Lets start of with salesman of the year Craig Patel, do not waste your time with this fraud. Plenty of other honest BMW dealers out there.
Without going into a 4 page review. Attempted to purchase a preowned vehicle here and after some issues the order was cancelled.
However the check for the loan was already deposited and a $2500 deposit on a credit card was put through. Was assured that a “speedy” refund would be put through. After 2 weeks of attempting to contact these people, still waiting on a refund for both the loan and credit card. What is the most upsetting of all is that everyone refuses to acknowledge this issue or just doesn’t respond.
FYI his manager Tony Sclafani, pretty much a useless liar as well.
Filed a complaint about Craig with BBB, consumer affairs and the state attorney generals office. Im in for $40,500 no way im going to walk away from this.
I’ve been leasing my BMWs from BMW of Peabody for the past twelve years and have been happy with my experience there from the very first lease. Everyone is always considerate of my time and goes to every length to make sure I get the car I want when I want it. I’ve been working with Chris Blasczak as my salesperson for the last nine years and he’s terrific. Very low key and anxious to make sure I am happy with my new car. He’s also aware of what I want and what I need in a car and always gives me a good opinion on what model and features should work best for me. Heather McFadden in the business office always makes that part of the transaction easy and is willing to literally “go the extra mile” since she came out to meet me near my home when I needed to provide the office with some additional documentation to complete my latest lease deal.
The salesman was very professional and a delight to work with. I have been using this dealership for maintenance for the past 11 years and have bought 2 BMW’s from them. I trust them and they always deliver top quality service!
BMW of Peabody was my first and only choice for a new car. I knew exactly what I was looking for and the salesman, Jay Fitzgerald, provided a no-hassle, no-pressure, smooth transaction. I picked up a 328i Coupe today and from the second I stepped in the door to the last handshake, Jay provided the best in customer service bar none.
The honesty and the no-frills approach he presented was top notch. I recommend that if you go to pick up a car at BMW of Peabody make sure you ask for Jay Fitzgerald. If you want the straight deal this is definitely the guy to talk to.
I would never go to this dealership again, even if they were giving BMW’s away for free!!!! They are great at trying to make their problems your problems and verbally abusing the customer especially if you’ve done your homework.
Overall excellent experience, purchased my second BMW from Scott. I have had no problems and appreciate his good service.
Two years ago we purchased a new BMW X3 and leased a BMW 325CI convertible. At the time, we were told that if we paid them $ 733. to install LoJack in the leased vehicle, that we would be credited for this at the end of the lease (which was written in as a separate line item next to our deposit amount). Throughout the lease term, we had all the service work performed at BMW Norwood, (the service from BMW Peabody was pretty poor – never returned phone calls, etc).
At the end of our lease period, we returned to BMW Peabody. We were told by Rick Belgiomo, leasing manager, that he had “no way” to honor the Lojack credit and we were “out of luck”. When asked if we could speak to a manager, he said he “was it” and we had two choices: either leave the car, or drive it home and refuse to drop it off. We drove the car back home and have negotiated with BMW corporate for the return of the car to another dealer.
In checking with a friend of mine who is in the car business, he told me that it was a common practice for the leasing agents to make this promise so that they got a bigger commission on the lease.
This is not like adding premium wheels or tires (which would not be credited). The addition of a LoJack system helps retrieve a stolen car for the benefit of the owner (BMW Peabody), and we had it fully insured for theft for our own protection.
We have also heard from others about this dealership not doing anything at all for customers after the sale is made. They have a huge investment in a new building. Hope they can find new customers to help them pay for it, because they lost our business for good.
Dealership never contacted me when I left three messages to try to make an appointment. I have been back three times to fix an electrical problem. Head of the dealership refused to contact me after I emailed him. It is a very nice car but I will never go back to BMW Peabody again.
