.
Recently, I just took the vehicle in for front end alighnment as it has a drift to the right (used, 40000 miles). I consider this normal maintenance. however, the alignment shop informed me that the pitman arm and idler arm are worn and do not pass inspection. I had this confirmed by a separte repair facilty. I cetainly cannot return the vehicle 1500 miles.
My advice, ask ALOT of questions and get it in writing. I will not purchase from the dealership in the future.
